Player Awakening: I Become A Lord In Game-Like World-Chapter 48: Liliana Town Hall
Caleb and William left the city on horseback to the east. They didn’t just ride together to accompany Liliana, but with five fully-recovered Heavy Scout units.
Liliana mounted Caleb’s horse, being carried by the man. They left after the black clouds from the Monster Chaos Event ended, a sign that the monster hordes were no longer being aggressive.
"I’m glad this event has ended. I was happy and relieved when I realized that I wasn’t the target of this event," Liliana explained, speaking to Caleb.
"Most of all, I’m glad to see that you managed to deal with this event, Caleb." Liliana said.
Caleb chuckled. To some players, his accomplishment might seem extraordinary. Not to Caleb himself, however.
To him, this was just a normal thing he did when he started the Season King Lord of Empires tournament.
He always did the same formula, focusing the scout ability at the beginning to explore the treasure caves. That way, he could get items that people weren’t getting and put him one step ahead.
While people focused on resources, Caleb would focus on troops in the early game, at least until he reached level 6-7 town hall.
By then, the university building had been constructed as well as the castle. With the castle, the town’s defense became stronger and more effective.
"This is a common thing. If you had participated in the Season King tournament, you would have realized that what I’m doing is normal for the participants," Caleb replied.
"No, it isn’t. To me, you’re already amazing, Caleb," Liliana said.
Caleb smiled and thanked Liliana for the unnecessary compliment. She asked him about her current duties, given that she had joined the alliance and was building a stronger unit of troops.
"You focus on gathering resources, and donate some of your resources to the alliance. That will help me and Jennie a lot," Caleb replied.
"Is Jennie also a model type invader player?" asked Liliana.
"I told her so. So, you don’t have to worry if someone attacks you. Two players with the invader model will protect you."
Liliana cleared her throat in agreement. If that was the role Caleb had assigned her, she couldn’t argue.
She was indeed good at managing resources, let alone calculating the income and expenses of each resource sector.
"What are the uses of resources in the alliance?" Liliana asked.
"Many things, such as building the alliance’s resource sectors, building the alliance flag, and helping any members who lack resources," Caleb replied.
"However, for the time being, I want to build the alliance flag first, to expand our alliance territory so that the enemy alliance cannot move," said Caleb.
"Will there be other players who establish alliances other than Kings of Round Castle?" asked Liliana, Caleb shrugged his shoulders, not knowing for sure.
That was based on the number of players left on the Izoya continent who had not joined any alliance.
There were players Rain_Forest and CL_Ellise who hadn’t built any alliances yet, and it was unlikely that they would —the two cities were far apart.
Even if it happens, their alliance will not be as strong as Caleb’s alliance. Apart from the fact that Caleb’s alliance had three members, Caleb, who was a player with the most powerful kingdom on the Izoya continent, also acted as the alliance leader.
"I don’t know, but maybe I’ll persuade Rain_Forest to join. If he does, then we only have one enemy left, CL_Ellise."
Liliana nodded. She was thankful that at the beginning of the game, she was not persuaded by the offer from the fake CL_Ellise.
If she had done so, the girl was worried that Caleb would have killed her for befriending the fake.
"Liliana’s city is already visible on the horizon, sir," William explained.
"That’s good. Let’s make a move," Caleb ordered, William nodded.
Unlike Caleb’s city, Liliana’s city looked more deserted with a few buildings already built.
For the military, she had only built Infantry Camp and Archery Camp. Buildings such as the Blacksmith and Cavalry Camp had not yet been fully built.
Not only that, the city appears to have only two gates, in the south and west. The gate in the west was deliberately built to ease Liliana’s journey to Sovereign_Night city.
The gate opened slowly, Caleb’s group arrived at the city center and saw militia units on standby at the infantry camp checkpoint, as well as several First Bowman units at the archery camp.
Liliana dismounted with Caleb’s help. The two of them walked over to the area near the infantry camp, looking at Liliana’s militia units.
"You haven’t built a cavalry camp yet?" asked Caleb, Liliana shook her head.
"I’m focusing on learning the technology first. I’m using my resources for that," Liliana replied.
The girl pressed the infantry camp and town hall icons, then showed the progress of the technology being researched.
Caleb saw that Liliana was focused on unlocking the First Swordsman unit and the Wall and Arrow technology.
"Once this technology is completed, I will focus on increasing worker capacity to hourly production efficiency," Liliana explained.
Caleb nodded. Increasing the capacity of workers and the efficiency of resource production per hour would increase the amount of resources Liliana produced, allowing her to obtain far more resources than before.
"I’ve researched both technologies, First Bowman and Wall and Arrow. I’ll send you the blueprints," Caleb replied.
"Wait! You don’t have to do that. I can research it by myself. I’ll be okay."
"Don’t be like that. We’re alliance friends, it’s only right that alliance friends help each other," Caleb said.
Liliana was silent. Again, she had to be helped by Caleb many times for the progress of her city. Liliana was happy when Caleb kept helping her, but it made her overthink.
The girl would keep wondering why Caleb wanted to help her so much, even to the point of giving up her second town hall to be invaded and handing over the technological blueprints to him.
’What exactly do you want me to become, Caleb?’ Liliana asked.
She continued to stare at Caleb’s face with a blush on her face. For some reason, her feelings and heart were at ease as she continued to be with Caleb, even though she realized that she was no match for the original CL_Ellise Caleb.
"Thank you, Caleb," Liliana whispered.
"No problem. I hope these blueprints can help you," Caleb replied, focusing on exporting the files of the two technologies.

Caleb confirmed it, instantly the two technologies were successfully received by Liliana and the girl immediately used them. Automatically, the duration of the research was significantly reduced.
"Let me know if you need anything," Caleb said, smiling, "I’ll be happy to help you."
