Planet Pulverizer: A Mortal's Ascent-Chapter 451: Destiny
Chapter 451: Destiny
In the Dragon Swamp Nebula on the Candle Light Star Ring.
To some extent, all the nebulae within the Candle Light Star Ring could be considered to share a common origin.
In an unimaginably ancient past, a great deity—Zhulong—descended upon and lingered in this star region.
He did not fall like Astral God Yin Luo, whose death caused the astral energy within him to erupt like a supernova, illuminating an entire star system for tens of stellar years. The aura he emitted over time gradually transformed the life forms in this star region.
Thus, the oldest civilizations recognized the blessings of this great deity and collectively worshipped Zhulong, referring to themselves as descendants of the dragon.
This applied to the Divine Dragon Empire and the Holy Dragon Clan as well.
Farther away, other groups recognized by the Homo Sapien Alliance included the Celestial Dragonians, the Flaming Dragon Empire, the Black Dragon Clan, and others.
At the Alliance Star.
The Divine Dragon Empire occupied an unparalleled geographic advantage, with Alliance Star serving as its open primary planet for diplomacy, trade, and alliances. Its diameter exceeds forty thousand kilometers. Its gravity was also several times that of Gaia.
Thanks to the Divine Dragon Empire's advanced technology and cultivation system, the people living on the Alliance Star didn't strike off as being short but rather tall and imposing.
That was particularly the case after they adopted the Astral Cultivator system, where they naturally adjusted their physique to the two-meter golden ratio recognized by the Homo Sapien Alliance. As a result, even though they lived on a planet with extraordinary gravity, they remained dignified and majestic.
At this moment, atop a towering spire over a thousand meters high, surrounded by a palace complex guarded by countless elites, stood the Alliance Star Lord—Prince Yan Zhong. He was clad in a black robe, with a perfectly proportioned figure.
He was gazing at the distant horizon. There, yellow sand filled the sky, stretching endlessly to the horizon.
The city they occupied was supremely prosperous, with astral energy technology saturating every corner, giving it a futuristic and dreamlike vibe. Thus, the vast desert was no longer a deadly, impassable wasteland for most beings on this planet but a mesmerizing natural landscape.
At this moment, a person's voice came from behind.
Immediately after, a man approximately 1.98 meters tall stepped forward and bowed respectfully. "Your Highness."
Judging by the restrained astral energy fluctuations emanating from him, he was undoubtedly an extremely powerful Heavenly Realm Astral Cultivator.
It wasn't difficult for Heavenly Realm Astral Cultivators to remold their physique. However, in the Divine Dragon Empire and many civilizations that interacted with the Homo Sapien Alliance, there was an unwritten rule—only the highest-ranking individuals could attain the two-meter golden ratio height.
As for the others, their height would typically range from 1.8 to 1.99 meters, depending on their status.
To some extent, height was equivalent to a status symbol.

Of course, only those civilizations that had just come into contact with the Homo Sapien Alliance yet lacked any real influence would be stringent about details like height, language, attire, and living habits.
Truly confident civilizations embraced inclusiveness and cultural openness.
"Qing Lin," called Yan Zhong. "Has the imperial capital sent word?"
"Yes, His Majesty's instructions are to act swiftly regarding Gaia," Qing Lin answered.
Yan Zhong was a little surprised. "They failed?"
"Yes, there is still considerable resistance within Gaia's civilization," Qing Lin responded.
"Resistance?" Hearing this term, Yan Zhong frowned. "I'm unable to understand this at all."
He gazed out at the endless yellow sand outside the window. "Has our Divine Dragon Empire not been sincere enough? What is the point of their persistence? To be directly devoured and eradicated by more powerful civilizations, leading to total extinction?
"Or, do they want to, in the third stage's final phase, become sustenance for the majestic Astral God's successors, perishing in the vast cosmos? They would rather face destruction than integrate into our Divine Dragon Empire and become part of this advanced civilization?"
Qing Lin said calmly, "Perhaps it is not the common people of their civilization unwilling to integrate but the elites. They refuse to relinquish their interests. After all, to them, all life within their civilization is considered their private property. Integrating into the Divine Dragon Empire would be equivalent to surrendering these assets, so they'd naturally resist vigorously."
He continued, "We've encountered more than a few similar civilizations. Take the rebellious natives of Demonic Dragon Star, for example. They would rather transform their people into monsters than accept our assistance to transition from barbarism to prosperity."
Yan Zhong sighed upon hearing this. "Private properties.... After all, from their perspective, it's not themselves being turned into monsters but the warriors beneath them. All they need to do is continuously brainwash these warriors, tricking them into becoming monsters to die on the battlefield.
"Even if, occasionally, one or two noble-minded individuals see through their sinister schemes and wish to defect to us, they'd be resolutely and thoroughly eliminated by their own leaders."
Qing Lin's expression didn't change. He was an executive who had seen such things countless times.
Yan Zhong said, "Then, are we unable to employ the Astral Fire series of plans? Directly expose the truth to the public, mobilize the lower-class citizens to oppose them voluntarily, and select a proxy from among them. Meanwhile, we indirectly assist in destroying their world's leadership. Since they fear power but lack gratitude, we might as well give them what they are asking for."
"I'm afraid that's not possible. The Gaia civilization is... somewhat different from others," said Qing Lin with a tone of caution. "There is suspicion from above... that Gaia may have birthed a Destiny's Child. This civilization has already become a latent threat that our Divine Dragon Empire cannot ignore."
"Destiny's Child!?" Yan Zhong was taken aback. "Are you referring to one of those superpowers nurtured by a civilization's collective destiny?"
He frowned. "The probability of such a superbeing being born is theoretically minuscule, being not even one among hundreds of civilizations... and yet we've encountered one?"
"The probability is indeed low, but it isn't zero. Once this Destiny's Child completes their growth and becomes a superpower in their civilization... they could even threaten our Divine Dragon Empire's dominance in the Dragon Swamp Nebula."
"Complete their growth, evolve into a superpower... become that civilization's..." Yan Zhong paused and then continued, "Super Gaian..."
The legendary figure, who had established his domain over three centuries ago and held immense power, pondered briefly before making a decision.
Although there had always been tales of Destiny's Child, the probability of them successfully transforming into superpowers was low....
Those who completed their transformation were inevitably figures who dazzled an era.
Eons ago, before this galaxy became part of the Homo Sapien Alliance and was still called the Milky Way, a mighty figure from the Golden Emperor Clan came to this galaxy. Proclaimed to be the Milky Way Emperor, he treated this galaxy as his personal playground.
His astonishing lineage made him so powerful that even the Milky Way Council of the time turned a blind eye to his deeds, not daring to intervene in his wanton behavior.
Eventually, this Milky Way Emperor learned of a renowned warrior race in the galaxy that had birthed a Destiny's Child. Out of curiosity about the tales of Destiny's Children and superpowers, he destroyed that civilization's home planet.
He believed that with the home planet destroyed, the destiny of the Destiny's Child would naturally dissipate.
However, that Destiny's Child survived and became a superpower after decades of battles, ultimately killing the Milky Way Emperor—a being so formidable that even the Milky Way Council dared not provoke him.
"The Milky Way Emperor..." Yan Zhong murmured, as if recalling something. "Speaking of which, the Yin Luo Galaxy currently hosts a strong figure from the Golden Emperor Clan as well..."
A member of the Golden Emperor Clan had coincidentally chosen to sire offspring when Astral God Yin Luo descended....
Yan Zhong shook his head.
These matters were too far from his current concerns. What he needed now was to promptly eliminate the potential threat posed by the Gaia civilization.
As part of the Homo Sapien Alliance, the Divine Dragon Empire would remain largely unaffected—even if an inheritor of Astral God Yin Luo were to emerge, only those recently empowered by the starlight would be consumed as fuel. Those who existed before the Astral God's descent would survive, ensuring the empire's continuity...
Of course, if the inheritor chose not to spare them, those who had once been competitors for the Astral God's legacy would still meet a grim fate. However, as long as they were pragmatic, preserving their civilization's legacy was still within reach.
If the Gaia civilization were allowed to grow unchecked, and its Destiny's Child transformed into a superpower... things wouldn't turn out so good.
Yan Zhong couldn't help but ask again, "Does the Gaia civilization truly have a Destiny's Child?"
Qing Lin responded solemnly, "We are unsure, but His Majesty's directive is clear: better to err on the side of caution than to let one slip by."
Yan Zhong inquired, "Can our people enter Gaia now? Will the Homo Sapien Alliance hold us accountable afterward?"
Qing Lin answered, "Almost all members of Gaia's upper echelon have cultivated the Cosmic True Dragon Secret Art, and our disseminated Astral Cultivator techniques have a cultivation success rate exceeding fifty percent. As long as we act swiftly and establish a fait accompli, we should be able to avoid leaving any significant vulnerabilities."
"Then proceed," Yan Zhong said calmly. "Commence immediately. Confirm Gaia's coordinates, focus our energies, use an alternate dimension as the node, and activate the Astral Gate to convert that dimension into a transit hub for descending upon Gaia."
He paused slightly before continuing, "How much time is required?"
Qing Lin replied, "The Gaia civilization has been under our surveillance all along. Three months will suffice."
"Very well. You and Yan Ya shall proceed. Mobilize the Third, Fourth, and Fifth Legions. Lead thirty thousand elite troops to Gaia and finish this quickly."
Qing Lin cautiously said, "Your Highness, since a Destiny's Child is involved in this matter—even if it remains uncertain—His Majesty's wish is... for you to personally intervene."
Yan Zhong was momentarily taken aback. "For me to intervene personally?"
He then involuntarily recalled the myriad rumors surrounding Destiny's Children and superpowers.
After a moment of silence, he said, "You're right. Even a lion uses its full strength to catch a rabbit."
Yan Zhong nodded solemnly, his expression grave. "When the time comes, I will personally descend upon Gaia to bring an end to their civilization."
