Playboy: Medical and Martial Master-Chapter 222: Mama Shuang
Sun Zhe had no idea where Leng Yueshuang was taking him tonight, and frankly, he didn’t want to know or ask. He simply sat sideways in the passenger seat, content to admire the stunning beauty beside him for the entire drive.
Tonight, Leng Yueshuang was dressed quite conservatively and wasn’t showing much skin. She wore a snow-white casual long-sleeved shirt, matching snow-white pants, and white sneakers. With her long hair hanging loose, she looked both beautiful and chic. Even so, the simple outfit couldn’t conceal her fiery, alluring curves.
Her face was icy and expressionless, as exquisite as a masterpiece meticulously carved by an artist—utterly flawless. As she sat in the driver’s seat with her elegant legs pressed together, the faint outline of a "V" was visible on her lower abdomen. The detail was both mysterious and sexy, and Sun Zhe found his gaze drawn to it more than once.
"Is there something on my face? Why do you keep staring at me?"
Just as Sun Zhe was lost in his secret admiration, Leng Yueshuang suddenly spoke. He just smiled. "I’m admiring a beautiful woman. You’re so gorgeous, is it a crime to look?"
Leng Yueshuang snorted softly. "You’re so improper. Keep staring and I’ll gouge your eyes out." She sounded cold and fierce, but inwardly, she felt a sweet warmth.
Sun Zhe gave a nonchalant shrug. "You can’t beat me in a fight. What are you going to use? Your mouth?"
At his words, Leng Yueshuang huffed again, a blush inexplicably creeping onto her lovely face.
After a moment, she suddenly asked, "You must have a lot of women around you, don’t you?"
"Quite a few," Sun Zhe answered truthfully.
"Then who’s your favorite?"
Sun Zhe thought for a moment before saying, "My heart might be shaped like a durian."
"What do you mean?"
"There’s someone on every spike," Sun Zhe replied.
Leng Yueshuang’s eyes filled with disdain. "Utterly shameless," she whispered.
As they talked, Leng Yueshuang suddenly turned into an underground parking garage. After they got out of the car, she led Sun Zhe to an elevator. She took a card from her purse, swiped it, and pressed the button for the 17th floor.
A few moments later, Sun Zhe followed Leng Yueshuang out of the elevator and into a corridor filled with dazzling lights. He noticed many exquisitely decorated small rooms lining both sides of the hall. Through the windows on each door, he saw a beautiful and sexily dressed young woman inside every room. The women all had different styles—some were shy, others elegant, and some were lively and fiery. They were either singing and dancing for the camera, striking provocative poses, or simply chatting and telling stories.
Sun Zhe immediately realized it was a live-streaming operation! He discreetly activated the camera ring on his finger, planning to record everything to give to Chu Youdie, that "hat sister."
"This is a live-streaming company?"
Leng Yueshuang nodded slightly. "Every streamer signed here is formally employed. They get a base salary of 6,000, and their streaming revenue is shared with the company according to their contract."
Sun Zhe nodded. "Why did you bring me here?"
"Just showing you around. This is also one of the Lieyang Group’s businesses. It might be handed over to you in the future."
"I think I remember Fengzi mentioning that Lieyang was involved in the live-streaming business," Sun Zhe said.
After a brief tour and introductions to some of the management staff, Leng Yueshuang led Sun Zhe back to the underground parking garage.
Sun Zhe got into the passenger seat. "Where to next?" he asked.
"Another place," Leng Yueshuang said as she started the car.
「About half an hour later.」
Leng Yueshuang pulled up to a relatively secluded welfare center. The center was expansive and equipped with all sorts of living facilities, giving it a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. However, Sun Zhe noticed that almost everyone at the center, young and old, had some form of physical disability. Despite this, the center was filled with an air of contentment, like one big, happy family.
After they had walked around for a bit, Sun Zhe suddenly asked, "Is this welfare center also part of the Lieyang Group?"
Leng Yueshuang nodded. Just as she was about to speak, a group of children ran cheerfully toward her. They immediately hugged her legs and grabbed her hands, fawning over her. What’s more, all the little ones called her "Mama Shuang." They affectionately called out the name one after another, their adoration obvious.
Sun Zhe also noticed that when she was with these kids, Leng Yueshuang’s usual icy demeanor completely melted away. She was like a gentle big sister, her face full of smiles as she interacted warmly with the little ones.
Sun Zhe stood quietly to the side, a smile on his face. He suddenly found Leng Yueshuang breathtakingly beautiful in that moment.
Suddenly, a small, fair hand reached out and tugged gently on the corner of his shirt. He looked down to see a little girl who looked about six or seven years old. She had two braided pigtails, a chubby, adorable face, and a pair of big, bright, watery eyes.
The little girl asked in a sweet, childish voice, "Mister, you’re so handsome. Are you Mama Shuang’s boyfriend?"
Sun Zhe smiled, bent down, and lifted the little girl high into the air, spinning her around a few times. The girl giggled, flailing her arms and legs. "This is fun! Mister, you’re so strong!"
He gently set her down and ruffled her hair. "What’s your name, little one?"
"My name is Yueyue. What about you, Mister?"
"I’m Sun Zhe."
"Mr. Sun."
"Mmm, that’s a nice name. Yueyue, you’re a good kid. By the way, why do you all call her Mama Shuang?"
With a look of pure innocence, Yueyue stared up at Sun Zhe with her big, watery eyes. "Because she’s everyone’s mama."
"We’re all orphans. Our mommies and daddies became stars in the sky. Mama Shuang is the one who takes care of us and raises us."
Hearing this, Sun Zhe looked over at Leng Yueshuang playing with the other children, and a deep sense of respect washed over him. He never expected this seemingly cold and heartless woman to have such a noble side to her.
After a while, the two of them took a group photo with the kids before leaving the welfare center together.
Settling back into the passenger seat, Sun Zhe teased, "Mama Shuang... I really didn’t see that coming. So this is the kind of person you are."
Leng Yueshuang reverted to her usual cool aloofness. "Don’t just call me that," she said flatly.
Sun Zhe’s expression turned serious. "Those kids, and the people with disabilities... where did they all come from?" 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Leng Yueshuang figured there was no longer any need to hide it from him. "They’re all from Northern Myanmar," she said truthfully.
Sun Zhe’s brow furrowed at her words. So, Leng Yueshuang really does have ties to Northern Myanmar! But... it seems this ’connection’ is completely different from what I imagined.
Leng Yueshuang stated calmly, "Everyone at the welfare center, as well as the streamers you saw at the company earlier—I rescued all of them from Northern Myanmar."
Sun Zhe was quiet for a moment. "So, this is what you’re busy with all the time? Helping these people?"
Leng Yueshuang offered a faint smile. "I wouldn’t call it helping. It’s more like each of us gets what we need." She glanced at Sun Zhe before adding, "You can also see it as us cultivating talent for our Qingcheng Palace, injecting it with new blood."
"Qingcheng Palace?"
"Qingcheng Palace," Leng Yueshuang explained, "is the Martial Artist Influence I belong to. In other words, it’s my sect."
