Pokemon: A New Path-Pokemon: Home- I[603]
There were actually two weddings held, one for humans and one just for Pokémon.
The human wedding took place by the sparkling shores of Kosaji Town, while the Pokémon-only wedding was held atop the great World Tree.
Calyex, Mewtwo, and Giratina had all expressed a desire to attend Naoki's wedding, but Naoki was worried their appearance would cause too much of a stir and risk exposing his true identity.
So he decided to hold a second, special wedding on the World Tree, a celebration attended only by Pokémon.
This way, no one would be left out.
The human wedding continued until around three in the afternoon. Afterward, Naoki and Nemona enjoyed an exhilarating Pokémon battle on the beach, drawing cheers from the remaining guests.
As the battle ended, guests from all over the world began preparing to leave.
Since Kosaji Town didn't have an airport, Naoki had arranged for his hardworking Dragonite team to serve as transportation.
"Wow, thank you for lending you're Dragonite for a ride!"
Professor Oak said, patting the Dragonite's warm scales and greeting it with a bright smile.
"Thank you, Dragonite."
Dragonite chirped happily. "Awoo~"
Professor Oak climbed onto its back and waved enthusiastically.
"Goodbye, Naoki! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness!"
"Goodbye, Professor Oak!" Naoki waved back warmly.
Following Professor Oak, guests like Cynthia, Steven Stone, and Alder also departed one after another, each one riding a Dragonite into the sky.
When it was Nemona's turn, she fixed her gaze on one of Naoki's Dragonite, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Miss, your car is ready," her butler called politely, holding the door open.
But Nemona grinned and said, "Mr. Naoki, I want to ride a Dragonite too!" ƒгeewebnovёl.com
Naoki laughed. "Of course. Right this way."
He called another Dragonite over, and Nemona practically bounced onto its back.
"Awesome!" Nemona cried. She waved goodbye to her butler. "Mr. Ramos, I'll head home first! Dragonite, let's fly!"
With a flap of strong wings, the Dragonite carried her off into the sky.
Dr. Sada approached next, with Arven following closely behind.
As Naoki arranged a Dragonite for them, Arven suddenly gathered his courage and asked,
"Mr. Naoki, could I... maybe get a copy of the wedding video later?"
Naoki blinked in surprise, but quickly smiled as he caught the look of hopeful shyness in Arven's eyes.
"Of course," Naoki said warmly. "I'll send it to you through the PokéDelivery app later."
"Thank you!" Arven said quickly.
Dr. Sada chuckled and waved. "See you next time, Naoki. Congratulations again!"
"Thank you very much," Naoki said, bowing slightly in gratitude as he watched them take off.
Not far away, Geeta and Rika were standing together, smiles bright on their faces.
"Ah, it's so heartwarming!" Geeta said, clasping her hands together with sparkling eyes.
Rika stayed silent, but the corner of her mouth lifted slightly. It was clear she agreed.
Leon and Sonia had originally planned to ask Naoki about Eternatus and the Sword and Shield legends, but seeing how special today was, they exchanged a look and quietly decided to leave it for another time.
Soon, the townsfolk and Iono's relatives also departed, heading home with full hearts and smiles.
By the end, only Naoki, Iono, and her parents remained on the quiet beach.
Her parents' eyes were slightly red, they had clearly cried earlier.
Seeing them like this, Iono's nose turned sour, and she couldn't hold it back anymore. She ran straight into their arms, tears finally spilling over.
"Mom, Dad... no matter what, I'll always be your daughter," she said, voice trembling. "We'll come visit you in Levincia whenever we can."
Her mother gently patted her back, her expression soft and full of love.
"As long as you're happy, that's all we wish for," she said tenderly. "Now you need to settle down properly, stop running around like a Torchic on fire all the time."
Iono sniffed. "I... I don't run around that much!"
"And those livestreams of yours," her mother added, half scolding, half laughing. "Your life isn't a show for others to watch. Remember to live for yourself, alright?"
"I know, I know!" Iono said quickly, hugging them even tighter. "Don't worry, your daughter's really grown up now!"
Seeing this, Iono 's parents nodded warmly, then turned their gazes toward their son-in-law.
The man let out a soft breath and said gently, "If you ever have free time, come visit us in Levincia. From today onward, we are all family. If you ever need help with anything, you can always come to us."
Hearing these heartfelt words, Naoki felt a surge of warmth in his chest.
He nodded earnestly. "I will."
The couple smiled, then glanced at the time.
"We won't keep you any longer. It's getting late. After such a busy day, you both must be exhausted. Go back to the ranch and get some rest."
"Okay," Naoki replied, grateful.
He summoned two Dragonite to escort his in-laws back to Levincia.
Soon, the silhouettes of the departing Dragonite vanished into the distant sky, carrying his new family safely home.
Naoki and Iono stood on the beach, quietly watching until the Dragonite were no longer in sight. Then, Naoki turned to her with a soft smile.
"Let's go home too."
"Okay," Iono replied, her heart a complex blend of lingering emotion and bright hope for the future.
...
By the time the two returned to the ranch, the clock had already ticked past four in the afternoon.
The living room was packed with wedding gifts, towering in piles, presents from Professor Oak, Cynthia, Steven Stone, Alder, and many others.
Before Naoki could even begin opening the gifts, however, he received a call on Mewtwo's Rotom Phone.
The Pokémon at the World Tree had contacted him.
They wanted to host their own celebration for Naoki and Iono, a wedding attended by Pokémon alone.
Naoki laughed helplessly when he heard their eager invitation.
"I know, I know. Let's pack up and head over!"
That evening, at 7 o'clock sharp, the Pokémon-only wedding was held atop the World Tree.
The gathering was spectacular.
Calyrex, Mewtwo, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Ho-Oh, Giratina, Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos, Jirachi, and many other legendary and mythical Pokémon arrived one after another.
The plaza surrounding the massive time-space gate had been beautifully decorated and was overflowing with all sorts of delicious foods.
Naoki had personally brought these treats from the human world, rich stews, freshly baked bread, rare berries, roasted meats, and colorful sweets for every taste.
Compared to the formal human wedding earlier that day, this celebration was simple, relaxed, and full of pure joy.
Naoki and Iono didn't have to stand and greet every guest.
Instead, they sat around a large bonfire together with the Pokémon, as if attending a grand festival under the open sky.
The World Tree's soft, shimmering light rained down through the towering branches above, making the entire plaza glow like a dream.
As the evening carried on, many Pokémon approached Naoki and Iono, each bringing with them a gift they had carefully prepared.
Some Pokémon offered rare berries polished to a brilliant shine.
Others presented beautiful stones, lovingly collected from the deepest parts of mystery dungeons.
There were even ancient crowns from forgotten civilizations, glistening relics that radiated history and wonder.
And still others gifted enormous golden Nuggets, treasures they had discovered while exploring different worlds.
Seeing the mountain of gifts piling up around them, Iono's eyes sparkled with wonder.
"Wow! Are all these gifts for us?"
Naoki chuckled softly, his heart full.
"Yes, they are. Everyone prepared these to bless our marriage."
Just then, a soft glimmer caught their eyes.
Floating down from the night sky, Jirachi appeared, carrying something precious in its tiny hands.
It extended its palms, revealing a star-shaped fragment that shimmered with breathtaking light.
Jirachi beamed with pride and said cheerfully, "I picked this up while chasing a falling star! I want you to have it!"
Iono gently took the sparkling fragment from Jirachi's tiny hands, her eyes full of wonder.
"It's so beautiful… Thank you, Jirachi."
Naoki nodded warmly and added, "Thank you. We really love your gift."
Hearing this, Jirachi spun joyfully through the air, its voice chiming with happiness.
"As long as Naoki likes it, Jirachi is super happy!"
