Queen Mommy's Six Genius Babies Found the CEO Daddy-Chapter 97: Another Man!
The moment Sophia pulled back the curtains, the world lost its charm.
Her face, usually expressionless, immediately fell into frustration. Barefoot, she ran back to her bed, waking Harper. "Harper, it’s cloudy! It’s cloudy! No sun!"
Harper groggily opened her eyes, glanced outside at the weather, and let out a desperate exclamation. Why hadn’t she checked the weather forecast yesterday?
Sophia was even more frustrated because of the weather, unwilling to get out of bed.
She stayed in bed for a while, but Harper, unable to stand it any longer, got up and dragged her out.
"Get it together!" Harper said, pretending to be angry.
After Harper got Sophia ready, they both went downstairs. The six kids downstairs looked at them in surprise.
Sophia had done her makeup and was wearing a black velvet dress, with silver, diamond-studded high heels!
Harper sighed—doing makeup wasn’t easy, but thankfully the person in front of her was cooperating.
"Aunt Harper, did you do Mommy’s makeup?"
"Of course, what do you think? Pretty good, right?"
They all nodded in agreement. "Aunt Harper, why is Mommy wearing makeup?"
"Two-legged frogs are hard to find, but two-legged men are easy!" Harper laughed. "I’ve already set it up for her—she’s going on blind dates!"
Harper took out her phone and showed them, "Look, aren’t they all handsome? There’s even the older, more reliable type—thoughtful, family-oriented—how great!"
Sophia, hearing that, immediately sat down on the couch.
"Sophia, listen, it’s all for your own good. Since Lucas doesn’t know how to appreciate you, you need to forget about him!"
In the restaurant, a man was sitting upright, looking handsome. He was lowering his head, seemingly waiting for someone.
Sophia stepped back, but Harper dragged her forward. "Trust me, you’ll love it! If they weren’t interested in me, I swear I’d take them all!"
Sophia furrowed her brows and walked over.
"Damien."
The man turned around, his eyes briefly flashing with surprise.
Sophia froze. How could it be Damien?
She turned to leave, but his deep voice stopped her. "Miss Morgan, we meet again."
Sophia knew there was no escaping, so she steeled herself.
"Mr. Brown, how come it’s you?"
Harper brightened. "You two know each other?"
"We’ve met twice."
Damien called over the waiter and ordered several dishes, then quietly added, "I didn’t expect Miss Carter to introduce me to Miss Morgan."
"Please, no more ’Miss,’ it sounds too formal. You can call me Harper, and she’s Sophia. Just call her Sophia."
Harper motioned for them to talk, "I’ve brought her here. You two talk, I’ll just pretend I’m not here."
Seeing the table full of food, Harper couldn’t hold back anymore.
She started eating without hesitation. Sophia forced a smile, and the atmosphere at the table became oddly tense.
Damien chuckled softly. "Sophia, honestly, I didn’t expect much, but seeing it’s you, I’m a bit surprised. I’d like to have a chat."
"Huh?"
"I’ve been back from abroad for a while. I work for DS Company... as an employee, with a yearly salary of several million. It’s not much, but I’m willing to improve myself for you."
As he spoke, Damien’s gaze remained locked on her.
It seemed like he was serious.
"Damien, actually I didn’t want to..."
Sophia’s thigh was pinched, and she immediately corrected herself. "I think we should talk."
"Great! I know you have six kids, and you’re Luna, but... I want to know what happened between you and Mr. Lucas?"
Sophia and Lucas’ situation was practically common knowledge.
"As for me and him..."
"It’s just that she’s upset with me."
The sudden voice echoed at the entrance. Lucas, with a cold expression and beads of sweat dotting his forehead, walked in quickly. He placed one hand on her chair and the other on the table, gazing at the person in front of him with soft eyes.
"Sophia, darling, stop being upset. Come home with me."
Sophia froze. How did he end up here? 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
At the entrance, a few kids were sneaking glances.
"Angela, did we do the right thing or not?"
"Billy already checked, and Riley’s got issues. This man’s fine, but... the original is probably better."
Angela had sent the message to Lucas only ten minutes ago. It took at least twenty minutes to get from Hilton Group here, so he must’ve rushed over.
At least on that front, he did well—he really cares about Mom.
Everyone knew how Lucas used to be. After their investigation, they were worried about whether Mom would be taken advantage of, but now they were all reassured.
Damien didn’t seem afraid of Lucas; instead, he focused on Sophia. "Sophia, is what Mr. Hilton said true?"
Meaning, he only trusted what Sophia said.
Lucas’ expression grew urgent. "Sophia, will you come home with me?" God, how afraid he was.
Sophia took a deep breath, adjusting her emotions as she looked at the man before her, then slightly curled her lips. "Mr. Hilton, it seems like we no longer have any relationship."
"We were just in a contract marriage, and it’s time we separate now."
"You’re the CEO of Hilton Group, and I’m your rival. There’s nothing left to discuss between us."
Lucas frowned. "Sophia, I..."
"Mr. Hilton, you heard what Sophia said. Right now, I’m Sophia’s blind date. Please, don’t interrupt us."
Lucas gave Damien a sharp glance. "Who are you?"
"Damien Brown."
For a moment, Lucas couldn’t place him.
"Sophia is my wife. It’s well-known across the country, and I expect you to leave. What happened today was just an accident."
"Accident?"
Damien smiled knowingly. "Once there’s an accident, there will be a second, Mr. Hilton. At least, it’s better for you to leave now."
Sophia’s eyes grew colder at his words.
If there was one accident, there would definitely be more.
If Lucas had come back and explained himself, maybe she would’ve left, but at least it wouldn’t hurt this much.
But now, she was the one who had to discover the truth herself.
She wasn’t so desperate that she couldn’t see through the lies.
She stood up suddenly and looked at Damien. "Damien, I’m not hungry. Would you like to go for a walk?"
Damien immediately stood, stepping in front of her, arm slightly bent. "I’d be delighted."
Without hesitation, Sophia took his arm.
Just as they were about to leave, Lucas blocked their way. "Sophia, are you really leaving?"
"Mr. Hilton, you’re blocking our way."
Sophia slightly lifted her head, looking into his eyes with no trace of emotion.
The confusion was impossible to untangle.
Cutting through the chaos and stopping the damage was the important thing.
Seeing Lucas not move, Damien took a step around him, leading Sophia out.
Their figures slowly disappeared as Lucas stood there, stunned.
She... she actually dared to leave with another man!
Lucas’ eyes suddenly burned with fury!
