Quick Transmigration: The Cannon Fodder's Comeback in the Era Tales-Chapter 70: The Pitiful Child Killed by Her Uncle 26
Yuan Chun caught a wild deer and then found a wild boar nest, capturing a family of six. As she ventured deeper into the mountains, she encountered a pack of wild wolves.
Hundreds of wolves, their small green eyes staring intently at her, making Yuan Chun’s blood boil with excitement.
Meat, so much meat, it’s all meat dishes, enough to feed the people of Xiaxi Village for half a month.
Before the wolf pack could make a move, Yuan Chun used her spiritual power to immobilize them. Then, she twisted their necks one by one and collected them into the Jade Gourd Space.
"Host, there are also herds of wild horses, deer, mountain goats, and even bears and tigers in the deep forest. Host, do you want to do a big sweep? I’ll guide you," said 007 excitedly.
Yuan Chun checked the time and shook her head, "Let’s forget it for today. I need to get back before dark, or else my second grandmother and aunt will start searching for me in the mountains."
The deep forests, untouched by anyone, were abundant with wild vegetables and mushrooms. On the way back, Yuan Chun walked while using spiritual power to gather all the edible wild vegetables and mushrooms she passed into the space.
By the time she exited the deep forest, the Jade Gourd Space was filled with a large pile of mountain goods.
"Yuan Chun, where have you been? Your aunt has been looking for you for ages, and you were nowhere to be seen."
As she walked near the edge of the forest, she soon encountered Aunt Lin and Gou Dan.
Aunt Lin glanced at her basket to see only a small handful of wild vegetables, and remarked, "You’ve been out all day and only picked this little? It’s not even enough for one meal. Let me give you some, my basket is full."
"Mom, let me give her some from my basket,"
Gou Dan sniffled and laughed awkwardly.
Seeing his hands covered in snot, Yuan Chun dared not accept his vegetables and quickly said, "Thank you, Aunt Lin, but you don’t need to give me any. I can eat enough for myself; the family won’t starve. It’s fine with just a bit of food."
"Aunt Lin, I won’t keep you, I need to find my aunt."
Worried that Gou Dan would really give her vegetables, she dashed away.
Gou Dan shouted after her, "Yuan Chun, I know where your aunt is, I’ll take you there."
Yuan Chun ran even faster.
Gou Dan managed a few steps in pursuit but couldn’t catch up, and returned to Aunt Lin’s side.
Aunt Lin teased her son, "You call yourself a young man and yet you can’t outrun Yuan Chun. No wonder she doesn’t like playing with you."
Gou Dan sniffled, defiantly saying, "I wasn’t running seriously. If it were a real race, Yuan Chun definitely wouldn’t outrun me."
Aunt Lin scoffed at her son, "Yuan Chun is younger than you and a girl. Competing in a race with a young girl and winning — does that give you any face?"
No face.
Reluctantly, Gou Dan wiped his nose with his sleeve until it was finally clean, much to Aunt Lin’s disgust.
Her son, the snotty bug, was so filthy. She had told him countless times to carry a handkerchief to wipe his nose. He listened, but nothing changed. He even lost one of her handkerchiefs, making her too angry to care anymore.
Yuan Chun found her aunt, who immediately began to nag her.
Seeing her empty basket, her aunt grabbed a handful of fresh mushrooms and put them in, saying, "Take these back and make yourself some mushroom soup."
"Thank you, Aunt."
Yuan Chun beamed with delight.
At night, Yuan Chun entered the deep mountains again. Guided by 007, she found the source of a stream and used her spiritual power to probe the underground river, drawing out a water line...
007: "..."
Who could tell it why its host had this ability?
To actually use her superpower as a water pump?
No wonder the host didn’t need to buy a water pump. She herself was a pump, able to use it anytime, anywhere.
Ugh, it found it so hard to earn any points from the host.
