Pokemon: A New Path-Chapter 491: Alola
Compared to other regions, Alola is truly unique.
Unlike most regions, Alola does not have a Pokémon League yet, but instead, it is protected by four Guardian Deities—the Legendary Pokémon known as the Tapu.
Each of Alola's four main islands has its own guardian. On Akala Island, the island's protector is Tapu Lele.
If Naoki remembered correctly, Kiawe also lived on Akala Island.
Among all the Alolan islands, Akala Island seemed like the perfect place to establish a ranch.
The volcanic ash from Wela Volcano had enriched the soil over time, making the land exceptionally fertile—ideal for raising Pokémon and growing crops.
With that in mind, Naoki made up his mind.
He spoke to the real estate agent on the phone:
"Can I see the property in person?"
"Of course! Are you currently in the Alola region? If so, I can pick you up, and we can head to Akala Island together for an inspection."
Naoki was about to say no, but then he remembered something—if he traveled through Giratina's Reverse World, he could reach Alola in just a couple of hours.
Since it was currently snowing heavily in Paldea, and there wasn't much else to do, this was the perfect time for a quick trip.
"I have some things to take care of first, but I'll be there in about two hours," Naoki said.
"No problem! I'll wait for you."
After ending the call, the two exchanged contact information, and the agent quickly shared the location.
Naoki opened the link, checked the coordinates, and then went to explain his trip to sister Indeedee.
"I'm heading out for a bit. I'll be back soon. And you, little guy," he said, reaching down to pat Greavard's head, "make sure you eat while I'm gone."
"Woof!"
Greavard barked happily, wagging its tail excitedly. It trotted beside Naoki, escorting him to the door, then stood in the snow, watching him leave.
Even after Naoki's figure had long disappeared into the distance, Greavard was still wagging its tail, eyes fixed on the horizon.
Nearby, Pawmot and Cyclizar also stared in the same direction.
Suddenly, a gust of cold wind howled through the air, carrying a flurry of snowflakes with it.
Cyclizar shivered at the sudden chill.
Indeedee gently stepped forward and spoke softly, "Ai Ai." (Come inside, everyone.)
One by one, the Pokémon returned inside.
But with Naoki gone, Cyclizar quickly grew bored.
The Eevee siblings had gone off to play on the World Tree, while Alcremie had gone to visit Garganacl in the Salt Shelter underground.
That left Indeedee, Greavard, Pawmot, Cyclizar, Flutter Mane, Dragonite, and Dratini at home.
As they sat there, unsure of what to do, Pawmot suddenly had an idea.
Its eyes lit up, and it turned to the others excitedly.
"Pawmot!" (Let's play hide-and-seek!)

At the same time, Naoki and Koraidon were soaring through the Distortion World, their journey cutting through the surreal, ever-shifting landscape.
After nearly two hours of flying, they finally emerged in the Alola region.
Standing on the bustling streets of the city on Melemele Island, Naoki took a deep breath, taking in the sights around him.
The streets were alive with people and Pokémon from various regions, the energy of the city buzzing with excitement.
As one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Pokémon world, Melemele Island was even livelier during the holiday season.
For Naoki, however, the overwhelming crowds were a bit too much.
Not wanting to get swept away in the hustle and bustle, he quickly guided Koraidon toward the quieter side of the street and pulled out his Rotom Phone for navigation.
Fortunately, the real estate office wasn't far.
After crossing several streets, Naoki arrived at the Redfin Real Estate Company.
Upon entering the office and explaining his visit, a man in a professional suit soon approached him.
"Excuse me, are you Mr. Naoki?"
"That's me." Naoki gave a small nod.
"Welcome to Alola. Please wait a moment—I'll be taking you to Akala Island to inspect the ranch."
The agent quickly delegated some last-minute tasks to his colleagues before returning to Naoki with a polite smile.
"Alright, shall we go? By the way, how would you prefer to travel to Akala Island? You can take a yacht and enjoy the beautiful tropical ocean scenery, or we can fly there directly using Pokémon."
Naoki thought for a moment before deciding, "Let's fly over. My Pokémon can handle it just fine."
The agent glanced at Koraidon beside Naoki and raised an eyebrow in surprise.
"That's an incredible Pokémon! In that case, let's take to the skies!"
With that, the agent reached for a Poké Ball and tossed it into the air.
In a flash of white light, a Charizard appeared, flapping its powerful wings.
The agent mounted Charizard while Naoki hopped onto Koraidon, and together, they set off toward Akala Island.
As they gained altitude, the landscape beneath them shrank away, and the towering skyline of the city faded into the distance.
Below, the endless blue ocean stretched out, glimmering under the midday sun.
Above, the sky was a brilliant azure, with Wingull soaring through the air, their cries echoing as they glided effortlessly on the wind.
A gentle sea breeze brushed against Naoki's face.
The warm, tropical climate of Alola was a stark contrast to the snow-covered landscapes of Paldea.
Naoki couldn't help but relax—Alola truly was paradise.
As they flew, the agent struck up a conversation.
"You're not from Alola, are you?" he asked casually.
"No, I'm from Paldea," Naoki replied.
"Ah, that makes sense. I've heard that agricultural products from Paldea are very popular here! Every month, a special cargo ship arrives in Alola, bringing in fresh produce from Paldea."
The agent smiled as he spoke, clearly a fan of Paldean goods.
"Maybe it's because many farmers in Paldea believe in the King of Bountiful Harvests, Calyrex"
The high priest of the King of Bountiful Harvests cult began his sermon once again.
As expected, the man flying alongside him was intrigued by the topic.
"Calyrex? You mean the legendary Pokémon that can use the internet?"
"That's right! It's incredible that a Pokémon in this world is capable of operating human technology."
Naoki feigned the expression of a curious traveler, maintaining a perfectly straight face.
The man chuckled. "Pokémon are smarter than people give them credit for. My Charizard even watches movies with me."
As if responding to the compliment, Charizard let out a small roar and breathed out a flickering flame.
Both Pokémon flew swiftly, cutting through the sky.
Before long, a lush green island emerged on the horizon, standing against the vast blue sea.
A towering volcano dominated the landscape, its base surrounded by thick jungles and rolling fields of greenery.
The real estate agent gestured ahead. "We're here! This is Akala Island! If I remember correctly, the ranch is located near Paniola Town."
As they neared their destination, Charizard began its descent.
Naoki and Koraidon followed closely behind.
They passed over a sprawling countryside, flying low above golden fields and meandering rivers, before a quaint Western-style town appeared in view.
The roads were nothing but dusty dirt paths, and the architecture exuded a distinct cowboy aesthetic.
For a moment, Naoki felt like he had stepped into an old Western film.
He half-expected a cowboy to gallop down the street on a Mudsdale, ready to challenge someone to a high noon duel.
Fortunately, his imagination did not become reality.
The two continued forward, soaring past the town and into the expansive farmlands beyond.
The landscape opened up, stretching far and wide under the afternoon sun.
As far as the eye could see, lush grasslands spread across the plains, kissed by the gentle breeze.
A sparkling river wound its way through the fields, glimmering under the daylight.
And there, nestled in the heart of the open countryside, stood a fenced-off ranch.
The real estate agent pointed downward.
