Pampered By My Fake Boyfriend's Brother-Chapter 503: Leave No Regrets
"Go ahead, I’m listening," Meng Sihan said with interest, "Maybe I can even give you some advice."
An Yin was already in a state of hesitation, and Meng Sihan’s words sparked her desire to confide, "I’ve lived with my mom since I was little, and I’ve grown accustomed to a life without a dad. But every time I see others mentioning ’dad’, I feel envious."
At this point, An Yin paused, and Meng Sihan didn’t rush her.
Under the quiet night sky, the man lit a cigarette. The breeze from the sunroof occasionally blew across his cold, aloof face, and the smell of smoke lingered in the air, intensifying with every breath.
"Now, I have his contact information." An Yin sighed softly.
She didn’t continue to speak.
But Meng Sihan understood the meaning behind her words, "If you don’t reach out, you’ll never be able to let go in this lifetime?"
The man’s words caused a tremor in An Yin’s heart.
The topic of "dad" was a thorn in her heart. If she never met him in her lifetime, she would deeply regret it. After all, his blood flowed in her veins, a blood relationship she couldn’t escape.
"Don’t exhaust yourself internally; if there’s something you want to do, then just do it." Meng Sihan exhaled deeply, advising the young girl.
"Mm." It was as if An Yin had figured things out, and she instantly became energized and said, "Thank you."
Meng Sihan’s lips curled into a bitter smile; after hearing the young girl’s troubles, his mood didn’t improve much. However, that sense of emptiness dissipated halfway. He seemed to joke, "We seem to have quite the fate; how about I take you as my sister?"
An Yin’s train of thought couldn’t keep up with his rhythm for a moment. She recalled him saying that his father didn’t care for him, nor did his mother love him, and a trace of sympathy crossed her heart. The feeling the man gave her was quite peculiar; when she was with him, she felt very relaxed.
To be honest, when the man said this, An Yin was momentarily shocked, followed by a strange feeling in her heart.
"Not speaking means you agree?" Meng Sihan took a sharp drag on his cigarette, raising an eyebrow.
The young girl had a timid personality; with him protecting her, she could walk through life with confidence, no matter where she went. Perhaps the young girl didn’t know his true identity, or she wouldn’t be putting on such a reluctant demeanor when interacting with him.
"I’m an only daughter; I don’t know how to interact with brothers and sisters," An Yin muttered.
Her words were a subtle agreement to the man’s suggestion.
"I’m an only child too," Meng Sihan retorted, unwilling to show weakness.
"..."
When Meng Sihan said this, a genuine smile crept onto his lips.
On the asphalt road, cars roared past. Drivers going a bit slower couldn’t help but glance at the conspicuous luxury car by the roadside, which under the streetlights at night, shimmered with a bright white gloss. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

The next day.
An Yin yawned several times in succession when she got up. She had talked with Meng Sihan too late last night; if she hadn’t been so tired, he would have kept wanting to chat.
An Yin lay in bed, her eyelids drooping, truly reluctant to get up. After tossing and turning a few times, she dragged her weary body out of bed; by the time she emerged from the bathroom, she was already dressed.
Before leaving, she glanced at Shi Qing’s bed, which was always clean and tidy, even the desk was spotless.
After grabbing her bag and heading out, she hurried toward the cafeteria.
Yesterday, her mind had been entirely focused on whether to contact "someone," and she had forgotten to eat dinner. Now her stomach was growling with hunger.
For a change, she ordered a bowl of noodles, two small dumplings, and a cup of soy milk. Then, she carried her tray with a satisfied look to find a seat.
"An Yin, over here."
When An Yin reached the aisle and was scanning around for an empty seat, a clear voice came from the corner. She blinked and turned her head to see a classmate she usually had no interaction with waving at her.
An Yin offered a restrained smile in response and finally stepped up to sit in front of them.
"Cheng Yi, Wu Juan." An Yin glanced back and forth at the two of them.
"Please take a seat," Cheng Yi pointed to the spot opposite her.
"Thank you." An Yin’s smile was serene, as refreshing as a spring breeze, bringing peace to the mind.
"You’re welcome. We’re all classmates, after all."
Cheng Yi looked around and noticed several boys looking in An Yin’s direction. Being classmates with An Yin for years, she naturally knew An Yin’s influence and had once envied her beauty.
Wu Juan sat quietly on one side, watching Cheng Yi’s actions, feeling somewhat uncomfortable. In Wu Juan’s eyes, An Yin’s beauty was overwhelming, and being near her only cast Wu Juan in her shadow.
The three of them ate their meal absent-mindedly.
An Yin was truly hungry; after finishing, she left early.
Once An Yin was far away, Wu Juan pouted and lightly tapped Cheng Yi’s arm, "What’s wrong with you, getting involved with our ’beauty queen’? We’re not in the same league as her."
Wu Juan looked at the half-bowl of noodles left and had lost her appetite.
"Did you forget? Keke asked us to take care of her before," Cheng Yi explained, rubbing the spot where Wu Juan had tapped her.
Wu Juan rolled her eyes at Cheng Yi’s dramatic response, "What an exaggeration; it was just a light tap."
"Who doesn’t know you’re strong."
"You..." Wu Juan snorted. The two often bickered, and she wasn’t going to fuss over this small matter. But Cheng Yi’s earlier words did unsettle her, "Since when did you become so obedient to Jiang Keke?"
Cheng Yi saw the topic circling back and said gently, "Why, are you jealous?"
"Annoying." Hearing Cheng Yi’s teasing tone, Wu Juan snapped, "I’m just reminding you, Jiang Keke isn’t someone we should get too close to."
Cheng Yi put down her chopsticks, a thoughtful look on her delicate face, "What do you mean?"
The two had come to know Jiang Keke after dancing together at last year’s New Year’s Eve party. Over time, with frequent outings, they became accustomed to Jiang Keke’s generosity, as Jiang Keke always covered the expenses.
However, after school started, Jiang Keke organized another gathering. They assumed it would be like previous ones, just eating, drinking, and having fun. But once in the private room, besides Jiang Keke, there were several older, greasy, bald men.
Though the men behaved politely throughout, their unbridled gazes while the women sang made Wu Juan particularly uncomfortable.
Recalling the memories, Wu Juan looked at Cheng Yi’s carefree demeanor and left with a warning, "Keep your wits about you, or you’ll end up helping those who betray you count their money."
"Hey, what do you mean by that?"
"Exactly what it sounds like."
"You’re so unreasonable..."
