Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife-Chapter 2032 - 513: The Emergence (Part 2)
The Old Clan Chief was initially pleased to hear that Long Zixuan could restore his Dragon Force. However, upon hearing about the Sky Punishment Pavilion, his heart sank heavily.
"I’ve searched through the Dragon Clan’s historical records over the years, yet I found no mention of this kind of restraint. Despite living for over two thousand years, I can’t even protect my own grandson. Alas!"
An Yiqing frowned slightly, lost in thought.
"Grandpa Long, forgive my bluntness, but the Dragon Clan is currently divided. Even if you find a way to remove the restraint, it’s unlikely that Zixuan could secure the position of Clan Leader."
The Old Clan Chief nodded in agreement. "You are right, Girl Qing. What’s your opinion on the current situation?"
An Yiqing squinted her eyes. "Capture the leader, eliminate the rebels."
As she spoke, an icy pressure suddenly spread in all directions. The Old Clan Chief and Elder Jin were both shocked, seemingly not expecting An Yiqing to possess such a formidable aura of killing intent.
The two exchanged a glance, suddenly seeing more hope for the future. This ally of theirs appeared to be much stronger than they had imagined.
The Old Clan Chief, wise with age, said, "Girl Qing, as the Head Chief of the Dragon Clan, I formally request to form an alliance with you. Please help Zixuan, eradicate the Dragon Clan’s rebels, and restore peace to the Dragon Clan. From now on, as long as Zixuan and I are part of the Dragon Clan, we will do our utmost to support you as your most loyal partner."
A smile curled at the corner of An Yiqing’s mouth; she achieved the effect she wanted.
The old and the young talked happily, and An Yiqing’s vision and discourse impressed him. Any worries he previously held were completely dispelled as the conversation deepened.
That evening, the Old Clan Chief prepared a good spread of food and, in a rare occurrence, drank some wine. It was the most relaxed day he had had in decades, having reclaimed his grandson and gained a powerful ally. Regardless of the final outcome, at least today, he felt fulfilled.
They chatted into the early hours, and the slightly tipsy Old Clan Chief was assisted back to his room by Elder Jin. Hongye then escorted An Yiqing and her apprentice to their arranged quarters. As for Long Zixuan, Hongye initially intended to take him back to the Young Master’s residence, but Long Zixuan insisted on staying with Yin Xilin. Hongye had no choice but to comply.
Unexpectedly, Hongye’s actions indirectly saved Long Zixuan’s life.
The bamboo huts where An Yiqing and Yin Xilin stayed were closely adjacent, separated by only a meter. Lying on the bamboo bed, one could turn and see the starry sky outside. Although Langgesanu Peak was snow-covered year-round, the Dragon Tribe area was like an eternal spring, a true paradise.
Gazing at the stars outside and thinking of those in Xuandu City, An Yiqing felt drowsiness creeping in and slowly closed her eyes.
In the dead of night, a shadow appeared out of nowhere. A sharp gleam of sword light cut a glaring arc under the moonlight, mercilessly striking toward the person in bed.
Suddenly, a graceful hand appeared out of thin air, the short sword in its grasp firmly blocking the blow with a clear "ding" sound.
Yin Xilin, startled awake by the sound, opened her eyes abruptly, filled with killing intent. Simultaneously, Xiao Hong on her wrist awakened, its icy snake eyes fixing on the intruder.
"Roaming around here in the dead of night trying to kill, isn’t that too blatant?" An Yiqing forcefully wielded her Qingying Sword, turning to thrust at the intruder’s chest.
The intruder quickly retreated, counterattacking ruthlessly with their long sword, "You mere human dare act arrogant! This is the Dragon Clan’s territory. Leave immediately if you know what’s good for you! My target is Long Zixuan; don’t interfere!" The voice was low and indiscernible of gender.
An Yiqing let out a cold laugh, parrying the attack. Meanwhile, her left hand, fingers forming a claw, grasped towards the opponent’s shoulder.
"Long Zixuan acknowledges me as his master; he’s my family! If you want his life, see if my Qingying Sword agrees!"
With that, An Yiqing’s immense Inner Breath enveloped the Qingying Sword, forming a phantom dragon. Simultaneously, she executed the first move of the Shennong Nine Style.
Feeling the overwhelming pressure, the intruder muttered a curse and swiftly turned to flee. An Yiqing couldn’t allow them to escape so easily. She tiptoed swiftly in pursuit.
Meanwhile, three streaks of light—white, gold, and black—flashed by.
"Old Jin, make sure to protect them well!"
In the deep mountains, two figures chased each other under the dark night. An Yiqing, seeing the gap between her and her opponent narrow, glanced at the Luo Shui beside her, her eyes narrowing.
She directed her Qingying Sword towards Luo Shui, Inner Breath transforming into Dragon Qi, which surged into massive torrents, crashing towards the fleeing figure. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
Bang——
The individual in front was hit, becoming dizzy. An Yiqing swiftly advanced, her left hand reaching straight for the cloth covering the person’s face.
Unexpectedly, the opponent, not anticipating An Yiqing’s swift action, found themselves too weak to resist.
Just as she was about to seize the cloth covering the person’s face, a deafening roar resounded from the sky. Immediately, an enormous dragon of indiscernible color burst from the clouds, its giant claw grabbing for An Yiqing’s head.
An Yiqing was greatly startled; her steps stumbled, and her massive Inner Breath transformed into a Dragon You, confronting the giant dragon in the air.
Bang——Boom——!
A thunderous crash shook the heavens and the earth!
The giant dragon twisted three times in the air, its huge eyes revealing malice. Changing course, it grasped the masked individual with its enormous claws, vanishing swiftly into the clouds.
An Yiqing pursed her red lips, discovering for the first time that not being able to fly was genuinely a disadvantage.
The commotion caused earlier by the person and the dragon had been so great that the entire tribe had been startled, rushing out of their rooms.
Seeing the distant lights illuminate one after another, An Yiqing frowned, quickly vanishing into the night.
By the time everyone arrived, they only found a ground full of scattered stones and sand.
Returning to the Clan Leader’s Residence, An Yiqing saw the room bathed in light. As her figure appeared at the entrance, the Old Clan Chief, Elder Jin, and Hongye rushed out.
"Miss An, what happened just now?" Elder Jin asked anxiously; it had been years since such terrifying noises had been heard in the Dragon Clan!
An Yiqing didn’t respond immediately; she walked into the reception hall, glancing at the unharmed Yin Xilin and Long Zixuan, feeling a sigh of relief. She strode over to the sofa, picked up a water cup, and drank it eagerly.
The Old Clan Chief and the others looked eagerly at her drinking water, awaiting her explanation.
"Someone tried to kill Zixuan earlier, but I chased them off. That person wasn’t as strong as me. If a dragon hadn’t appeared halfway through, he would’ve been a corpse by now." An Yiqing’s tone was slightly displeased; she once again lamented her inability to fly.
The faces of the Old Clan Chief and the others changed dramatically. An Yiqing didn’t understand, but they did. The dragon that could cause such disturbance was definitely an expert!
"Was it the dragon that caused the commotion earlier?"
Facing the Old Clan Chief’s inquiry, An Yiqing calmly shook her head, "It happened while we were fighting, accidentally causing the commotion."
Once again, everyone gasped. Causing such a commotion in a fight indicated just how deep this girl’s strength ran!
"Girl, are you hurt? Is there anywhere you feel unwell?"
Upon the Old Clan Chief’s question, Hongye quickly nodded, "Xiao Qing, if you’re hurt, don’t hold it back. I have plenty of Sacred Healing Medicine here; don’t hesitate to use it."
Warmth spread through An Yiqing’s heart; she shook her head, "I’m not hurt, but it seems the dragon might have gotten a cut from my Qingying Sword."
With that, she raised the Qingying Sword. Under the light, the transparent blade bore a barely noticeable black smear.
"Is this dragon blood? Is the dragon’s blood black?" An Yiqing grew curious.
Suddenly, the Old Clan Chief’s face changed drastically, "Girl Qing, could you let me examine that sword?"
An Yiqing nodded, handing the Qingying Sword to the Old Clan Chief.
The Old Clan Chief gripped the Qingying Sword in his left hand, bringing a candlestick close with his right, observing carefully in its light. Meanwhile, Elder Jin leaned over, and upon seeing the faint black smear on the Qingying Sword, his face turned pale.
"Clan Leader, this..."
The Old Clan Chief slowly lifted his head, closing his eyes shortly, his face showing a touch of weariness.
"The Evil Dragon has emerged, signaling the end of the Dragon Clan’s fate!"
Bang——!
The fruit platter in Hongye’s hand fell harshly to the ground, stumbling back several steps, finally collapsing weakly against the wall.
"Old Clan Chief, are you saying... someone from the clan has cultivated into an Evil Dragon?..."
Her eyes appeared vacant, her gaze slowly moving to the Qingying Sword. The black blood on the blade wasn’t prominent but deeply unsettling.
The Evil Dragon, whose blood was black. Its emergence promises catastrophe for the Dragon Clan!
