Queen Mommy's Six Genius Babies Found the CEO Daddy-Chapter 99: Making Peace
Frank frowned.
"So what, you’re playing games with me now? Sophia, I’m your uncle! What happened back then was a misunderstanding. You weren’t there, you didn’t see what really happened. You’re just letting Aurora’s death cloud your judgment!"
"So what?" Sophia’s voice was laced with cold mockery. "I only trust my own judgment. If you shouldn’t exist—and if Wright Group has no reason to exist either—then why should I follow your rules? There’s a saying I like: The path I choose to walk, others better not stand in the way."
Her lips curved slightly, and she turned, taking the children with her as she left.
Frank collapsed onto the ground.
He knew Sophia would never spare Wright Group.
Anyone connected to Aurora’s death—she would make sure none of them escaped.
...
When Sophia returned to Silver Lake Villa.
But—
Just as she reached the steps, she froze.
A pure white dove stood silently on the stone stairs in front of the door.
It didn’t move. It just stood there, calm and still, the sunlight painting its feathers with a soft glow.
"A dove?" Sophia frowned.
The bird remained perfectly still—unafraid, unbothered, as if it had been waiting for her and the children to come home.
She had never been fond of birds, especially pigeons.
To her, they were nothing more than flying rats—dirty, noisy, and annoying.
"Mommy! Look, it’s so cute! Can we keep it?"
"No." Sophia’s rejection was immediate. "Don’t go near it. It might carry bacteria."
But the kids ignored her warning, circling around the dove with fascination.
The bird didn’t flinch. Instead, it tilted its head, watching them with curious, round eyes.
Then it took a few gentle steps forward—almost like it was trying to please them.
"Mommy, maybe it’s lost? It looks like it’s trying to find its home."
"Don’t be silly. It has wings—it can fly wherever it wants. How could it possibly be lost?" Sophia’s tone was cool, but she couldn’t help glancing at the bird again.
For a fleeting second, she thought those dark eyes seemed... gentle.
Gentle—and stubborn, somehow.
"Mommy, can’t we please keep it? Look, it’s not even scared! It really likes us!"
...
Not far away, under a maple tree, two figures were quietly observing the scene.
Though they couldn’t hear Sophia and the children clearly, it was obvious the kids were enchanted by the dove.
"Are you sure it won’t fly away?" one asked nervously.
"It won’t," Alex replied calmly. "Mr. Hilton, it’s been trained. It won’t move until nightfall."
Lucas nodded, reassured.
...
Sophia, who had been resisting at first, began to waver under six pairs of pleading, wide, innocent eyes.
Just as she was about to give in—
the dove suddenly spread its wings, its white feathers catching the sunlight like shards of glass, and in the next instant, it soared into the sky.
The children gasped in disappointment, their eyes following it as it disappeared into the clouds.
Sophia let out a soft sigh. "Alright, everyone inside. It has its own direction to follow."
She turned toward the door, her expression calm, though something in her chest tightened.
That dove... it was just like her life.
A fleeting encounter, an unexpected connection—and just when you thought you’d found a home, it flew away again, each destined to follow their own path.

Lucas looked at the closed door, his brows furrowed, voice low and edged with frustration.
"Didn’t you say that dove wouldn’t fly away?"
Alex winced beside him. "Mr. Hilton, that was... an accident! Please don’t be mad. Even if the dove flew off, Mrs. Hilton’s smart—she’ll get that the dove stands for peace and home. She’ll know you’re trying to make peace with her!"
Lucas gave a short, humorless laugh. "And what if she doesn’t? What if she understands it and still refuses to come back? Am I supposed to just stand here and wait?"
Alex gave him a helpless look. "Sir, I’m just an employee. Please don’t make me responsible for your love life..."
Lucas’s tone dropped, cool and commanding. "Figure out a way to bring her home."
Alex muttered under his breath, "Mr. Hilton, what you really need right now is to clear your name with Miss Riley. Without proof that you didn’t sleep with her, Miss Morgan’s never coming back."
Lucas’s gaze snapped to him. "What’s that supposed to mean?"
"Simple," Alex said dryly. "Miss Morgan has... a bit of a purity complex. And you, sir, well—let’s just say your reputation isn’t looking too clean right now."
Before Alex could blink, Lucas’s hand shot up like he might smack him on the shoulder—only to stop midair.
"I’ll keep digging for evidence that proves you’re innocent," Alex added quickly, backing away a step. "But right now, you have to head back to the office. The partnership with Morgan Group still isn’t settled, and the board’s waiting for you."
Lucas clenched his fists. As much as he wanted to stay, he knew Alex was right.
And that man—Damien—he still didn’t know who he was.
"I’m going back for the meeting," he said finally. "You, find out everything about that man—Damien. I want a full report on my desk the minute I’m done."
"Yes, sir."
...
Meanwhile, inside the villa—
Sophia sat in the living room and turned on the TV.
When Olivia’s face appeared on screen, she set down the remote, eyes narrowing with curiosity.
She couldn’t imagine how that woman managed to survive farm work—her hands were covered with tiny cuts and scratches.
But then, something caught her off guard.
On screen, Olivia suddenly slipped and tumbled down a flight of stairs.
The clip ended abruptly.
Sophia froze, her expression darkening. She grabbed her phone and began scrolling through her feed.
Sure enough, Olivia’s agency had just released a statement—she’d suffered an accident and was temporarily pulling out of the show.
The comment section was flooded with sympathy and concern.
Sophia’s fingers tapped rhythmically against her thigh.
Was this a PR stunt... or did she really get hurt?
She kept scrolling, eyes narrowing when she saw a looping GIF of Olivia clutching her face in pain.
That looked... real.
Her phone rang suddenly.
"Hello?"
"Sophia! You won’t believe who I just saw!"
It was Harper, her voice low and drowned out by the noise around her.
"Where are you? It sounds chaotic."
"I’m at the hospital! I ran away from my brother’s place, so I’ve been helping out here lately. After we split up this morning, I came straight to the hospital—and you’ll never guess who I ran into!"
The hospital. That meant someone who was hurt.
And judging from Harper’s tone, it had to be someone she knew.
Sophia’s eyes flicked back to the TV screen. "Olivia?"
There was a gasp from the other end. "Wait—how did you know?!"
A slow, knowing smile curved Sophia’s lips.
It seemed the world really did have a twisted sense of humor when it came to coincidences.
