Kali took a step forward and smiled, "I'm glad you're okay."

Lucas nodded, "yeah... thanks..."

He then looked at the man who just got defeated by Lucas, and saw the man getting up, "what the hell is that thing?"

"That's my sword," The man replied.

"Your sword?!" Lucas exclaimed.

"Yeah," The man answered as he wiped the dust off his pants.

They took another couple of minutes' break, and Lucas came back to the training ground to defeat the third man. The fight didn't last long either; Lucas just had to hit him once in the face and he was done. He stepped back, panting heavily.

"I won!" Lucas announced.

Was the same with the next one, and the next one after that. Lucas defeated all of his opponents without even having to use his full strength. He was finally going to become stronger now.

"Hey," Master Luu called out to Lucas, "there's only one more to go."

"Yes sir," Lucas replied.

"Can I see your weapon?"

Lucas handed his sword over to his master.

Master Luu examined it carefully, "very impressive."

Lucas smiled and nodded, "thanks."

After examining the sword for a while, Luu turned around and looked at Lucas, "are you sure you want this?"

"Of course I am," Lucas answered.

"Good."

Master Luu gave Lucas his own sword, "now give me the one you have."

Lucas looked at his sword and then back at Luu, "why?"

"This sword has power because you made it," Luu explained.

"But I already have one," Lucas replied.

"Think about it," Luu said.

Lucas scratched his head, "what does that mean?"

"It means that you have to pay attention to this sword..." Luu said before he vanished from Lucas's sight.

Lucas looked around confused and then saw Kali standing there, "hey."

"Hello," Kali greeted back.

"Is something wrong?" Lucas asked.

Kali shook her head, "no, I was just thinking."

"About what?" Lucas asked.

Kali shrugged, "about everything."

"Well, I was just wondering why you were here," Lucas said as he knelt down.

"To watch you fight, of course," Kali said happily.

Lucas chuckled, "I thought you wanted to get in your revenge."

"I still do, but I'm fine just watching you."

"Really?" Lucas asked.

"You're so strong," Kali said, "and you're smart too."

"Thanks," Lucas said.

"You really surprised me, though."

"Why?" Lucas asked.

"Because..." She trailed off.

"What?" Lucas asked.

"I never expected you to be so nice," Kali admitted.

Lucas smiled, "well, I guess you haven't seen me in action yet."

"If you're asking if I'm scared... yes."

Lucas laughed, "then don't worry. I won't let anyone die."

"You're lying," Kali said.

"Maybe," Lucas replied.

Kali looked away, "I'm sorry... I shouldn't have doubted you."

"Don't apologize," Lucas said.

Kali smiled and pulled Lucas's arm, "let's go now, everyone else is waiting for you too."

"Ev-everyone...?" Lucas asked.

"Yes," Kali said as she led Lucas out of the arena.

"Okay, here we are," Kali said as they arrived at a large room filled with people. The corners of his lips were forcingly lifting up as he saw his teammates clapping for him, "you guys!" He whispered as he saw Haya, Xina, and Kalaini being back from their training too... 𝑓𝑟eℯ𝒘𝗲𝑏n𝑜𝚟𝙚𝒍.𝒄o𝐦

"But wait..." Lucas stopped, "where's Notru...?" He asked looking at Haya.

A silence fell upon the group as everyone looked at each other.

"I know where he is," Kali spoke up suddenly.

Everyone looked at her, "really?" Lucas asked.

"Yeah," Kali nodded, "he's safe and there's nothing to worry about now, so please, just enjoy the moment for now."

"Thank you, Kali," Lucas said as he looked at her.

Kali smiled, "anytime."

She walked towards the crowd and Lucas followed behind her.

"You do look stronger now!" Kalaini shouted as she hit Lucas's shoulder, forcing him to fall back a little bit.

"Get lost," Lucas said.

Kalaini giggled and punched Lucas again on his other shoulder.

"Stop it!" Lucas yelled out, "I can take it!"

He rubbed his shoulders and stood straight again, "thank you," he muttered quietly.

"So, how did you do it?" Kalaini asked.

"I just fought all those men," Lucas answered, "it wasn't hard."

"Ha! You're making it sound easy!" Xina added.

"I know right?! Do you think I'm just some weakling or something? I've been training this whole time!" Lucas retorted.

Xina just laughed, "so you say, but you still collapsed in the middle of the battle, remember?"

"And you didn't help me at all, did you?" Lucas asked.

"Sorry, I was busy fighting for my life!"

"Then why didn't you save me?" Lucas asked.

"I couldn't!" Xina replied.

"Why not?" Lucas asked.

"Because you would have fallen on me if I helped you," Xina said.

"But..." Lucas started to argue with her, but Kalaini interrupted him before he could continue.

"Let's change the subject, shall we?" She suggested.

"Sure," Lucas agreed.

"Well..." Kalaini said before she looked at the ceiling, "I have an idea, how about we start with some warm-up exercises?"

"No offence, but I'm really tired today..." Lucas said.

"Oh come on," Kalaini said, "we need to keep our strength up, so exercise a little bit, that will make us feel better."

Lucas sighed, "let's do it tomorrow."

Fighting five men really exhausted his mana and he felt having no energy, especially after the poison that Malice gave him yesterday. His muscles couldn't perform as they should have, and he kept feeling tired. That was why he decided to stop for a moment and rest, which Kali told him about.

"Fine," Lucas said, "but I'll do it first thing tomorrow morning."

"Deal!" Kali replied.

Lucas looked around, "where's Lya?"

"She left," Haya answered from beside them.

"Left?" Lucas asked.

Haya nodded, "she's heading to her home village, or so she said."

Lucas frowned and looked at Haya, "why didn't you tell me about this?"

"I'm sorry," Haya apologized, "it seemed like you don't mind."

Lucas shook his head, "no, I do."

"But you weren't there when it happened!" Haya argued.

Lucas sighed, "yes, I know. But I want to know more about it. And besides, you're my teammate; I want to know what's going on with you."

Haya smiled, "okay."

"Great!" Lucas exclaimed.

"We should get going now," Xina suddenly appeared.

"All right..." Lucas said.

The group began walking towards the exit, "hey, can I ask you something?"

"Sure," Kali answered.

"Do you think I'm really strong?" Lucas asked.

"Of course!" Kali replied.

"Really?" Lucas asked.

"Yeah, I mean, you defeated those five men in the arena!" Kali said proudly.

Lucas smiled, " then you saw it wrong," he muttered...
