Player Awakening: I Become A Lord In Game-Like World-Chapter 44: Preparing for the Monster Chaos Event

[Idle Villagers: 54] [+10]
That morning, it was nine in the morning. As usual, the resources info panel appeared again with the news that the amount of resources had increased significantly. It was because the number of workers and hourly production had increased.
Last night, Caleb slept late at around 11pm because he had to complete four military technologies from the blacksmith. Thankfully, Caleb had completed all of them with the addition of status attributes in each unit.
All buildings had been built —except morale. Each technology had been researched to provide a considerable addition, whether in defense, troop strength, or economy.
That increased the kingdom’s power points in Sovereign_Night’s town hall, from 23,975 to 25,175 —an additional 1,200 points from researching 4 military technologies.
Caleb looked over. He saw that the renovation of the town hall was still ongoing, leaving 24 hours left or finished tomorrow.
Everything was going peacefully, Caleb was truly ruling this place even though it was only temporary.
[ANNOUNCEMENT!]
[The Monster Chaos Event will begin]
[Preparation time:]
[00:05:59:59]
The system panel in the form of an announcement appeared suddenly, saying monster chaos event. What Caleb was afraid of happened, but he was a little relieved as he had built a stone wall that could at least reduce the monsters’ resistance.
A brief explanation of the event, the system will randomly select players to be the target of the monster chaos event.
As Caleb remembers, this event only lasts for a few hours depending on the system, because the game here turns out to be different from the game on PC.
When Caleb played this game on PC, the chaos event occurred every month and happened to one player. The duration was only 3-5 hours of battle.
If the player can survive with himself alive during the battle, the player will get a reward in the form of three mid and high level chests.
The level range of the monster hordes that attack varies, ranging from level 1 to level 5 depending on the level of the player’s town hall. It made the battle balanced.
Caleb was still looking at the panel, curious about who was the unlucky player who would be the victim of the first monster chaos event.
There were 5 people currently on the Izoya continent, there was a good chance that the event would hit one of Caleb’s friends.
He wasn’t too worried about Jennie, because she was quite experienced. From the vision fog map, Caleb saw that Jennie had finished building the stone wall, the number of troops she had was quite large, around 32 troop units.
Caleb glanced to the side, to the east. Even though Liliana had built a stone wall, she still hadn’t created an archer unit. In this situation, the Archer unit would be a great advantage to repel monster attacks.
The man stepped from the city center to the Alliance Center. He entered the building and arrived at the meeting hall, a rectangular table with 10 chairs —the membership limit for level 1 of the Alliance Center.
[Alliance Meeting Room]
[Alliance Members:]
[1. Liliana_P]
[Invite selected members to the meeting?]
[Yes] [No]
Caleb confirmed the invitation to the current alliance member, Liliana. It will make Liliana’s figure appear in the meeting room using the alliance member teleportation function.
[Invitation sent]
Not long after, Liliana received the invitation. In a particle of blue light, Liliana’s figure appeared in the place and saw Caleb already sitting in one of the chairs, as the leader of the alliance.
"What happened?" asked Liliana.
"Did you receive the announcement?" asked Caleb, coldly.
"I saw it. Is it a monster chaos event?" asked Liliana.
"You don’t know what it is?"
Liliana responded by shaking her head. As she remembered, Liliana had never encountered that notification while playing this game on PC.
It was possible that Liliana didn’t know because the event only occurred during the Season King tournament.
"So, you’ve never participated in a Season King tournament before in a PC game?" Caleb asked, Liliana again responding similarly.
The man began to explain what the Monster Chaos Event was and its effects. He also explained the details of the rules such as the time and period to Liliana. Luckily for Caleb, the girl was quick to respond.
"Really? What if we fail to withstand the monster horde’s attack?" asked Liliana.
"You will die."
"Those monsters aren’t just after town halls or resources, but players’ lives. If your town is destroyed and you survive, you’ll stay alive as long as you don’t get killed within the 5-hour duration," Caleb explained.
"Then can I...."
"No! That’s not possible," said Liliana, correcting her words.
"What?" asked Caleb, curious.
"If I hide in your town hall, they’ll attack your town. Am I right?" asked Liliana.
"Unfortunately, that is true."
Liliana’s heart became uneasy, especially when Caleb explained the percentage to be 20% that every player on the Izoya continent could be targeted by the Monster Chaos Event, the percentage was large and alarming.
"However, they usually do that if the situation is urgent. It happens when their city defenses are breached and they can’t stem the power of the monster horde," Caleb explained.
"As for me, I’m fully prepared for this event, whether I’m the target or not."
[Announcement!]
[You received one request to join the alliance]
[Applicant: Jack_Hunter]
The applicant panel appeared, saying that player Jack_Hunter sent a request to Caleb to join the alliance. Caleb smiled, he didn’t expect Jennie to finish building the Alliance Center and join so quickly.
[Accept request?]
[Yes] [No]
Without thinking, Caleb accepted Jennie and made the alliance members grow to three: Caleb, Liliana, and Jennie.
"Who’s that?" asked Liliana, watching Caleb press a panel.
"One of my friends. He’s experienced in Season King tournaments. Maybe, he can help us later," Caleb replied.
"Really? That would help us a lot, of course."
Caleb nodded. Just like Liliana, he also sent Jennie a meeting invitation, hoping she would be able to come.
Waiting for about 10 minutes, Jennie finally arrived by alliance teleportation. Liliana turned around, surprised to realize Caleb’s friend was a woman, older than her.
"The Chaos Monster Event is back," Jennie said, Caleb nodding in response to her words.
"I know. Are you able to migrate near us, there are two regions to the north that you can occupy," Caleb replied.
"I already got the migration ticket. Maybe I’ll do it after this meeting is over," Jennie said.
Jennie glanced ahead, seeing the young girl standing behind the meeting chair. Caleb noticed Jennie’s gaze, and began to introduce Liliana to Jennie.
"She’s Liliana," Caleb replied.
"I’m Jennie," Jennie said, bowing her head.
"I-I’m Liliana," Liliana replied.
Jennie turned her head roughly, looking at Caleb seriously, "So, what’s your plan?"
"It is undeniable that I am the player with the strongest kingdom power on this continent. You can temporarily take refuge in my city if your city is attacked," Caleb explained.
"That will make the monsters come to attack you," Liliana said, Caleb smiling.
"I have a special archer unit commander. I can dispel the monsters with the commander’s ability," Caleb replied.
Jennie nodded. The fight against the monsters could be fought with infantry or cavalry, but it was more effective with archers, especially since Caleb had a stone wall surrounding him.
"I want you to form an Archer unit immediately, use all the bundle resources and army you have in your inventory."
"We need to be prepared. The target of the event could be one of us," Caleb said.
Liliana looked ahead, Jennie also looked at Liliana briefly. In the end, they nodded in agreement. They would carry out Caleb’s orders.
Caleb nodded, happy to hear that they were willing to follow his orders. After the meeting concluded, Liliana and Jennie returned to their town hall with the alliance’s teleportation feature. Caleb stepped out of the Alliance Center.
He pressed the Town Hall building, calling Arash the Archer to come out. As Caleb ordered, Arash came out and met with Caleb.
"Do you need me?" asked Arash.
"Yes. Move all archer units from inside the town hall to the top of the city wall, lead them to guard this city," Caleb replied.
"I might increase the number of Archer units in response to the monster chaos event. At least, your goal is to defeat the monsters if they attack the city," Caleb ordered.
Arash heard everything Caleb said. He understood his duty and was ready to protect the city. He and 15 archer units left the town hall and lined up neatly on top of the city wall.
Caleb’s attention was focused to the side, towards the Archery Camp. There, he started producing about 20 Archer units to help defend the city.
