A few moments before Kisuke transformed himself, Restoras was having a hard time believing that he was actually struggling against three 'mortals' that he disregarded before.

'What's happening!? What are they!?' Restoras had started questioning his own reality.

It's very clear that they are not on his level; however, this is the first time he had come across people who can effectively utilize Spiritual Power but are vastly different from how the Etouldes do it.

What's more, he realized that he'd already made a big mistake by underestimating them. Because he decided to take over the operation in DxD from Chimune, he had gleaned through the information that they had gathered and according to their intelligence network, one of his opponents right now, Aika Kiryuu, was just a normal human from the start, unaware of the mysteries of her world.

But now, she's standing in front of him with a weapon capable of hurting him.

The Devil, on the other hand, is a strange case too, as her Demonic Power and Spiritual Power seem to have melded and synchronized together to give birth to a nonsensical black water that's able to flow to wherever its master wants to the point that it can invalidate his Probability Manipulation.

In the first place, Demonic Power is a subset of Magic, and any mixing between Magic Power and Spiritual Power would cause a violent reaction. There had been instances in Etouldes' history of combining the two powers to get a head start against the Evies, but none of them succeeded, and those who wanted to force it only met gruesome deaths.

Restoras understood that these two women were probably special cases, but the fact that they exist means that it's possible for more individuals like them to appear, and they could be a huge threat to the Etouldes as a whole.

But compared to these two, he was more concerned about the man who he had no idea about.

No matter how he tried recalling it, there was no information about this man at all, and he just wasn't on the same level or more as the two women but his existence confused him incredibly.

As a forefront practitioner of Spiritual Power, even if he couldn't fully understand how and why they were using Spiritual Power in a certain way, he still could differentiate the attributes of their souls.

While Aika has something that purifies, Sona has something that rejects that purification and is malevolent in nature. They are the complete opposite and also complement each other.

So when Restoras sensed something from the unknown man, he wasn't that surprised until he realized that something else was mixed in. Another attribute that's wholly incompatible with the previous two. An attribute whose main purpose was the destruction of the two others.

He couldn't understand why these three could not just exist within this man's body but that he could also use all of them effectively.

If he could have met this man in a different manner, Restoras would have offered him a seat beside him just solely because of the nature of his existence which might help the Etouldes evolve onto the next level. Unknown to him, this was already happening and was set in motion when a certain sibling picked up a certain lost shopkeeper pretending to be a tiny human.

Restoras already had an inclination to eliminate the Spiritual Power users from Kisuke's group, but after meeting them and having them baring their fangs at him, he made a vow that he would issue an elimination order for them of higher priority than even most Evies once he gathered more information about them.

Unfortunately for him, Aika, Sona, and Ichigo didn't have the same opinion.

The moment Sona got a hint that Restoras was about to escape, she immediately raised her voice, "Now!"

In an instant, more black water around Sona manifested, enclosing and trapping everyone within it.

Sona was aware that Restoras' most dangerous abilities, [Reality Warping] and [Probability Manipulation], were only effective in his immediate vicinity thanks to Chimune's intel.

It was not wise to trust her words even though it appears that she's helping them out, but they don't have much time and choice in the matter.

The Holy Mother also reminded them that when cornered, Restoras could extend and strengthen the effects of his abilities at a price, so they had to weaken him sufficiently enough before he could turn the tables on them.

The moment Sona's [Cage] manifested and began contracting, Aika also released her limiter and went to use [Outrage].

The sudden change caught Restoras off guard. He wanted to get away and exit the sphere he's trapped in, but his current [Probability Manipulation] won't work if there's little to no chance of what he wanted to do happening in the first place. He could push himself and do miracles, but he hesitated because of the price he had to pay. He decided to use [Reality Warping], but it'd take a few seconds for him to break through Sona's trap.

However, Restoras immediately had a change of mind when Aika used [Outrage]. Within this instant, Restoras felt that she's now standing on the same level as him, "Huh!?"

As it became clear to him that she was not just another 'mortal', Restoras was quick to decide to fully pull out of there and released a massive wave of radiating Spiritual Power that began to change the surroundings.

Alas, he was already a split second too late.

With a face like an angry Buddha, Aika gritted her teeth as she endured the raging power within her and slashed down at the warping environment and at Restoras himself.

Restoras' expression changed, and he also gritted his teeth while raising his radiant golden sword.

Aika only smirked upon seeing that. In their short number of clashes, Aika already realized that although he's cosplaying as one, Restoras was not a fighter, so it became apparent that even until this point, he's underestimating her. With a single downward slash, Aika's Zanpakuto went through both Restoras' [Reality Warping] and radiant sword before reaching the man's right shoulder.

"Huh?" Another dumbfounded voice came from Restoras' mouth as he felt Aika's greatsword entering his shoulder without any resistance and leaving his left flank.

For the first time in a very long while, Restoras felt the threat of death, and fear took hold of his mind.

The influence of his [Reality Warping] and [Probability Manipulation] further strengthened even though his body was divided into two. But just like earlier, he was already a split second too late as Ichigo came from behind Aika, now in his base form and his Zanpakuto transforming into its initial form too.

With a single horizontal slash, Ichigo detached Restoras' head from his body. This time, Restoras couldn't even mutter a voice of disbelief as the power he started gathering immediately dispersed.

If Aika's blade went through his physical manifestation, Ichigo's blade directly cut Restoras' soul, the source of his power.

Restoras couldn't understand why this was happening to him, and he was already losing hope until he heard a familiar voice, "That's enough."
