103 Do Ghosts Really Exist?

As soon as they dropped Xu Luo off, the first thing that Qin Yichen did was swap out the driver while Rong Yue called Xu Ning.

“Ning Jie, I think you can call your uncle now, tell him that you would not be partaking in anything else, however, you have to let him understand that since you have the ability to take three children away, you can also reveal all that they were doing,” Rong Yue told her slowly.

Xu Ning was uncertain and only calmed down slightly after she saw the video of the kids playing together happily in a place that was different from home.

“W..why are you helping me?” She finally asked after a while.

Although she had gone to hide, even she wasn’t sure that she could hide there forever, after all, from her work to everything that she owned, it was closely related to her uncle.

Yet, she didn’t want to accompany him with his evil plans.

“Because I know you are just a spawn now, if I don’t help you, you will go down a path that you don’t like but yet, you will be helpless against.”

The confidence from Rong Yue’s words were contagious making Xu Ning clench her fists tightly. “Okay, I’ll do as you asked me to,”

“I’ll have some guards sent over to you, after all, I know your uncle would attempt to find you,” after they discussed some more, Rong Yue ended the call and sighed in relief.

Although they were just getting started, the first round of the battle had been successfully conquered. Also, there were high chances that they would win the second one, after all, Qin Yichen had sent people to protect Xu Ning.

Qin Yichen pulled Rong Yue closer to him with just one tug while he ordered the driver to go home straight.

“The Hong Foundation on the surface is just a foundation but recently, they have colluded with some people that even I am yet to find out, this way, the foundation is getting a lot of money and sacrificing a lot of children.” Qin Yichen had done his investigation and felt it was important he told her this.

“Your friend must know a bit about this, however, I doubt she knows anything about the other organization. If you truly want her uncle to be powerless against her, you need that organization to see them as useless and back out with their support.”

Rong Yue was quiet for a while as she allowed her mind to process what she had just heard. With all that Qin Yichen had just said, if she didn’t understand then she was truly not worthy to be the woman he was interested in.

Since she had told Xu Ning they were giving the uncle a chance to repent, Qin Yichen was warning her that the uncle couldn’t be given a chance at survival.

Some people would only turn around if they got to a dead end. As long as there was a path ahead, they would continue to charge forward.

Xu Che was exactly this kind of person.

“I’ll give him 30 hours and see if he steps out to clarify, after I’ll take action regardless of if he clarifies or not,” Rong Yue told him and Qin Yichen nodded with satisfaction while his hand that was pulling her close rubbed on her head dotingly.

Despite them not having any verbal agreement, Qin Yichen understood that in her heart, she had accepted him already, all that was left was for her to take the decision that was needed.

After all the exhaustion from the rescue and all the brain power that she used in dealing with the matter, Rong Yue was exhausted and slept off in Qin Yichen’s warm embrace.

Like this, the both of them formed the picture of a perfect couple.

On the other hand, Xu Che soon finished his discussion with those people behind the scenes. Because they were discreet and never wanted anyone to discover their footsteps, not only did they come in disguise and all covered up, they also spent a lot of time searching if there was anything implicating in the document and in the meeting place.

This way, what should have originally just taken two hours ended up taking six hours.

Yet, because of his interest, he never for once thought of how the barely eight year old son was going to handle sitting by himself for six hours. Also, it was the safer option, after all, they couldn’t meet his child since those people had an interest in gathering kids.

“Don’t forget that Xu Ning must keep working with you, one of our bosses is interested in her financial and management skills and so we would keep watching to see if she is someone we can work with,” one of the women there said and Xu Che bobbed his head to show he understood.

In reality, those people just wanted to see if Xu Ning was easy to control. If she was, that was good! If she wasn’t, they were at a stage too early to take on a troublesome team member....

By the time they left, the two security that had allowed Rong Yue to go with Xu Luo were already scared shitless.

They had sent one to check the situation in the toilet previously but found no one, however, they had also seen no one pass beside them. So how could the both of them have vanished into thin air.

Their only saving hope was Xu Che knowing that the woman had taken his son away.

“Where is my son?” Xu Che asked, the exhaustion between his brows was easy to see. However, since he had just gotten another big money in the bag, his mood was naturally good.

“His mother came to pick him up,” one of the security spoke up quickly. He had decided this was the best approach, after all, they couldn’t say that they weren’t watching properly.

Upon hearing that, the laidback aura around Xu Che disappeared immediately, his wife died while giving birth to Xu Luo, how could she possibly pick him up?

“His mother?”

“Yes, she sat here for a while and even showed us a picture of your whole family...” the security man went ahead to tell him everything he knew about the matter and even got a surveillance video to show him.

Although Xu Che found the matter odd, he assumed this was Xu Ning doing and requested to see the woman, after all, only her had a picture of him and the kids together with her in it.

Unfortunately, he was bound to be disappointed as he soon saw that the woman in the video was not Xu Ning!

In fact, she looked so much like his wife that he thought his eyes were deceiving him.

“Xu Ning, did you take Xu Luo away?”

Xu Ning sneered as she heard his words, after all, Rong Yue had told her that Xu Luo was now safe about five hours ago. For his father to just realize that he no longer knew the location of a son he had brought out, the timing was really ridiculous.

After all, she was not good at keeping up an act and the longer she stayed talking to him, the more he was very likely going to discover.

Xu Che also didn’t suspect anything and immediately demanded that they searched the whole Hua Center for the boy and the mysterious ‘wife’

Yet, four hours more and he still count find his son and the woman. There was also no surveillance camera to show that they had left there at all making people feel even more helpless.

“Mr Xu, perhaps you should go home and take care of the other kids, we would start a search for him now and also make sure that we find clues from the camera,” the leader of the police team told him as he placed a pat on his back.

There was very little Xu Che could help with. By letting him go, they could focus on their work more, besides he still had a family to go to right?

Xu Che reluctantly agreed and made his way home after collecting the police leader’s number.

However, the day’s surprise was not over yet as not only did he not find his son at home, the other two children were also nowhere to be found!

This was enough to make him infuriated as she immediately called Xu Ning, this time, he wasn’t even planning to be nice.

However, he soon realized that the call had been intercepted.

Xu Che gritted his teeth and then opened his mouth, intending to ask more questions.
