Pampered By My Fake Boyfriend's Brother-Chapter 495: Blind
On the way back to school, Shi Qing’s thoughts gradually became clear.
"The Bao Family?"
She quickly thought of a person, and instantly, her heart skipped a beat.
Bao Shaojin.
As the current head of the Bao Family, his status was always high and lofty. Previously, through An Yin, she had met this man a few times, and the impression he gave her was cold and distant, very unapproachable.
Shi Qing sat on the bus, gazing at the scenery passing by outside the window, somewhat lost in thought.
Bao Shaojin looked silent and taciturn, yet when dealing with An Yin, he was especially gentle and kind, something Shi Qing hadn’t expected.
If she wanted to further inquire about the Bao Family’s news, she definitely needed to get close to someone from the Bao Family...
Thinking of An Yin’s innocent and pure face, Shi Qing’s gaze drifted deeply into the sky.
Since her sister died, An Yin had been like a light in her life. She was the first person to risk her life unreservedly to save her, just like her sister.
Therefore, during this time of seeking revenge, she didn’t want to involve An Yin.
Shi Qing quietly leaned back in her seat.
For some reason, upon knowing that the man who bullied her sister was from the "Bao Family," she actually excluded Bao Shaojin from suspicion.
Perhaps it was because the man gave her too much of a righteous impression!

Inside the hospital.
On the second day, after finishing her injections, An Yin proposed to be discharged, muttering to herself in the hospital room for a long time.
After being flatly rejected by Bao Shaojin, she had no choice but to seek out An Ying, only to receive the same answer as Bao Shaojin had given, leaving An Yin upset, lying alone on the bed sulking.
These past two days, all she’d been drinking was bland and watery porridge. She was already in a bad mood, and with everyone joining forces to prevent her discharge, she felt even more depressed.
An Ying noticed her daughter’s sulky mood, which left her feeling uncomfortable, so she stepped out of the hospital room to get some air in the corridor.
As she turned the corner, she vaguely saw a familiar figure approaching.
She smiled slightly at the person, "Hello!"
The beautiful woman’s appearance was so striking that the nurse remembered her clearly. She nodded to the woman and was about to pass by when the nurse stopped, "Wait a moment."
An Ying looked at her in surprise, "Is there something you need?"
The nurse smiled broadly, looking at the corridor as people passed by occasionally. She quickly moved to the wall and quietly said, "I almost forgot to tell you something. I’ve been receiving messages from strangers frequently. I know they must be intended for you. I had originally planned to delete them, but I always have so much work to do, I never found the time. Do you have a moment? Would you like to take a look?"
After saying this, the nurse naturally took out her phone from her pocket, unlocked it, opened the messages, and handed it to her.
An Ying’s hands behind her back trembled slightly as the nurse mentioned this. Her eyes lowered, making it hard to guess her thoughts. Her complexion, already pale and clean, showed no difference from her usual appearance.
"Would you like to see it?" The nurse asked again after a while of silence, "I will delete the messages later. Also, I accidentally saw one of the messages, and the sender knew even my last name, indicating they looked up my phone number."
The beautiful woman herself didn’t know her last name, much less anyone else. So, there was only one possibility: the sender had looked up her number. After the nurse informed her of this, she saw a trace of panic flash across the woman’s face.
"He... he... he..." An Ying repeated as she took the nurse’s phone with trembling hands, looking at the yet unopened messages, reading one that her finger accidentally opened. It was a long text.
[Are you a friend of An Ying? The call suddenly got cut off that day, I’m so worried. I just want to know if my beloved is safe. Could you let me know, please?]
Upon seeing the words "beloved," An Ying’s eyes heated up. She bit her lip and cursed silently: Old fool, she was not his beloved!
Through a wall, An Yin saw a man sitting by the window with a tablet computer in front of him. His fingers tapped incessantly on the keyboard, his brows slightly furrowed, his expression serious. His profile was chiseled, with long lashes that fluttered like fans as he blinked...
Unconsciously, her gaze became bolder, staring straight at the man. And when he turned to look at her, An Yin was caught off guard.
Her lovestruck expression was completely seen by the man.
To ease the awkwardness, An Yin quickly sat up from the bed, hastily putting on her shoes, not even realizing they were on the wrong feet, then dashed toward the door.
Bao Shaojin paused his actions, with deep eyes watching the flustered and naive demeanor of the young girl, his inner knot slowly dissipating.
The very first second the young girl glanced at him, the man noticed!
It seemed the girl’s eyesight had finally returned to normal. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have taken a liking to someone as deceitful as Bao Cheng.
When An Yin reached the ward door, just as she opened it, she heard talking from outside. She peeked her head out, intending to call someone, only to see An Ying’s somewhat lonely back.
An Yin stood stunned at the spot, listening clearly despite the distant conversation not being loud.
Occasionally, noises echoed in the corridor.
After only reading a few messages, An Ying handed the phone back to the nurse, "I’m sorry, but I’ll trouble you to delete them later."
"No problem," the nurse replied briskly, unable to resist her curiosity, she asked, "Since your husband is keen on finding you, hiding isn’t a solution."
The nurse had assumed the person was her husband, as one of the messages she accidentally saw was filled with terms of endearment, which in her understanding equates to a husband.
"There are issues between us," An Ying said tactfully.
Matters between spouses were something the nurse was reluctant to pry into further, so she sincerely offered a word of advice, "Home harmony brings prosperity."
"Thank you."
"Don’t worry, I won’t reveal you’re here."
"Hmm."
Even after the nurse left, An Ying remained standing there, unable to regain her composure for a long time.
Upon seeing the messages, she had been suppressing the sour emotions in her heart. After the nurse walked away, she stumbled slightly.
An Yin, watching from afar, was about to rush over in alarm to help, but after taking a step, seeing An Ying support herself against the wall, she withdrew her steps.
The appearance of the nurse was deeply etched in her mind, making her emotions fluctuate like a roller coaster, climbing to the heights then plummeting to the depths.
To avoid An Ying sensing anything amiss, she tiptoed back into the ward, feeling lost, and shrank back under the covers.
