On the day Feng Feiyan gave birth to a daughter, An Yiqing happened to be at An Jing’s place, planning to return to the Imperial City once Su Yuxin’s baby finished the three-day post-birth ritual.

"Then why are you asking me? Even if I like a girl and want to marry her, I have to wait for Second Brother to marry first." An Yiqing truly believed that marriage should follow traditional order; he couldn’t marry before his unwed older brother.

"Why do I feel like you’re a bit gleeful over this?" An Jing glanced sideways at her third son.

"Well, it’s his stubbornness causing him this trouble." An Yiqing didn’t sympathize with his Second Brother at all.

If he were his Second Brother, he would not only pursue Huo Qingyi actively but also clearly express his feelings for her. How would Qingyi know he likes her if he doesn’t communicate it?

Unfortunately, his Second Brother stubbornly chose to wait for Qingyi to realize it herself, believing it’d be embarrassing to confess his feelings directly.
