243 Chapter 242: Tyrant

Armanthos descended the blood mountain through the path created from it with a pale and ghastly look on his face. He had predicted a lot of things all through his life including his current position but he never thought of a day when Damon will abandon his people.

But then again, who is he to blame the death mage?

After all the effort put into uniting the world and even giving up the chance of becoming a lone emperor but decided to share power amongst every race present and everyone who he believed deserved to have a say in the matters of the empire yet they all turned on him and secluded him from the rest of the world.

From his people!

“I guess he still refused,” Gin asked with a calm smile. By his side are two youths of about the same age.

They were male and female that shouldn’t be over eighteen years and all dressed in blue robes just like their master who had his face covered with an Azure Blue Dragon mask.

“If any of us were in the same situation, would we agree?” Armanthos rolled his eyes in response.

While Armanthos treated the two like air even though they are successors of the host of force, he failed to realize how infuriating his words were to the lady by Gin’s side.

“Who the hell does he think he is? What my master wants, my master gets, regardless of who he decides to ask!” Her words but what happened next shook her soul.

.....

Boom!

A darkish green bolt of lightning descended from the heavens intending to obliterate her on the spot. The immense power from it was the type that would destroy everything in its path but it was stopped by a mighty blue barrier that formed a sphere around the trio.

Boom!

The barrier slowly crumbled and phased out of existence, leaving behind the girl so deeply shaken she couldn’t remain to stand. She had completely wet herself due to fright!

“I can understand you not wishing to join the war but laying your hand on my people will result in a war between us… Just like you, I value my subordinates” Gin said casually with a normal smile but his voice spread far and wide, reaching the peak of the blood mountain.

Xiu!

Suddenly Gin paled and he felt two pairs of eyes fall on them. Within the cold dark eyes was a bright golden light shining so bright, it looked abnormal.

Damon was still suffering from the effects of the suicidal attack from the enemy.

“Heh! If it should come down to a fight… you will lose… if you bring that entire sect of yours, you will lose… if you bring the other new gods and their subordinates you will lose. If you bring this empire together you will still lose…. Regardless of what situation and condition, you have always been beneath me, and it will always remain that way… I created this heaven you live in with my sweat and blood. I can and will take it away when the time comes...If you doubt my words, you are free to walk up the blood mountain and face me, if not go home” Damon’s cold and aloof voice rang, causing Gin and his subordinates to frown.

The two looked toward their god with anxious eyes as if they wished for see what he would do.

Hmph!

Gin snorted disdainfully after viewing the blood mountain for a short while and without hesitation, he turned around and left leaving his subordinates stunned!

They all saw it!

The fear In his eyes!

Wasn’t the death mage supposed to be weakened?

Aren’t these current hosts meant to be at his level now?

Yet, why are they scared of him?

Why won’t the empire gather and force the palace of death to get involved in the war?

“They can’t? No one can force Damon Ross to do anything. Even if the world should rally tomorrow they will all fall tomorrow! There is a reason Damon has never fought a war of more than a day… There is a reason he is hated yet his undead soldiers still act as the police of the empire… you can take away the empire from Damon Ross but you cannot remove Damon Ross from the empire… understand that and you may live longer” Armanthos said with a sigh as he saw the expression on Gin’s subordinates.

For the sake of the new gods, all he can do is stop a war that will lead to the death of all the new gods and probably every high official in the empire.

The two trembled at Armanthos’ words and quickly ran away with hints of disdain and disbelief in their eyes.

They all assumed Armanthos was simply making a mountain out of an Anthill. They refused to believe Damon was this strong, especially considering the fact that their masters were on par with him in terms of power. What these people failed to understand was that Damon represented death and all the dead and their powers are his.

Right now, he was practically a combination of the host of destruction and the host of Storm since he had their power within which sets him above every other host. Talk less of the countless souls he has consumed over time.

He was not a force a single person can ever hope to deal with…

But that didn’t mean he can be dealt with numbers.

Thinking about it now, Armanthos couldn’t help but shiver in fear. He couldn’t tell what was worse, fighting Damon alone or with an army.

The power of death is far beyond what anyone can ever hope to deal with!

Just the thought of it is enough to make someone like Armanthos feel uncomfortable and talk more about those around him.

These kids were born early and not even up to eighteen. They didn’t see the war happen, or at least if they did, they were too young to comprehend what happened.

That’s the reason they dare act confidently in stupidity….f𝗿𝗲e𝒘e𝚋n૦𝘃𝙚𝑙.com
