Chapter 340: Again

When the three of them made their move, the other participants made a move as well.

“How are you? Can you handle it?” After Yan Wugui knocked out a participant, he rushed over to Lu Mingshu.

“What?” seeing that he looked worried, Lu Mingshu retorted.

“You frowned.”

Lu Mingshu stopped her actions for a moment before she replied. “Troublesome.” She admitted.

“What is?”

“There’s too many distractions.” She said and glanced over at the participants in the sea of clouds. ”

The number of people here is too huge! All of their actions need to be taken into calculations.”

Yan Wugui pondered. “How about grouping them up?”

Lu Mingshu looked at him in shock. ~That’s just what I thought of, but….~

“It would be better, but the clouds would take up soul energy and attack the participants too.”

Yan Wugui nodded, and the three of them slowly moved to the center of the sea of clouds. On their way there, other than the participants who avoid them, they did not spare any who came against them.

The trio stopped under a big stone pillar, Yan Wugui suddenly clapped. “If there is too much distraction, then we should get rid of them one by one!”

Lu Mingshu stared at him blankly. Yan Wugui smirked and laughed. “Now, it’s my turn!”

In a split second, he passed the clouds and jumped up onto another stone pillar.

The pillars were of different sizes, the small ones are about three cubic meters, and the huge ones can be as huge as ten feet. The pillars were used to divide the space into smaller areas for fights.

There were two participants fighting on the pillar that Yan Wugui jumped onto. He immediately interrupted the one who was performing his magic spell and kicked him down the pillar. The other party was dumbfounded and stood there surprised. Before he could react, a sword light appeared in front of him, the other party reacted fast and used his sword to block the attack. However, Yan Wugui is too strong for him and he was pushed down in no time.

After getting rid of these two, Yan Wugui immediately went to another pillar.

This pillar was way bigger than the previous pillar, and there were four cultivators there. He intervened in their fight suddenly and before they could react, he pushed one of them down. The other three realized that something had gone wrong, and they joined forces immediately.

However, what they least expected was that Yan Wugui would turn around and run away!

The three of them stared at each other in confusion, and soon, they heard another scream, unsure which unlucky guy had been chosen by Yan Wugui this time.

“Jiang Yuan’s jaws dropped at what she had seen. “Miss Ji, your elder brother….”

She thought she was aware of how strong Yan Wugui is, but Jiang Yuan never expected him to be…..

It took awhile for Lu Mingshu to register what happened. She burst out in laughter after realising. ~Yeah, this is exactly what Yan Wugui would do. He is very fast and strong, and has fast reactions. The method that suited Yan Wugui the most would be ambushing.~

“Ignore him, let’s continue.”

She looked up at the pavilion again. The other three princes were no longer at the pavilion, and there was no one left.

Lu Mingshu took in a deep breath and got herself mentally ready to focus on the battle.

She slowly built up the model and inserted data in at a fast speed.

At the start, she rarely gave Jiang Yuan commands, and allowed her to fight as she wished.

Jiang Yuan didn’t make a single comment. Lu Mingshu already proved herself in the previous battle, so Jiang Yuan trusted her fully.

Lu Mingshu and Jiang Yuan was having a great time, while Yan Wugui was causing a total mess.

“Who the hell are you?”

“Get lost you asshole, or I’ll—ah!”

“Guys, let’s go team up against him!”

Yan Wugui felt like someone who’s just here to look for trouble. He had intervened in many fights and ambushed many people. In no time, he angered the crowd and many of them teamed up to go against him.

However, Yan Wugui was well known for being sneaky. Sensing that something wasn’t right, he started to run around the sea of clouds, bumping into participants here and there and within a few minutes, he angered a huge number of people which led to a huge group of people chasing him around everywhere.

At the start, Jiang Yuan could still feel the pressure from this competition. But as time passed by, her competitors got lesser and she was starting to have an easier time. When she looked over to realise what’s happening, Jiang Yuan was unsure whether to laugh or cry. “Erm, miss Ji

…”

“Leave him be.” Lu Mingshu waved her hand. “Continue.”

“Sure.”

Jiang Yuan leaped onto another stone pillar, “piak” she heard an explosion and a ray of light shot up at her from below the stone pillar.

She reacted fast and jumped up high, dodging the ray of light.

“Move back!” Lu Mingshu yelled, being used to listening to her command, Jiang Yuan moved back on instinct and with a “boom” the light turned into a thunder ball and went towards her.

Jiang Yuan bit her lip and immediately formed an ice shield. The thunderball smashed on the ice shield and cracked into many small pieces.

Lu Mingshu slashed up towards her with her weapon. The sword light dash towards the debris of the thunder ball and collided into it, and both disappeared in the air immediately .

Both of them looked at each other in fear and bit their lips.

“Prince Jiang, are you okay?”

Jiang Yuan stood up and brushed her clothes. “My legs are numb.”

“Let’s take a rest first.”

“Okay.” Jiang Yuan plopped down to the floor and applied some ointment to her legs.

Lu Mingshu sat by her side to keep an eye out. Thanks to Yan Wugui who had already attracted a huge group of participants, there weren’t many left here to fight them. There’s only one or two who were fighting them and when Lu Mingshu had made them retreat, Jiang Yuan had already recovered.

The both of them started going towards the heaven core slowly.

At first, both of them thought that the previous incident was just by chance. But when the clouds fully aimed at Jiang Yuan again, both Lu Mingshu and Jiang Yuan sensed that something was out of place.

“There’s somebody going after you?”

Face as white as a sheet of paper, Jiang Yuan held onto Lu Mingshu as her legs felt weak. She looked up, turning green and laughed at herself. “Wow, I did not know that I’m so important that there is somebody who would be willing to pay such a huge price to attack me so many times during the debate!”

Lu Mingshu stared at her for a moment, and decided to be straightforward with her. “Prince Jiang, we are on the same boat right now, there’s no need for you to lie to me. You should have guessed who’s the one behind all this by now, am I right?”

After staring at the floor for sometime, Jiang yuan sighed. “It’s nothing to do with the debate.”

“He or she is trying his best to kill you right here and yet it’s nothing to do with the sea of cloud’s debate?” Lu Mingshu raised an eyebrow, and glanced at the participants around her. “Everyone here is a suspect right now, who do you think has the biggest possibility?”

“…”

“If you are unwilling to tell me, then I’ll guess.” Lu Mingshu shrugged. “It’s either for benefit or internal conflict. The first possibility would be someone who wants the Jiangs to fall. You are the most outstanding disciple from the Jiang family, whoever that’s going after your family would go for you too. Secondly, someone from the Jiang family. You came back after years and shone brightly, successfully becoming Prince Jiang must have out done many peers and some who would have potentially shone if not for your existence. Lastlt, Elder Miss Nie, or another enemy you have made in your life.”

Seeing how persistent she was, Jiang Yuan sighed and spilled the beans. “Elder Miss Nie and any of my enemies aren’t that powerful to do such things. Now, Yun Jing is in a complicated state, and I believe it is one of the other aristocratic families.”:

“Aristocratic family?” Lu Mingshu furrowed her brows. “To be powerful enough to intervene in the debate, they must have sent their disciples in too, right?”
