Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator-Chapter 520 - 393: Unova Champion?
Ash Ketchum and his group have a knack for trouble.
No matter where they go, events of all kinds seem to unfold.
Even though Baimu has been showing a trend in this direction recently, he’s still far behind Ash Ketchum and his group.
And although Alice has already left the team, the buff on her seems to have not dissipated, causing her to lose her Pokémon in a sandstorm and get trapped in the Phantom Tower.
Strangely enough.
She can actually keep in touch with the outside world!
"Magma Team’s infrastructure is terrifying!" Baimu muttered to himself in amazement.
From what he understands, most of the signal stations in the Hoenn Region were set up by the Magma Team. To avoid being gnawed or damaged by Wild Pokémon, they had to be disguised in all kinds of strange forms.
On the other end of the line, Alice said, "Until I find an exit, please take care of Emolga for me, will you?"
"No, let me find a way to come to you."
Baimu glanced at Alice’s location displayed on Porygon’s app on his phone, and it didn’t overlap with the area where the sandstorm was raging earlier.
If there’s a signal, there must be a location.
Even if Alice is currently in some Other Dimension, the connection point between that dimension and reality must be at the location specified.
"You find the exit first, I might be able to find an entrance from outside."
He said.
Hearing this, Alice agreed without asking much, though before hanging up, there seemed to be a deep growl, followed by some kind of high-pitched roar from her side.
Could it be that there are Wild Pokémon inside the animated Phantom Tower too?
Baimu was getting more and more intrigued.
If someone else were trapped in there, he might not dare to join in on such chaos, but Alice is meant to be the future Unova Champion. Unless he interferes in a way that would alter her future, it would likely be fine.
Besides, there’s the Lucky Scale!
He may not believe in other things, but he has no doubt about the effect of the Lucky Scale.
Provided there isn’t another sandstorm, Emolga has been separated from Alice for a while, and another sandstorm might come after the one stopped.
"Ready to set off."
He reminded the Emolga, who was lying on a cushion stroking its round belly, thanked Blissey, who’d been looking after it, and withdrew Blissey into a Pokeball.
"Aimo!"
As usual, the Emolga wanted to go back to its Pokeball to slack off after eating, but after waiting a long time with no response, it realized its Pokeball was still with its Trainer and looked pitifully at Baimu.
"I know you can’t walk."
He picked it up and placed it in the shade outside, starting to silently pack up the tent.
The Aggron relaxing in the shade turned and looked at the Emolga sitting beside it without saying a word, yet still managed to make the latter sweat nervously, clearly intimidated by its massive size and fierce appearance.
But Emolga soon realized that the Aggron wasn’t as temperamental as some Overweight Pokémon it knew; despite its fierce appearance, it was quiet and steady, not even bothering to roar.
Gaining courage, it tried to approach it—
No response.
It moved a little closer still—
Still no response.
Daring greatly, Emolga began to climb onto the Aggron, but had only just gotten a bit up when it was met by a pair of light blue eyes looking its way, causing it to avert its gaze guiltily.
To its surprise, even at this point, the Aggron didn’t attack or scare it, so the relieved Emolga climbed onto Aggron’s shoulder.
Exactly.
This was the spot it went through so much trouble for!
If you’re going to slack off, you might as well find a good place to do it.
"Aimo!" The Emolga lay sideways in satisfaction, the Aggron’s wide shoulders allowing it to get into all sorts of positions.
And when Baimu finished packing the tent and turned, his first sight was of the little guy snoozing away.
"Eating and then sleeping... this guy might actually have a lot to talk about with Corsola."
He exchanged a glance with the Aggron, both thinking of the slacker in their team that this guy was no match for compared to.
But the Emolga probably wouldn’t be sleeping for long.
Because—
"Aimo? Aimo!"
Feeling its behind getting roasted, the Emolga suddenly jumped up; the sun’s heat had caused Aggron’s exterior to heat up rapidly, and its flesh and blood couldn’t compare to steel structure.
"Hahahaha."
Baimu laughed as he caught it and tucked it into his UV-blocking cloak, "Stay inside obediently."
"Aimo..."
In a reluctant, awkward position, the Emolga was a bit sulky, but had no choice due to the current lack of options.
Not long after.
Baimu, following Porygon’s positioning, wandered along and stopped on a high slope, overlooking the expansive yellow sand below—nothing in sight. Indeed, the Phantom Tower deserves its name since it simply doesn’t show up at all.
What are the conditions for the Phantom Tower to appear in the game?
Seemingly none; in the Emerald version, entering the desert makes it appear automatically, while leaving the desert makes it vanish automatically. Go to the top floor to get the fossil, and it disappears completely.
The Phantom Tower didn’t appear at all in the animation.
Could it be that it only appears during a sandstorm? If that’s the case, then it would be simple.
Baimu slowly approached the position but stopped just short, lifting his hand to gesture, and the Aggron, catching on, slammed a paw on the sand.
BOOM!
After several loud bangs, deep blue stone pillars shot up out of the ground, spreading forward to the designated location where they then shattered dramatically. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
Unfortunately, there was still no change in the surroundings.
The Aggron spewed flames in that direction again, confirming there was indeed no issue before allowing Baimu to proceed forward.
