Chapter 386: Chapter 381 Causality Severance [Part 2]_1

Qin Shou looked closely at the girl for a long time before he finally began to see some clues in her facial features.

The girl seemed to be about eighteen or nineteen, but Qin Shou knew he couldn’t think in terms of the current time. He had to think back ten years, when the girl would have been just eight or nine years old.

Eight or nine years old, a round-faced little girl...

Suddenly, Qin Shou remembered—it was Shang Ying!

The famously stubborn granddaughter of old Shang, a man in the village well-known for his bad temper and stubbornness like a donkey!

Shang’s son and daughter-in-law had both passed away in a car accident, leaving behind only this precious child, whom he treasured beyond measure. Despite being extremely poor, Old Shang, with his lame leg, had still taken very good care of the girl.

However, Qin Shou did not expect that Shang Ying, who once had a plump face, had grown up to be so beautiful. He couldn’t help but marvel—women truly transform at eighteen, and indeed, they become more and more attractive.

But still, Qin Shou couldn’t figure out why Shang Ying, whose family didn’t have much of a relationship with his own, would come to take care of his family’s grave?

Shang Ying was a chatterbox, always liking to talk someone’s ear off since she was a child, and sure enough, she had not changed today. She knelt at the grave, nodding and shaking her head, saying, "Qin, the first cup was for Grandpa, don’t you drink it, okay? This second cup is for you; drink more with Grandpa, I’ve brought a big jug for you guys."

Qin Shou was stunned. Qin? Which Qin? Did Old Master Qin have another son? How come he didn’t know about it?

Qin Shou attentively examined the tombstone, only then he realized there was an additional line of words!

Here lies Qin Shou, the eldest son of Qin Mu!

The moment Qin Shou saw it, he understood: this Qin referred to him!

He also just remembered that his physical body in this world had indeed died... died from falling into a manhole, a death full of frustration!

However, the one thing that consoled him was that he had worked hard for so many years to buy a little house, and after his death, the state had arranged a nice place for him to stay. If he really had to rank it, with mountains behind and facing water, this place could be considered a terraced villa.

"Qin, rest assured, although you’re gone, we will take good care of yours. You are the hero who emerged from our village! A great hero! You saved a child who fell down and kicked away the high voltage power line in a moment of crisis. It’s a pity, you were electrocuted yourself. Ah... you actually died quite tragically, turning all black like that. But, a hero, no matter how unsightly, is still handsome..."

Hearing this, Qin Shou felt his head swarm with black lines; he couldn’t remember having any involvement with high voltage wires?

But now that he thought about it carefully, he recalled that indeed something had tripped him just as he fell through the manhole cover, causing his whole body to go numb. He couldn’t move at all while looking at the pit, and then he knew nothing.

So it turned out he was electrocuted by a high voltage wire and not suffocated to death after falling into the manhole?

Looking at it this way, his death wasn’t too embarrassing after all.

However, Qin Shou didn’t remember much else; after all, he was too busy trying to save someone at the time to take note of his surroundings. He was also unaware of how a high voltage line could have ended up on the ground...

But that wasn’t important anymore. After listening to Ying’s rambling for a while, Qin Shou began to understand the sequence of events.

Essentially, Qin Shou’s selfless act of saving others touched the entire country and went viral on the internet.

Then the village held him up as a model, and they took the initiative to take care of his funeral. The villagers spontaneously organized, taking turns to look after Qin Shou’s and Old Master Qin’s graves for a year each. A year per household, and it just kept going.

Up until now, it had been ten households’ turn...

Moreover, the villagers were really thoughtful; every day someone would bring Old Master Qin and Qin Shou drinks, and during festivals and holidays, there would be those who sent paper money for the spirits and so on.

Upon hearing this, Qin Shou felt an immense sense of poignancy and gratitude. He thought to himself, "Who the hell says the world is going to dogs? They must be blind!"

Now that he was sure Old Master Qin was being taken care of, the last bit of worry disappeared from Qin Shou’s heart. He silently infused a strand of Spiritual Energy into Shang Ying’s body as repayment. The Spiritual Energy wasn’t much, but for an ordinary person, it was enough to improve their physique, ward off all evil, never fall sick, live to a ripe old age, and maintain their youth at least a decade or two longer than others.

This was also considered a reward for Shang Ying.

After descending the mountain, Qin Shou did not rush to leave; instead, he visited each household, treating the ill, fortifying the healthy, and, finally, with his knowledge of Arrays, he set up a simple Array to gather Spiritual Energy in the village.

As night fell, Qin Shou once again visited each family using the dream incantation method, thanking everyone one by one with the image he had in life.

The next day, when everyone talked about their dreams, they were astonished to find they were exactly alike. Suddenly, the entire village was abuzz, and all the villagers went up the mountain to worship Qin Shou and Old Master Qin together.

With this Array to accumulate Spiritual Energy, the Earth, despite being in the Dharma Ending Age, may not create a blessed land, but it still allowed the locals to live healthily past the age of a hundred, with robust health, booming fortunes, and the scenery around became increasingly better.

In fact, decades after Qin Shou left, this place became famous because it suddenly had hundreds of seniors aged a hundred and twenty who were still playing basketball!

With visitors from outside, people were amazed to discover that the fruits, vegetables, and meats from here were of superior quality, far exceeding those from elsewhere!

Subsequently, the village prospered, and the descendants enjoyed wealth and honor. At the same time, they remembered their ancestral teachings and always took care of the Qin family’s ancestral graves.

Having left the village, Qin Shou fell into a state of confusion once again. He yearned to return to the Earthly Immortal Realm, but he didn’t know how to get back.

In his confusion, he visited the elementary, middle, and high schools he had attended, as well as the university...

He also toured around the familiar city.

The small house that once belonged to him was still vacant, and inside, there was an additional award plaque from Yongxiong House, clean and well-kept, apparently tended to regularly.

He even stayed there for two days and met the volunteer aunt who took care of the place.

After wandering the Earth for about a fortnight, one day, Qin Shou felt a call beckoning him. He suddenly stood up, pushed open the window, and rushed out, soaring into the sky, breaking through the clouds!

To his astonishment, he saw the moon growing closer to Earth, getting larger and larger!

Qin Shou also noticed the shadow of the King of Osmanthus Tree on the moon!

Only then did he remember that today was the fifteenth of August!

But then, a problem arose—this was Earth! How could there be a King of Osmanthus Tree on the moon? And why was the moon growing ever larger?

At the same time, all of Earth’s satellites, astronomical telescopes, and pedestrians stopped and looked up at the ever-expanding moon!

"Rabbit, not much time left, come in!" Wu Gang’s voice sounded.

Qin Shou’s heart quivered, and without delay, he shot out of Earth, heading straight for the moon!

Ps: I had so many things I wanted to say and to share with those who tipped. Today, I’m releasing two episodes at once, along with an extra update.
