Queen Mommy's Six Genius Babies Found the CEO Daddy-Chapter 208: A Secret Alliance
Frank had barely settled into his chair when the office door was kicked open. Startled, he immediately looked up.
Nathan strolled in with his usual reckless swagger, dropped into a seat across from him, and said bluntly, "Give me another six million."
Frank’s eyes flew wide open. He stared at him in disbelief.
"What did you just say? How much? Six million? Are you insane? Nathan, you took several million just a week ago, and now you want more? What on earth are you trying to do?"
Nathan casually picked at his ear, clearly accustomed to hearing this kind of reaction.
"Relax. I know exactly what kind of person you are. I’m here for money, plain and simple. Besides, didn’t you just sign a deal with DS? You must be swimming in cash. Hurry up and give me some. I wrecked my car by accident, so I want a new one."
He spoke about replacing a car as casually as if he were asking for a meal.
Frank’s face darkened with frustration and disappointment.
"Not a chance. It’s only been a week. Even if you completely totaled your car, I wouldn’t give you another cent. I am not your ATM. I’m your father—and you are my son. Shouldn’t you be learning how to show some respect and responsibility instead? All you ever do is ask for money. I told you to come help at the company—you refused. When are you finally going to grow up? Nathan, do you even realize how old you are now? Are you planning to live off your parents for the rest of your life?"
Nathan rolled his eyes and replied indifferently, "You chose to have me, so you’re responsible for me. I don’t think I’m capable of making money right now, so it’s your job to support me. And it’s not like I never tried. I started businesses—every single one failed. I failed too many times. It broke my confidence. I don’t want to try anymore. What, do you think I don’t deserve to be your son? If that’s the case, then fine—cut ties with me. I guarantee I’ll never come bother you again."
Frank’s breathing grew heavier with rage.
He never imagined that his own son could toss around the words "cut ties" so casually—day after day, as if they meant nothing—yet strike him right where it hurt most, every single time.
"Nathan, remember this—I am your father, and I don’t owe you a damn thing. If you truly want to sever our relationship, then go ahead. But don’t forget—I don’t have only one son!"
Nathan shot up from his chair like an enraged rooster.
"What are you talking about, Frank?! Are you actually planning to let Ryan step into my place? When I was messing around out there, I never saw him come help you. Do you really think he cares about you? He only shares your blood—that’s all. Deep down, he probably hates you even more than I do!"
Frank’s fury finally exploded.
"No matter what, Ryan is better than you. He’s sensible. He helps carry my burdens. He even comes to the company to assist me and often comes up with excellent ideas. Those are things you will never be able to match!"
The pressure from the company, the humiliation in the meeting room, and now the blatant arrogance of his own biological son—all of it pushed him past his limit.
Nathan glared at him with bloodshot eyes.
"Dad, have you completely lost your mind? I’m your real son!" 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
"Nathan," Frank snapped coldly, "face reality—Ryan is also my son!"
No one could ever deny that shared blood.
Their eyes locked in midair, sparks flying between them.
After a long moment, Nathan was the first to break.
He let out a self-mocking laugh and asked quietly, "Dad... in your heart, am I really that much worse than him?"
"Think about it yourself. How many resources have I poured into you? Every major decision in the company, I always put you first. But how did you repay me? I handed you clients—and you drove one away just because you thought they were ugly and said it to their face. Later, you harassed a female secretary without restraint. Turns out, she was related to an important client, and that deal collapsed as well.
"And you talk about starting your own business? What happened to that? You invested several million—got scammed. Then you invested several million more—and because of your poor management, you burned through millions in just one month. Every bit of inventory was scrapped. You said you loved food, so I let you open a restaurant. What happened? Customers found dirt in the food, and you didn’t even take it seriously."
As Frank recounted everything from the past, he could feel his blood pressure rising.
Nathan frowned and shot back, "My business failures weren’t something I wanted! Who knew those people would be so nitpicky? I already handled the big picture. Everyone was hired help—if someone wanted to cause trouble, of course I wouldn’t tolerate it! Was I wrong for that?"
"You didn’t just use the wrong method—you used the wrong method every single time. And right now, I’m not even blaming you. But are you still planning to ask me for money? Every time you open your mouth, it’s for a car. What kind of car are you buying that costs that much? Think about it—you’re almost thirty and still not married. I can accept that. But if you keep living like this, do you know what will happen?
"When everyone in society starts looking down on you, you’ll realize the world doesn’t treat people kindly. Right now, you act this way only because you’re my son. You throw your weight around because you have some dirty money in your hands. You think you can do whatever you want. But what if one day... I am no longer your backing?"
Frank suddenly looked much more exhausted. He lifted a hand and patted Nathan on the shoulder.
"I don’t expect you to build some legendary career. But I hope that when I grow old, you will be able to take over the company—and at the very least, others will believe you are capable of holding that position. Otherwise, once the board unites and impeaches you, blocks you from the role, you’ll realize the world is far more terrifying than you ever imagined."
Nathan’s brows knitted together. His expression turned hostile, but he said nothing.
Frank softened slightly and said encouragingly, "Deep down, I actually believe in you. I believe you can do it. If you’re willing... help your father with one thing today."
After a long silence, Nathan finally asked, "What thing?"
"Do you know Ethan?"
Nathan nodded.
"I know him... more or less."
"Go find him today and tell him this—when he gets married, I’ll be sure to give him a very generous cash gift. And of course, some cooperation between us can continue as well."
Nathan was puzzled.
His father working with Ethan?
Why had he never heard of this?
