Phoenix Revenge System-Chapter 96: PRS
As Isabella had predicted, Alesio’s strength surpassed that of a normal human. Even after being given the nerve-paralyzing poison, he still had the ability and strength to struggle.
"GRAAHHH! LET ME GO!" Alesio roared in an inhuman voice from inside the cell.
"Damn! His strength is incredible! Even the maximum dose of nerve-paralyzing poison couldn’t completely subdue him!" said one of the guards, his face pale.
Fortunately, the handcuffs that Isabella had purchased at the Phoenix System mall were strong and effective enough to prevent the demon possessing Alesio from escaping.
"These handcuffs are truly extraordinary. What material are they made of?" asked another guard, observing the handcuffs, which were emitting a faint bluish glow.
"I don’t know. This is the only thing that can restrain him," replied his colleague, wiping the sweat from his forehead.
"What other professor do you think would conduct such a crazy experiment?" asked a Dark Evil member named Pedro, who was on duty today with his colleague Martin.
"You know, there have been a lot of strange cases like this lately," Pedro replied, eyeing Alesio warily from outside the cell.
"I don’t know, his red eyes remind me of Professor Matius’ experiment, which failed and caused a stir in Country F," Martin replied, shuddering.
"Oh my, don’t remind me of that incident. I still have nightmares about the victims of that experiment," Pedro said, shivering.
"But this is different. The aura is... darker. Like there’s a supernatural force involved," Martin added in a serious tone.
"You mean... black magic?" Pedro whispered, his eyes wide.
"It’s possible. I’ve heard of forbidden rituals that can grant great power with dire consequences," Martin replied, shaking his head.
Neither of them knew that Alesio was possessed by an evil demon, having exchanged his soul in a heretical ritual just to unite with Isabella through a blood ritual he unfortunately failed to perform, leading to his eventual death.
Alesio’s current characteristics were indeed similar to those of several prisoners who had been placed in the same cell some time ago.
"I remember, last month we had a prisoner with a similar condition," Pedro said, flipping through an old note.
"That’s right. But that one wasn’t as strong as this one. He died within three days," Martin replied, nodding.
"Will this prisoner suffer the same fate?" Pedro asked curiously.
In the underworld, strange research, deadly viruses, and various poisons are commonly traded. So, even though they didn’t know the exact cause, Alesio’s current condition wasn’t particularly surprising, as they had seen many unnatural things during their time with Dark Evil.
"Never mind, our job is simply to guard. Let Miss Isabella decide her fate," Martin said, patting Pedro on the shoulder.
"You’re right. Let’s continue patrolling," Pedro replied, walking away from cell number five.
Meanwhile, elsewhere, a newlywed couple, after all the guests had left, immediately entered their bridal chamber and cleaned themselves up before resting.
"Finally, we’re alone," Morgan said, hugging Isabella from behind.
"Yes, today was very tiring, but fun," Isabella replied, leaning against her husband’s chest.
"Now, time for just the two of us," Morgan whispered seductively.
Isabella, beginning to remember Alesio, started a conversation with Phoenix System. "Phoenix System, how is Alesio?" she asked curiously.
[DING!!!]
[Alesio is safe thanks to the hellish handcuffs the Host purchased from Phoenix System. The demon currently possessing his body cannot escape, and the Host can destroy it using a soul-destroying poison available at the Phoenix System mall.]
"Soul-destroying poison?" Isabella asked curiously, frowning.
"What’s wrong, honey? You look like you’re thinking about something," Morgan Elio asked, studying his wife’s face.
"It’s okay. Just thinking about work for a moment," Isabella replied with a smile to reassure her husband.
[Host, that’s right. Only with the soul-destroying poison can the demon within Alesio be destroyed.]
Isabella was momentarily stunned by the Phoenix System’s words. "Will the poison have any effect?" she asked herself, worried.
[Under normal circumstances, it shouldn’t have any effect. But since Alesio has pledged his soul to the demon, his chances of survival are zero percent.]
"Zero percent? Does that mean he’s definitely going to die?" Isabella asked in shock.
Once again, the Phoenix System’s answer stunned Isabella. She couldn’t believe that Alesio could lose his mind and even pawn his soul to the devil just to fulfill his obsession.
"Alesio... why are you so stupid?" she muttered in a low, disappointed voice.
"I loved you once... but not to the point of destroying myself like you did," she whispered, her eyes welling with tears.
But, whatever it was, it was Alesio’s choice. While she regretted his actions, Isabella couldn’t do anything about it. After all, he was the one who had disturbed her, so don’t blame her if she became cruel.
"This is your choice, Alesio. It wasn’t me who killed you, but your own obsession," she murmured with finality.
Morgan, who had just finished showering, walked over to his wife, who seemed lost in thought on the bed.
"Honey, what are you thinking about that seriously?" Morgan asked, sitting on the edge of the bed.
"What are you daydreaming about, hmmm..." Morgan asked, pinching his wife’s chin, forcing Isabella’s gaze to focus on her husband’s handsome face.
"Ah, no. Just thinking about little things," Isabella replied with a faint smile.
Morgan’s wet hair, partially dripping down her face, his husky, sexy voice, and her husband’s melancholy gaze, aroused Isabella’s desire.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Isabella asked, her face flushing.
"Because my wife is very beautiful," Morgan replied with a seductive smile.
Morgan, seeing that his wife also seemed to harbor desire for him, didn’t waste the opportunity and greedily devoured the petite lips in front of him.
"Mmmhh..." Isabella moaned as Morgan’s lips crashed passionately against hers.
The hot kiss and the gentle caress of Morgan’s hands, already roaming inside Isabella’s pajamas, made the woman writhe in pleasure.
"Elio... wait..." Isabella said breathlessly.
"I can’t wait any longer, honey. I’ve been holding back all day," Morgan replied in a hoarse, lustful voice.
It’s unknown how long ago, all her clothes disappeared, leaving Isabella’s body, writhing on the bed as her husband’s hands touched her sensitive spots, completely naked, without a single thread covering her sexy body. Their first night together was incredibly heated.
It’s unknown how many times they reached their peak, but they only ended their lovemaking as morning approached.
"I... can’t take it anymore..." Isabella moaned breathlessly.
"Just a little longer, honey. One more round," Morgan cooed, kissing his wife’s forehead.
Fortunately, Isabella had greater stamina than most, so when she woke up, she was a little lethargic, but she wasn’t unable to walk due to Morgan’s ferocity, which hadn’t allowed her thighs to cover up for a moment all night.
"Ouch... my whole body aches," Isabella complained, struggling to get out of bed.
"Sorry, honey. I couldn’t control myself last night," Morgan said as he helped his wife to her feet.
"It’s okay. It’s my duty as a wife," Isabella replied with a shy smile.
After cleaning herself, Isabella, not wanting to involve Morgan in her affairs, went to the Dark Evil headquarters alone.
"Honey, where are you going so early?" Morgan asked as he saw her getting ready to leave.
"I have a few things to do at the office. Just a moment," Isabella replied, kissing her husband on the cheek.
"Okay, be careful on the road," Morgan Elio said, hugging his wife briefly.
According to the Phoenix System’s instructions, not wanting Alesio to cause harm to anyone else, Isabella immediately executed him cleanly.
"I’m sorry, Alesio. This is the only way," Isabella whispered as she injected the soul-killing poison into Alesio’s unconscious body.
Isabella quietly delivered Alesio’s body to his family. To avoid arousing suspicion, she placed her ex-lover’s body in her ritual chamber, which turned out to be in her room, pretending that Alesio had died after performing some forbidden ritual.
"May you find peace in the afterlife," Isabella said softly before leaving the room.
A week later, Alesio’s body was discovered after one of the servants smelled a strong, putrid odor emanating from her young master’s room.
"KYAAA! YOUNG MASTER!" the servant screamed hysterically upon discovering Alesio’s body.
"What’s wrong?! Why are you screaming?!" the butler asked, running toward the source of the scream.
"Y-young master... he... he’s already..." the servant said, trembling with fear.
News of Alesio’s death shocked the nation. Grandpa tried to cover up the incident and announced that his grandson had died of exhaustion after working hard.
"My poor grandson. He worked too hard," Grandpa said, tears streaming down his face in front of reporters.
"We miss Alesio so much," he added, his voice trembling.
News of Alesio’s death had also reached Isabella. Seeing Grandpa’s public alibi, Isabella felt quite satisfied.
"It’s finally over," she murmured, closing her laptop after reading the news.
"May you rest in peace, Alesio," she whispered regretfully.
With the Phoenix Queen System now active, Isabella was doing very well, and their home life was harmonious, as they supported each other through all circumstances. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
"Honey, look at this quarter’s financial report. It’s amazing!" Morgan said proudly.
"This is all thanks to both of our hard work," Isabella replied with a smile.
"And I have more good news," Isabella said, holding her stomach.
"What? Could it be..." Morgan looked at his wife with sparkling eyes.
"Yes, I’m pregnant," Isabella replied with a happy smile.
Decades later, Isabella, now 80 years old, was preparing to leave, having long since made arrangements for her children and grandchildren.
"I’m old," she muttered as she looked in the mirror and noticed her graying hair.
"But I’ve lived happily. No regrets," she added with a smile.
[DING!!!]
[Host’s time in this world is up. It’s time for Host to carry out her next mission, as a form of Host’s obligation to the Phoenix System’s convenience. Are Host ready?]
Isabella smiled bitterly, "Ready or not, I have to go too," she said to herself in a resigned but sincere tone.
"Thank you, Phoenix System. You have given me a beautiful second life," she whispered gratefully.
She kissed her husband’s lips several times before burying her head in Morgan Elio’s arms tonight.
"I love you, Morgan. Forever," she whispered softly.
"I love you too, honey. Forever," Morgan replied, tightening her embrace.
She had enough to live for, both her career and the love of her family, husband, three children, and two grandchildren, so she had no regrets about leaving.
"Okay, Phoenix System, I’m ready," Isabella said to herself, her eyes closed peacefully.
[Okay. The journey to the next mission is being processed...]
[10%....30%....60%...70%...85%....100%]
Once the Phoenix System was 100% complete, Isabella stopped breathing and died in her husband’s arms with a smile on her lips.
Morgan, feeling his wife’s body grow cold, woke up from his sleep.
"Honey? Isabella?" he called out in a worried voice.
Seeing that she was no longer breathing, he immediately laid her on the bed and called all his children and grandchildren to come to the main mansion.
"NO! ISABELLA! DON’T LEAVE ME!" he shouted, tears streaming down his face.
Previously, Isabella had told him she had a premonition that she wouldn’t live long. Although sad, the family members who had already said goodbye to the woman didn’t feel too down, believing that all living things would eventually return to God’s bosom.
"Mom told us not to grieve for too long," said Isabella’s eldest child, wiping away her tears.
"She wanted us to move on and be happy," added her second child, hugging their father.
Time passed as it should, and true to his promise, Morgan retired and enjoyed his retirement, taking care of his new grandchildren and great-grandchildren until he joined his wife in the bosom of God.
"Finally, I’m catching up with you, Isabella. Wait for me," Morgan whispered with a peaceful smile in her final moments.
Isabella’s success as an independent career woman inspired many other women, enabling those who were depressed due to marital failures or disrespected by their families due to strong patriarchal systems to rise up and live well.
At that moment, everyone realized the reason Isabella was able to live her life well was because she didn’t depend entirely on men, but on herself.
Only when you stand alone, only when you rely on yourself, is the most reliable thing.
Her career, success, and happiness in life all stemmed from her own abilities and the positive mindset she applied to her life.
"Be the Isabella Clark of your own life," said the renowned motivational speaker in her seminars, inspiring millions of women worldwide.
