Phoenix Revenge System-Chapter 120: PRS 21 Liona
Feeling Januar was very uncomfortable, his chest felt tight as if something was pressing down on it. But since he was already in front of the house, with heavy steps, he knocked on the door before entering. His hands trembled slightly as he knocked.
"I’m home..." he said in a slightly hoarse voice.
"Come on in..." replied everyone inside in unison cheerfully.
January had just begun when he saw his younger sister, whom he hadn’t seen in a long time. A broad smile immediately spread across his face, as if a weight had been lifted from his shoulders.
"Lura! Finally, you’re home! How long has it been since we last saw each other? I missed you so much!" she said happily as she stepped inside with a lighter step.
Seeing his family’s warm atmosphere, the heavy weight that had been pressing down on Januar’s chest disappeared without a trace. A sincere smile spread across his face.
"I’m glad you all look fine," said Januar with relief.
"Hey, Laus... how are you? Is the chip business going well?" asked Januar, shaking his brother-in-law’s hand warmly and familiarly.
Laus was not surprised that his brother-in-law knew about his business because he had also known for quite some time that the canteen lady was someone Januar often asked about Lura and her children in the village of Satarara.
Since his brother-in-law had no bad intentions, Laus tried to turn a blind eye and not tell his wife about it so that Lura wouldn’t worry. After all, Januar always asked with good intentions, not to cause trouble.
"Everything is going smoothly, sis. Orders are starting to come in, thank God we can continue to grow," replied Laus gratefully with a big smile.
"Is that your motorcycle? Wow, it’s great that you can afford a motorcycle now! A new motorcycle too. You must be very happy, right?" Januar praised her again, with a hint of pride in his voice.
"Yes, sis. Orders have started coming in, so if I don’t have a vehicle, it’s a bit difficult to rely on public transportation to get around. Especially if I’m carrying a lot of goods, it’s also troublesome," replied Laus, scratching his head even though it wasn’t itchy.
Januar understood the situation his sister-in-law was in. He nodded in understanding. If only their communication hadn’t been cut off, maybe he and his family could have helped so that Lura and her husband wouldn’t have had such a hard time starting their business.
"If we hadn’t been separated, I could have helped you guys sooner," said Januar regretfully.
Now that their whole family is back together, helping his sister is no longer difficult. Januar is determined to help as much as he can.
January, who was too focused on Lura and her husband, slightly ignored Liona’s presence in Arto’s arms, until the corner of her eye caught sight of a stranger in their father’s embrace.
"Well, whose child is this? Why is he so cute?" asked Januar curiously as he approached to get a better look.
"This is Liona, your younger sister’s youngest daughter. Our last grandchild," Atri replied before her husband could, with a proud tone.
"Liona, this is Uncle Januar. Say hello..." said Arto, teaching her as he carried Liona closer to Arjuna.
"Hello, Uncle..." greeted Liona with her adorable baby voice.
Januar, feeling affectionate, immediately gave Liona’s chubby cheeks a gentle pinch. "Hello, Liona. Uncle’s beautiful niece. You look just like Lura when she was little," he said with a big smile. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
Seeing Januar’s handsome face, Liona flashed a wide smile, revealing two lower teeth and one upper tooth that had just grown halfway. Her smile was innocent and adorable.
"Uncle is very kind, but unfortunately his wife is terrible. The child raised by Uncle is not his own flesh and blood, but the child of his wife’s affair with the neighbor across the street," Liona muttered sadly to herself.
Januar, who couldn’t see Liona’s mouth moving but heard her voice, was so shocked that his body froze instantly. His eyes widened in disbelief.
Especially after he heard the shocking truth revealed by Liona. It felt like being struck by lightning in broad daylight.
"What... what did I just hear?" Januar thought, shocked.
Not only was Januar shocked, everyone else in the house felt the same way because they never expected that the grandson they loved was not the biological child of their eldest son, causing anger to flare up in everyone.
Arto’s face flushed red with anger. Atri bit her lower lip, her hands clenched tightly.
"It’s impossible... impossible..." Atri whispered with a trembling voice.
"That woman has no shame. She even dared to do bad things in Uncle’s room with that man. If we go there now to catch them, it’s not too late because they are just about to start, leaving their two children playing alone in the living room with the maid," Liona continued in her heart.
Liona’s next words made Januar’s neck muscles bulge as he clenched his fists tightly at his sides. His face flushed red as he held back his intense anger.
"How dare he..." January hissed, his jaw tightening.
Arto, who wanted to see his son-in-law’s immoral behavior with his own eyes, spoke up. "While Liona is here, how about we invite her to your house so she can get to know her brother? At the same time... we can see for ourselves," he said in a frighteningly cold tone.
"Okay, sir. Let’s go there now!" said Januar firmly.
Everyone hurried to Januar’s house in the car that the man had brought. The atmosphere in the car was tense and filled with pent-up anger.
Liona, who felt that she would soon see the excitement, was of course very enthusiastic and a big smile continued to spread across her face.
"When we arrive, we should go to the neighborhood chief’s house first to report them so they can receive social sanctions from the residents. Coincidentally, there is a cooking demonstration at the neighborhood chief’s house, so we can bring a large crowd to break in. Let all the residents know what they have done!" Liona suggested silently.
Hearing Liona’s muttering, Januar, who was about to arrive home, stopped his car to turn in a different direction.
"Let’s go to the neighborhood chief’s house first," said Januar firmly.
"It would be best if Grandpa and Grandma quietly entered Uncle’s house first to secure the maid inside so she wouldn’t report it to Uncle’s wife, while Uncle, Mom, and Dad went to the neighborhood chief’s house to report it. That way they won’t have time to escape," Liona added silently, offering her strategy.
Everyone who heard Liona’s murmur immediately followed the beautiful baby’s arrangement. They nodded in agreement with the plan.
"That’s a good plan. Let’s go with it," Arto said firmly.
Arto and Atri got off not far from Januar’s house, just two houses away, while Januar, Lura, and Laus went to the neighborhood chief’s house to report the incident.
"Be careful, honey. Don’t let anyone find out," Arto whispered to his wife.
"Yes, sir. Don’t worry," replied Atri.
Not wanting to wake the sleeping tiger, Arto entered his son’s house through the garage door, which was next to the house and led directly to the kitchen. Their steps were very slow and careful.
Upon entering, Arto and Atri saw the boy they considered their biological grandson, Anang, playing with Toro, whom Liona said was his half-brother because they had the same father, Bana, who was now making love to Lala, his daughter-in-law, in the bedroom.
Arto’s heart sank at the sight. His innocent grandson knew nothing.
Narti, Januar’s housekeeper, was very surprised to see Arto and Arti arrive suddenly. Her eyes widened.
"Father! Mother!" he greeted nervously as he half-stood from his seat.
Seeing Narti about to get up, Arto immediately stopped her with his hand outstretched. "Just sit here, don’t go anywhere until Januar comes. Understand?" he ordered in a tone that brooked no argument.
Not daring to disobey Arto’s orders, Narti sat back down on the floor and kept company with the four- and three-year-old toddlers who were playing in the living room as before.
"Oh dear, what should I do? If I don’t report it, I could be punished by the lady of the house, and worse, I could be fired. But if I do report it, my parents will definitely be angry," thought Narti panically, her hands sweating coldly.
Atri, who saw Narti’s anxiety, immediately gave her a stern warning. "If you dare to get up from your seat, then you can pack your things right now because I cannot keep a traitor like you working in my son’s house! Do you understand?" she threatened with a sharp gaze.
"All right, ma’am. I understand," Narti said tremulously.
Hearing Atri’s threat, Narti suspected that her employer’s parents knew what Lala and her lover were doing in the room, so she chose to remain silent and not get involved because she felt it was none of her business.
Meanwhile, Januar, Lura, and Laus had just arrived at the neighborhood chief’s house, coinciding with the end of the cooking demonstration, which had attracted the attention of everyone gathered in the front yard. The women were still chatting animatedly.
"Oh, Mr. Januar is here to visit. It’s unusual for you to come here in the afternoon like this. Is there anything I can help you with?" asked the neighborhood association leader kindly with a big smile.
"Sir, is she home, ma’am? I happen to need to speak with her about something very important," said Januar politely but seriously.
"He’s inside. Please come in, sir. What’s the matter?" said the neighborhood association leader, inviting him in with a hint of curiosity.
Just as Januar was about to enter the house following Mrs. RT, who had disappeared behind the door, Liona’s inner voice stopped him in his tracks.
"This is serious! Mrs. Naomi, Bana’s wife, is secretly planning to run away with her husband’s mistress. It seems she already knows about the affair and is covering it up because she also benefits from the money her husband gives to Bana! Stop her immediately!"
January, who saw Naomi sneaking out of the neighborhood chief’s house, immediately spoke up loudly. "Mrs. Naomi, don’t run away! Because what I’m going to report has something to do with you and your husband! If you insist on running away, don’t blame me if I get rough with you!" he said threateningly in a booming voice.
Naomi froze when Januar called her name. Her feet stopped moving. What’s more, she found everyone staring at her suspiciously, causing her escape plan to fail completely.
"I... where am I not allowed to go?" Naomi said nervously.
The neighborhood chief, sensing that something was wrong with Januar’s expression, quickly came out to mediate. "Calm down, sir. We can talk this through, don’t let your emotions get the better of you. What happened?" said the neighborhood chief gently, trying to calm the situation down.
Not wanting to waste much time, Januar immediately announced the purpose of his visit loudly.
"This is a very important matter, sir! It concerns the future of my marriage! I hope you and the other mothers can come with me to my house to catch my wife cheating with Mrs. Naomi’s husband. I suspect that Mrs. Naomi already knows about this and deliberately gave them a place and time to commit adultery!" explained Januar, his voice trembling with anger and hurt.
Januar’s words suddenly shocked the mothers who were participating in the cooking demonstration that afternoon. Their mouths fell open.
Damn!
"Really?"
Oh my goodness, that’s impossible!
Although some people were suspicious of Lala and Bana’s closeness, which was considered inappropriate, Naomi continued to cover up their actions by claiming that they were just good friends, and the suspicions gradually disappeared.
"So our suspicions were correct all along," whispered one of the mothers to her friend.
"Let’s go there! We have to raid it!" shouted the other women in unison, ready to flock to Januar’s house.
