Chapter 962: Divine Treasure

"Destiny."

Null understood the literal meaning of the word, but she clearly did not comprehend the deeper concept it represented. It was a concept that transcended even the Eternal.

Li Pin did not elaborate further. That was because... it could not be explained.

Just like when the Void Emperor first mentioned the word destiny to him back then, he had not taken it seriously at all. He had even confidently believed he could challenge destiny and alter it. He was full of confidence and high-spirited, until... he truly came into contact with destiny.

But... so be it then.

As with destiny's arrangements for me, if I am destined to surpass all, to continually charge toward greater realms, then... I accept it.

Li Pin murmured in his heart.

That was because only by doing this could he harness the power of destiny to challenge Eternity and truly perceive the truth of destiny.

And thus... surpass destiny.

This was his path.

"As long as you stand in my way, no matter what you are, I can still defeat you and surpass you."

Li Pin was calm and composed, fearless and unflinching.

Null sensed a change in Li Pin's inner spirit. "You've thought of a way?"

"I can only say I've found a direction," Li Pin replied.

"You want to borrow the power of destiny to confront that Eternal?" guessed Null. "That kind of power... does it really work?"

"We can only know if it works after trying. Whether we succeed or fail, we can never be sure unless we try."

Li Pin was sorting out his thoughts, clarifying the key points of the matter.

Since this involved destiny, he had to start off with the Void Emperor.

"I want you to help me find someone..." said Li Pin.

But a moment later, he realized something—the Void Emperor was a true Transcendent.

If such a being wished to hide, no one could find him.

In some sense, he would appear the moment when he was ready to see Li Pin.

"Forget it. I'll try to see if there's any way to make him show himself," Li Pin said.

"Perhaps... you don't need to push yourself so hard," Null said. "My strength is recovering. Once I've fully recovered, the two of us working together might still be able to drive back the King of Gods."

"After recovery... Transcendence?"

Li Pin recalled the recently unlocked data in Null's database about Transcendents. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

A Transcendent and a Creator working together could produce strength far greater than the sum of their parts. The two of them joining forces to fight the King of Gods was not a mere fantasy.

But...

"At most, we could merely fight his current form. Don't forget, the King of Gods is a Chaos lifeform. Once a Chaos lifeform sets its sights on a place, there's almost nothing it cannot breach. If he reaches the starry cosmos and begins infinitely splitting... at that point, no one will be able to oppose them, not even if we break through again," Li Pin said.

Null cross-referenced the data in her database on Chaos Lifeforms. Fortunately, her database contained detailed records on Chaos Lifeforms. Because of the detail, she could assess that what Li Pin said... was true.

Chaos Lifeforms, with their simple dimensional structure, could grow rapidly by copy-pasting themselves at an unfathomable speed. It exceeded the speed limit that a Creator and Transcendent could break even by working together.

In other words, their combined attacks and destruction would not keep up with the enemy's rate of regeneration. The more they fought, the more massive the enemy would become, until it swallowed the entire starry cosmos.

Such a battle tactic... was simply unbeatable.

Even if they attained further breakthroughs, they might not be able to change the situation.

Unless... they could make two consecutive realm jumps before the King of Gods devoured the starry cosmos, reaching the final level of cultivation of Creation, Chaos, and Transcendent lifeforms—the level of Controller.

However, compared to that possibility, Li Pin felt that borrowing the power of destiny to interfere with the Eternal and stepping into the Eternity Realm himself was more feasible.

"Unfortunately... the starry cosmos seems far too distant from the universe I will live in in the future. I don't know its exact location. Otherwise, if I could find the correct route and call for help from there..."

Null trailed off as she spoke.

It was too late. The distance between universes in the Void of Chaos was unimaginably vast. Casually speaking, it could be dozens or even hundreds of eras apart.

Even if the top powerhouses of that universe were willing to come to the starry cosmos's aid, by the time they arrived, the starry cosmos would have already been devoured by the King of Gods, leaving not even scraps behind.

At that moment, both Li Pin and Null sensed something and instinctively looked toward the depths of the Void of Chaos.

"This is..."

"The King of the God's vanguard force."

"Your true body isn't here. I'll intercept them."

Li Pin shook his head. "Focus on recovering at full speed. These beings must not disrupt your recovery."

He turned his gaze toward the Homo Sapien Supreme Council. "Lately, I've ordered Miao Ya, Yong Yao, as well as other Creators and Quasi-Creators to purge those who betrayed the starry cosmos, causing unrest. Even within the Human Race, voices of dissent have emerged, accusing us of overcorrecting, though silenced by power, they dare not speak out.

"These invaders from the Gods World are the perfect trigger to help them realize which side truly deserves their trust. Through these enemies' mouths, they can finally open their eyes and learn the truth about the Void of Chaos."

Null thought for a moment and then nodded slightly. "Without enduring storms, how can one grow? Choosing the right time to let outsiders from the Void of Chaos wake them up is indeed a wise decision."

"Still, the news must be properly conveyed."

As he spoke, Li Pin transmitted news of the King of Gods' imminent assault back to the Supreme Council.

"According to the information you provided, the middle-tier deities of the Gods World are somewhat comparable to Supremes, but their power relies heavily on the Gods World's amplification. Once they enter the unfamiliar starry cosmos, their actual strength will fall below the Supremes. However, for those upper-tier deities, the Supremes will struggle against them.

"Fighting different opponents is the best way to understand oneself and break past one's limits. The wisdom of others can polish our own. This battle may allow a truly talented group to emerge."

Li Pin continued, "Moreover, based on my observations, it's just over three thousand deities. This force is nothing compared to the Gods World. If the entire starry cosmos still can't defeat a mere three thousand deities, it would only prove that the current cultivation system of this universe is so flawed it needs to be entirely overthrown and rebuilt."

Null gave a brief reminder, but seeing that Li Pin had already made up his mind, she said no more.

"I'll recover as quickly as I can, to ease the burden you face," she stated.

Li Pin nodded. Then, his avatar left the Ocean of Time, no longer disturbing Null.

"The Void Emperor..." muttered Li Pin.

On the way, he pondered where the Void Emperor might appear.

Eventually, he decided to try searching with full effort while also testing to see if he could lure the Void Emperor to come to him.

"Sasha," he called.

"Your Majesty Origin," Sasha quickly responded.

"I'm granting you top-level access to the First Galaxy Database. Search for any intel on the Void Emperor. At the same time, send messages to the Supremes of the Supreme Council and have them search for the Void Emperor with full effort."

"Understood," Sasha responded.

"Also, I remember that the Supreme Council recently obtained a large amount of ancient Astral World data from several Quasi-Creators, yet none of that data mentions the reason the ancient Astral World was destroyed?"

"Correct."

Sasha quickly replied, "Supreme Regalheaven is considered one of the ancient powerhouses who survived from the era of the ancient Astral World, yet even he couldn't determine how it was destroyed. All he knows is that one day, it suddenly collapsed, and everything it contained either fell from a higher dimension or turned into a void."

She paused, then added, "However, according to Supreme Regalheaven, before its collapse, the ancient Astral World may have been the true body of a great being who failed to ascend to Eternity."

"Failed to break through into Eternity?" Li Pin was somewhat surprised. "Are you certain?"

Due to the information brought back by the Quasi-Creators from the ancient Astral World, the entire starry cosmos had recently been caught in an Eternity craze, with everyone attributing anything inexplicable to Eternity.

That was why Li Pin pressed for confirmation.

"It's uncertain. This is just a speculation by Supreme Regalheaven. The current Astral World differs greatly from its ancient counterpart, as if it had fallen from a higher-dimensional world into a high-energy world. He couldn't give a definitive answer."

Sasha paused, then added, "But personally, I think the possibility is high. When Cosmic Radiances fall, they still leave behind legacies through Eternal Oblivion. At the very least, their undispersed obsessions can form a Divine Treasure. If a being strong enough to attempt Eternity did fall, surely some traces would remain."

Li Pin shook his head. "The possibility is very high? Not necessarily."

The Eternity Realm was different from all other realms. Once someone tried to ascend to Eternity, even their karmic ties to this world would likely be stripped away. What else could possibly remain? If anything did remain, it would likely be some kind of Indestructible Matter. A Divine Treasure? Unlikely.

When compared to Null, Sasha's level was still far too low.

"Wait!"

Just then, a realization suddenly struck Li Pin.

"A Divine Treasure!?"

Wasn't his first encounter with the Void Emperor in the Void Divine Treasure!? And the Void Divine Treasure was one of the three Forbidden Divine Treasures. There were two others beside it—the Heavenly Retribution Divine Treasure and the Supreme Divine Treasure.

Could it be that something was hidden within these two Divine Treasures as well!?

"Sasha, access top clearance and give me all data on the Heavenly Retribution Divine Treasure and the Forbidden Divine Treasures."

"Yes," Sasha quickly replied. "Of the two treasures, the Heavenly Retribution Divine Treasure is suspected to have been left behind by the Heavenly Retribution Astral God, while the Supreme Divine Treasure belonged to the Infinite Astral God. I've already sent you their detailed data, Your Majesty."
