Phoenix Destiny-Chapter 384 - That bitch
Translator: Exodus Tales Editor: Exodus Tales
After Kuai Xin left, Lu Mingshu soon welcomed her third visitor, Tan Yubing.
She had just returned from a trip and only arrived at the nine jade palace yesterday night.
Upon knowing that Lu Mingshu had broken through, Tan Yubing sighed enviously. “Junior niece Lu is undoubtedly gifted. I’m so envious! Look at me, it’s been many years, yet I’m still at the same rank without any improvement.”
Tan Yubing was about Kuai Xin’s age, and both were unable to break through to the spirit realm yet.
“Don’t give up.” Lu Mingshu smiled. “Senior aunt Tan can still succeed if you persevere.”
Tan Yubing bitterly smiled and shook her head. “I was doing fine last time. But suddenly, I started to lag behind everyone else, getting stuck where I am now. Senior brother Kuai already at his peak, but I’m nowhere near mine, even though ages have passed.”
Tan Yubing closed her eyes in disappointment. When she opened them again, she saw Lu Mingshu holding a book in front of her. “Huh?”
“Take this.” Lu Mingshu placed the book in her hand. “It might help senior aunt Tan get past your bottleneck, so please don’t lose hope.”
“Ah? What do you mean?”
After half a day passed, Tan Yubing skipped out of the Green Jaded Valley in a good mood.
Lu Mingshu looked out of her room to see little boo talking animatedly to little daze.
“Ka! You can fly? Can you bring little boo up?”
“Neigh!” Little daze flapped its beautiful wings.
“I can make you nice food.” Little boo continued. “Like this chicken thigh.”
Little boo took out a chicken thigh from it’s bronze bucket.
Little daze immediately downed the chicken thigh within no time.
“I have an aqua Lingzhi as well!” Little boo took out more food.
In no time, little daze had finished it.
“Can you bring me up now?” Little boo’s eyes flashed with anticipation. “If you do, I can feed you every day.”
“Eek!” Little daze kneeled down.
“Ka! You agreed!” Even though it sounded robotic, Lu Mingshu could tell how excited little boo was with it jumping onto little daze’s back immediately.
Little daze then flew into the sky with little boo on his back.
Soon, Lu Mingshu could hear a robotic voice screaming. “Ka! So high up! This is fun!”
“Neigh!” Followed by little daze’s proud neigh.
“Faster, faster…..”
Within no time, the precious beast ferrying a bronze man could no longer be seen.
~Such a peaceful and happy life, but who would have guessed what’s going on underneath?~
Lu Mingshu had already planted the seed. Now, all she had to do was watch and wait.
…
Becoming an elder wasn’t just about changing her identity.
Unlike Liu Jizhen, who was now crippled, she received all the benefits that spirit realm elders did.
For example, she could choose to move anywhere else in the sect or read any confidential documents in the knowledge courtyard and receive better resources monthly…..
Lu Mingshu didn’t plan to move. She had gotten used to the tranquil Green Jaded Valley, and she enjoyed the beautiful view most of all.
However, the green jade valley wasn’t a good choice for cultivation. Thankfully, she had the heavenly wheel to help her with that.
Afterward, she went to the truth platform.
Courtyard leader Qi personally came to attend to her. “Junior niece Lu wishes to improve green jade valley’s geographical position? This isn’t simple. But ley line spiritual roots may work. However, ley line spiritual roots are rare, and those in the sect are all taken.” ~Even if they aren’t, you’re not the only one trying to get it either.~
“Are there any other methods?” Lu Mingshu asked. “There should be other supplements given to disciples who had just broken through a realm, am I right?”
It wasn’t difficult for her to improve the geographical position of the Green jade valley. She could source help from the heavenly wheel, and her problems would be solved. ~But since free resources are being given, why not just use them?~
“Ah.” Courtyard leader Qi understood what she meant and smiled. “Yes. A type of spirit is similar to the ley line spiritual roots and grows on ley lines. It’s called the earth spirit. It doesn’t work as well as the ley line spiritual roots do. However, it can still improve your geographical position by bringing the ley line’s spirits together. Every sect has some, and it’s the same for us. It’s in the west jade forest, and since Junior niece Lu has broken through, you are free to choose the one you like.”
“Where? And how do I get it?”
Courtyard leader Qi fumbled around the cabinet and pulled two items out. A map and a badge. He placed the map on the table and pointed to Lu Mingshu. “This is where the earth spirits are. Please take note that this map is confidential.”
Lu Mingshu took a good look at the map and nodded.
“This is a highly secure place in the sect. Other than our guards, we have a precious beast there, keeping a lookout. Hand it this badge, and it will let you in. But don’t take more than one spirit, or it will hold you down.”
“Thank You, courtyard leader Qi.” Lu Mingshu kept the badge safely.
“My pleasure.”
Seeing her exit the courtyard, Fu Mingxi’s who was here to get medication went over to courtyard leader Qi. “Senior uncle Qi, why was she here?”
…
On the other hand, the seventh truth platform was now in a mess. A group of people crowded around Fu Jingtao, rambling on and on.
“Senior brother Fu, you will soon lose your Alkaid star-lord position if there was nothing to be done about Xie Lianzhen! I’m going insane soon!” Qiao Haishu, the Alkaid star-lord, walked over to him, looking beat up.
“Senior brother Fu, he….he came over to the consultation hall and messed it up, driving my disciples crazy!” The Megrez star-lord, who wasn’t good at expressing himself, stuttered in panic.
“Senior brother Fu, Xie Lianzhen came over to beat up Yi Cheng! What on earth is going on!” The Mizar star-lord yelled over the other voices, trying his best to be heard.”
“Senior brother Fu, he also came over and snatched away all of our offerings!” The Phecda star-lord added.
Lastly, the Merak star-lord Tian Bo stood up and summarised the situation. “Senior Brother Fu, none of us will be here to launch a complaint if he did his duties and didn’t find trouble with us. We are going to retire soon, and there is no reason for us all to go against him. But look at all the trouble he had caused! How can we tolerate this?”
However, Fu Jingtao continued to sip his tea as if nothing was going on around him. He slowly placed his cup down and looked up. “Sure. But has he broken any rules?”
All five of them said nothing.
Fu Jingtao pointed at Qiao Haishu sternly. “How old are you? Five? Coming over to make a fuss just because your disciple whom you instigated to find trouble with lost?”
Qiao Haishu looked at him, upset.
“And you.” He pointed to the Megrez star lord. “The fourth clan, known for producing academic elites, was unable to beat him in a debate, yet you still have the face to let everyone know about it?”
The Megrez star-lord looked down embarrassed, while Fu Jingtao turned to the Mizar star lord. “I hope you had fun mocking him while he was wheelchair-bound because now you realize your disciples, who are well known as martial art elites, can’t beat him.” He raised eyebrows. “And he said that he went there to learn! Do you all not understand what learning means? Please come up with a better reason next time and stop embarrassing yourself; so many disciples witnessed everything!”
Fu Jingtao sighed and turn to the Phecda star lord. “And you!” He raised his voice. “I didn’t know that the seventh truth platform was so poor that our third clan had to get offerings from others! Oh, did you record the amount too?”
Lastly, he turned to Tian Bo. Fu Jingtao scanned him and waved his hand, leaving him some face.
“Whatever, it’s just a childish matter between the younger generations. Why report it to the queen?”
“Senior brother Fu….” Qiao Haishu shouted. “Who cares about his childish antics? But what if we don’t do anything about this and he thinks we are pushovers! The queen dotes on him; what will we do if …”
“Do you think that the queen is an idiot?!” Fu Jingtao held his head which was throbbing in pain. ~Oh god, even our disciples aren’t as childish as they are! Do they think they are still babies?~
Qiao Haishu wanted to say something, but he was interrupted by a disciple who dashed in, smiling widely. “Master! Senior uncles! Good news! That mad guy is leaving!”
