'It always smells so good when she cooks. Home is never cold. She never yells at us. The children are happy. I think I might be too. I can follow my dreams. Like the rest of them. Kai was just so happy there. I want that. I am allowed to want.' Talan thought as he stood in a daze taking it all in. A smile grew on his face as he heard happy squeals from the children in the playroom. He was so happy he cried.

Nora wiped the sweat off of her brow with her forearm. She sampled each bowl. They will be having noodles today after all their work to make the product. Nora had a couple of different sauces ready. Herb butter was the easiest, because everyone already used it in their cooking. She made a cheese sauce and a pesto. She was still awaiting the cultivation of her tomato crop, but she was very much anticipating having some exciting new dishes. Nora was currently making ravioli for dinner and was filling the ravioli with meat and cheese. The pasta was going to be huge. Cerez was due home soon, and he would be excited to see what she did.

Talan walked to the main room and sat with Liem, Kai and the children as they worked and played with them, keeping them occupied. A timer went off and Nora stopped her work to take a break after turning off all the heat sources in the kitchen. She took out her cylinder full of vitamins and micronutrients that Janel prepared for her to prevent Maternal depletion syndrome. Cerez took perfect care of her nutrition, but back-to-back pregnancies took their toll on the body. Their healthcare was state of the art in that it was holistically keyed into their homes and internal hardware. "Can you do it for me?" Nora said, handing the cylinder to Kai. She hated doing that to herself. Kai looked at the cylinder. He hated causing her pain.

"Where do you want it this time?" Kai said. Nora pointed to her upper arm. He pressed the cylinder to her arm and she felt the prick of the needle as it lit up, the light pulsed as it delivered the injection into her bloodstream. The needle retracted where it was cleansed and sanitized inside the unit. Finally, a thin film of a liquid bandage was applied and cured quickly with a UV light. Kai pulled the cylinder away.

"Thank you, I can never bring myself to do it after the first time. It really pinches." Nora said, pouting.

"It is actually better to inject it into the middle third of your thigh up here. You will find that it hurts less there." Talan said as he placed his hand on her thigh for the first time. "You can also inject into your stomach as well." Talan said as he slid his hand up from her thigh to her stomach. He felt okay, still touching her. He removed his hand.

"I have a cylinder too, for emergencies. Kai. Do not hesitate to use it up to four times on me. But I think I have made enough progress to not need it." Talan said.

"So will you be joining us in the Spousal Bedroom?" Kai asked Talan curiously.

"Yes. I might leave if it gets too overwhelming for me. Is that alright?" Talan asked.

"Absolutely, I would never force my spouses to do anything that makes them uncomfortable. Would you prefer to just start with just the two of us since you still have some reservations?" Nora said to Talan in a conversation that needed to be carried on in subtext since they were in front of the children. "The four of them, look like they are bullying me sometimes, and it might be overwhelming to see." Nora said.

"Let's go to your room so we can discuss this away from the children. Bring that with you." Nora said. Talan put the cylinder in his pocket as he stood.

"We will be together for a little while, though Liem should be home soon. Will you be okay Kai, to watch them all alone?" Nora asked. Kai nodded. With that confirmation, Nora stood up and made her way to the bedroom that Talan was currently staying in. They closed the door, soundproofing the room. Nora smiled at him and sat down on the bed.

"It is actually better if we just start alone first. The addition of males is what I need the most practice with coping with." Talan said.

"I am definitely alright with starting off alone. If you want to try to participate when we are intimate as a group later on, then you can join anytime." Nora finished.
