Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife-Chapter 2067 - 547: Homecoming (Bonus - 1)
The four people shook their heads wistfully. An Zisheng glanced at his precious daughter and sighed softly, "The two female tyrants at home refused to serve us food, insisting on waiting for you to wake up. We were all starving, so your mother gave me a glass of water. She said, ’Drink more water; it will stave off hunger.’
Drink more water... stave off hunger...
An Yiqing thought, what her mother said made perfect sense...
Not long after, a steaming and fragrant dinner was ready, and coincidentally, Tiezhu also returned from the Medicine Sect. The family enjoyed a lively and sumptuous dinner, expressing their longing over the past month.
As for An Yiqing, she shared some interesting stories that happened at the Dragon Clan during this time. When they heard about Little Red Snake breaking the seal and transforming into a Purple-Gold Divine Dragon, the An Family exclaimed in amazement, expressing the wish to see what a real dragon looks like one day.
After dinner, An Yiqing chatted with the An Family until late before returning alone to her villa.
The villa was quiet and dark. From the outside, it appeared lonely and pitiable under the night sky, seemingly yearning for its mistress’s return.
An Yiqing took out her key and unlocked the villa’s main door, stepping inside.
The warm yellow lights came on, and familiar arrangements greeted her eyes. An Yiqing switched off her shoes and clothes and went up to the second floor.
The bedroom was exactly as she left it; nothing had changed. Next to the pillow lay the book she was half-way through reading, and on the vanity table, the incense she had mixed was still there with its lid open. The nightgown she casually tossed on the sofa before leaving remained untouched. Everything was just as it was before she left.
An Yiqing did not suspect Gu Yelin’s absence overnight; she understood it was deliberate on his part.
Gu Yelin, being slightly obsessive about cleanliness, kept his space spotless and dust-free when living alone. However, after they began living together, An Yiqing never had to worry about housekeeping as Gu Yelin neatly took care of everything. But the items An Yiqing casually placed around the room were left untouched by him, perhaps because he felt this was how her presence was confirmed.
Gu Yelin indeed thought so; he didn’t want to tidy away anything related to An Yiqing, as he felt it better reflected that she was always home.
With a pang in her heart, An Yiqing sniffed and took a nightgown from the closet, heading to the bathroom.
An hour later, she emerged wearing the nightgown, casually draped in a shawl, and headed to the living room.
The TV played the most popular variety shows of the time. An Yiqing lay on the sofa, absentmindedly watching. As she continued, her eyelids slowly drooped until she eventually fell asleep.
After some time, the villa’s door made a soft noise as a pair of black leather shoes stepped into the entrance.
Gu Yelin finished his military duties late at night. Learning from the An Family that An Yiqing had already left, he hurriedly wrapped up work and drove back. Before reaching the villa, he spotted its warm lights glowing amidst the deep night, instantly softening his cold eyes and hard features.
Eagerly, Gu Yelin parked the car and opened the door. The entrance light was off, but the TV’s flickering screen in the living room still lit up the space.
Gu Yelin changed his shoes and shed the coat permeated with the night breeze, striding into the living room. However, upon seeing the figure on the sofa, he instinctively paused.
Standing there fixated, his dark, narrow eyes locked onto the figure, filled with an unyielding tenderness and longing. Gentle footsteps carried Gu Yelin to the sofa, where he slowly crouched down, strong legs folding gracefully.
Under the soft lights, An Yiqing slept deeply. Perhaps it was the exhaustion these past days, or maybe the peace of being home, but she let down her guard and didn’t notice anyone approaching. Her silky hair lay softly against the sofa and shoulders, her right arm cradling her head as her left hand gently rested under her chin, making her look incredibly small and delicate on the sofa. Under her cascading locks, her porcelain-like face revealed no pores under the lights; her usually lively eyes were now tightly shut, their long lashes casting a fan-shaped shadow. Her petite nose stood elegantly, the tiny hairs on it emitting a pearly white under the light. As she slept, she lost her usual composed and calm demeanor, replaced by whimsical grace and charm. Her slightly parted pink lips occasionally moved unconsciously as if dreaming.
Gu Yelin remained crouched, his dark eyes unblinking, unable to tear away from her.
After some time, he paused, noticed An Yiqing wearing a thin dress, and frowned slightly. His gaze deepened as he stood up and went upstairs, soon returning with a thin blanket.
Carefully spreading the blanket out, he meticulously covered An Yiqing with it and sighed in relief upon seeing she hadn’t woken up.
Then, once more, he crouched beside her, leaning quietly against the sofa, his gaze unwaveringly fixed upon her peaceful face.
After an unknown period, An Yiqing drowsily awoke from her dream. Under the dim lighting, she seemed to recognize a familiar handsome face. Blinking in bewilderment, her thoughts slowly unfurled.
"Ah Lin?" she called uncertainly.
"Mm," the man replied, his voice low.
An Yiqing yawned without any regard for her image, "When did you come back?"
"A little past one in the morning."
"What time is it now?" An Yiqing sat up shakily from the sofa, unaware that the strap of her nightgown had slipped down.
Watching that jade-like shoulder gleaming like a pearl under the light, the man’s dark eyes deepened slightly, as if brewing a stormy sea. His voice was tinged with a hint of huskiness, "It’s two in the morning."
"Hmm?" An Yiqing twisted her body drowsily, "Did I sleep that long?"
As she twisted her body, the white strap slid down further.
Gu Yelin’s eyes darkened completely, those dark eyes seemed like a stormy sea ready to devour the little woman who was unwittingly teasing him.
With a stretch of his strong arm and a swift move of his long legs, An Yiqing was pulled into his embrace.
An Yiqing was startled awake, about to scream, but the man precisely captured her lips, swallowing all her cries in a furious and passionate kiss.
Gu Yelin held the woman in his arms tightly, wishing he could embed her into his bones. To him, this one month felt like years apart. He missed her, missed her madly. Every night he returned to the bed they shared, inhaling the scent that belonged solely to her on the pillow, her every frown and smile flashed in his mind, and the longing in his heart grew wildly in the silent night.
Now, he could finally, truly touch her.
With a sway of his body, they arrived at the bedroom. She was gently placed on the bed, and Gu Yelin’s tall figure pressed down.
The room was filled with tenderness, the amorous sounds made the moon outside the window shy away into the clouds.
...
Warm sunlight streamed into the room through the window, spilling onto the white bed.
On the slightly messy bed, inside a light blue quilt, two people held each other tightly.
Gu Yelin had woken up early, his hair tousled from sleep hanging over his eyes, softening his usual sharp and distant demeanor.
In his arms, An Yiqing lay nestled against his sturdy chest, her eyes closed in deep slumber. Gu Yelin pulled the quilt up, covering her exposed shoulder.
Just like that, Gu Yelin leaned against the bed, motionless, staring at the sleeping An Yiqing, his right hand gently massaging her body, relieving the soreness from last night’s intensity.
After a while, An Yiqing slowly woke up from her sleep. She opened her eyes in a daze, moved her body, and immediately winced in pain.
"Awake?" A deep and pleasant voice resonated through his chest into her ears.
The pain brought An Yiqing to her senses, she glared at Gu Yelin, silently accusing him of his misdeeds last night.
A low chuckle escaped Gu Yelin’s lips, the usually cold and heartless man smiled like blooming flowers, leaving An Yiqing stunned. She cursed inwardly at his captivating allure, glaring at him again.
"For the next week, you’re sleeping in the study."
Gu Yelin raised an eyebrow, his eyes darkened, and his whole being suddenly loomed over her.
"Sleep in the study? Hmm?" That "hmm" was enchanting, filled with ambiguity, stirring the imagination.
Seeing Gu Yelin pressing closer, An Yiqing’s expression changed, and her small hands hurriedly pressed against his chest, keeping him at bay.
"Tutu, do you really have the heart to let me sleep in the study?" Gu Yelin asked again.
An Yiqing’s eyes darted around in guilty hesitation, biting her red lips anxiously, "Not sleeping in the study is fine, but for the next week, you’re not allowed to... me." Her voice grew softer and softer.
