Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife-Chapter 1877 - 465: Let’s Get Married! (Part 4)
After spending an entire afternoon lost in thought, An Yiqing realized that it had already grown dark outside.
Checking the time, it was past eight in the evening. For the past few days, Gu Yelin had been so busy with who knows what, up early and home late, with no trace of him.
Grumbling in resignation, An Yiqing patted her flat stomach and dashed back to her parents’ home to find something to eat.
However, when she returned to the An Family Villa, she was shocked to find that An Zhihang, who was always home at this time, was not there, and even An Zhiyan, who was on vacation, was missing as well.
"Mom, where are my elder brothers?" An Yiqing asked, looking around in confusion.
"Who knows where those two have run off to." Kong Shi complained while heating up food for An Yiqing, voicing her frustration with her sons, "Those two rascals have been up to something lately, getting up early and coming home late every day. Even when they do come home, I catch them sneaking in! Just the other day, they didn’t come back until after two in the morning. I was half asleep when I went downstairs for some water and nearly fainted when they opened the door. I thought burglars had broken in. I always say having daughters is better than sons, at least daughters are caring. Look at those two boys, they should just get married and move out! They annoy me to no end!"
An Yiqing blinked in puzzlement. Is everyone suddenly busy these days? Why haven’t I seen even a shadow of Ah Lin and my brothers?
Frowning, she considered the possibility that they were on some secret mission.
With no other choice, An Yiqing, feeling like an abandoned wife, called Tan Yulin, but after two rings, the call was disconnected.
What the hell is going on?!
An Yiqing stared helplessly at her phone’s dark screen, eyes wide with exasperation.
Fuming, An Yiqing could only hug her pillow and drift off to sleep on her own.
The next day, after a restless night, An Yiqing didn’t wake up until past nine. As soon as she awoke, she felt her left eyelid twitching incessantly.
"What’s going on?" she wondered, blinking hard in the mirror. Finally, out of options, she used a silver needle to poke at an acupuncture point, which eventually stopped the erratic twitching.
Looking at the untouched side of the large bed, An Yiqing’s face was filled with confusion. Ah Lin was gone the whole night?
It’s not unusual for Gu Yelin to be absent for days due to work assignments. But leaving for an entire night without even a word—something was definitely off.
This was a problem! A big problem!
Feeling a sense of unease, An Yiqing dressed and headed back to the An Family Villa. Upon arrival, she discovered that An Zhiyan and An Zhihang hadn’t returned all night either!
It was obvious. Those three must be together somewhere! How else could it be such a coincidence that none of them came home?
After thinking it over, An Yiqing decided to leave it be. After all, with those three together, and given their capabilities, they surely wouldn’t run into trouble. Perhaps men also have their own little secrets?
Her lips curled in a wry smile. The thought of Gu Yelin, a man of iron will, having his own little secrets was bewildering to An Yiqing.
After breakfast at the An Family Villa, An Yiqing’s phone suddenly rang. Checking the screen, she saw it was a call from Gu Tingting.
"What made you think of calling me? No classes today?"
"Geez, Qingqing, you’re so out of touch. It’s Friday, and Xiao Xue and I have no classes." Gu Tingting laughed brightly on the other end, "Want to go shopping? The past few days have been horrible with all the avalanches and kidnappings. Qingqing, come with us to lighten up, okay?"
Gu Tingting’s sweet, soft voice made An Yiqing shiver, and she agreed without hesitation.
The three girls met at the entrance of Xuan University and climbed into an Audi, hand in hand. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
Just as the Audi drove off, a taxi slowly pulled up to the university’s entrance. Zhou Xiaoyu, still looking a bit pale, stepped out.
Her forehead was wrapped in bandages, and, to not fall behind in her studies, Zhou Xiaoyu had pleaded with the doctors until they finally agreed to let her return.
As if sensing something, Zhou Xiaoyu glanced at the white Audi now far away, contemplating briefly before breaking into a relieved smile.
Why did she think that car looked familiar? Maybe the accident really scrambled her mind, leading to such wild thoughts.
After thanking the taxi driver, Zhou Xiaoyu picked up her bags and walked through the school gate, beginning her new life.
