Pampered By My Fake Boyfriend's Brother-Chapter 478: Was it Wrong?
"Sister." Mrs. Su watched as her sister gradually lost control, frowning deeply. She forcefully grabbed the other’s wrist to stop her from hurting herself, "Sister, you were mistaken just now, you were mistaken..."
Mrs. Su softly and gently soothed her.
"Xiaohui, Xiaohui..." Perhaps the tension had exhausted all her strength, so upon hearing her sister’s soft voice, Xu Ming collapsed onto a chair, her head leaning back, eyes vacant, yet her words were peculiarly clear, "It’s her, it’s really her... Xiaohui, am I wrong?"
"Sister, wake up..." Mrs. Su firmly grasped Xu Ming’s wrists with both hands, looking directly into her eyes, "It’s all that bitch An Ying’s fault, not yours."
Mrs. Su’s voice was sharp, almost roaring.
Xu Ming’s once vacant eyes stopped on her sister, gradually regaining clarity, "Her fault?"
"Yes, it’s all An Ying, that bitch’s fault." Mrs. Su gently coaxed her, continuing, "If it wasn’t for her, would your husband throw you into a hospital? Would he move to the ’An Residence’? It’s all An Ying’s fault."
As she spoke, Mrs. Su’s eyes were filled with a mix of resentment and jealousy.
Hearing her sister’s words, Xu Ming’s eyes grew dark, mechanically repeating after her, "It’s all An Ying’s fault... An Ying’s fault..."
Seeing her sister muttering to herself like this, Mrs. Su felt a pang of deep pain and released her wrist, letting Xu Ming ramble on beside her.
After taking Xu Ming back to the Meng Family, Mrs. Su didn’t head home immediately.
The driver observed her reaction through the rearview mirror, noticing her bad mood, he dared not ask about the next destination.
In the dark night, shadows of trees flickered outside as gusts of wind swayed the branches, a few green twigs falling to the ground.
As the car drove by, it crushed the branches with a crackling sound.
"Has there been any movement from An Ying lately?" Mrs. Su asked while staring at the back of the driver’s head, her eyes revealing a hint of ruthlessness.
The driver nodded, replying honestly, "Nothing special."
Hearing this answer, Mrs. Su’s face showed dissatisfaction.
The driver sensed the strange atmosphere in the car and spoke again, "She’s been keeping to herself lately, it’s really hard for our people to see her."
"Hmm." Knowing their people had tried their best, Mrs. Su snorted coldly, "Take me home."
In just over ten minutes, the car pulled into the Su Family garage.
Mrs. Su stepped out, her high heels clicking on the floor, and as she entered the hall, the housekeeper immediately took her bag and coat.
Looking around the brightly lit hall, Mrs. Su asked, "He’s not back yet?" Her expression was indifferent, a touch of disdain hidden in her eyes.
She preferred the title "Mrs. Su" over Su Jianteng’s name.
So when she heard about Su Jianteng’s womanizing ways outside, she always turned a blind eye.
Although she didn’t love Su Jianteng and didn’t care how wildly he played outside, she had one unbreakable rule: he must not father illegitimate children outside, anyone who threatened her son’s status was absolutely intolerable.
The household staff, intimidated by Mrs. Su’s domineering presence, bowed their heads like frightened birds.
"Madam, Mr. Meng hasn’t returned yet." The housekeeper stepped forward to report.
"Very well."
Mrs. Su sneered coldly and went upstairs, but instead of going to the bedroom, she lingered at her husband’s study door. Staring at the closed door, she frowned and impulsively reached out to grab the doorknob.
"Thud..."
Upon touching it, the doorknob emitted a sound, quickly followed by the appearance of digits.
Meng Heming, during his free time, enjoyed staying alone in the study for hours, always brushing Mrs. Su off with excuses of work. Over time, she believed him.
Staring at the numbers on the handle, Mrs. Su tried the password twice without success.
Just when she was about to give up, a sudden flash of intuition led Mrs. Su to carefully enter a few more numbers, and the door surprisingly opened a crack...
Completely incredulous, Mrs. Su shakily pushed open the door. After turning on the lights, she saw the study had a simple layout. Apart from a wall of bookshelves filled with countless books, there was a magnificent desk by the window and a single bed for resting in the corner.
After surveying the room, Mrs. Su found nothing special, unable to understand why the man treasured this study so dearly.
The next moment, she stepped towards the desk. Opening several drawers, she found nothing besides a few pens until the last drawer, where the sight of white papers resembling documents caught her attention. She was about to close the drawer when the bold letters on the white paper drew her gaze.
"Parentage Test Report."
Mrs. Su felt a rush of blood to her head, freezing in place.
Frantically, she picked up the report, her fingertips trembling slightly as she touched the first page, her eyes filled with disbelief and covered with a layer of biting coldness.
As she flipped through the pages, she collapsed into the chair.
Heh heh...
Well done.
Su Jianteng, you’re ruthless enough!
The first gift for both sons upon birth was a "Parentage Test Report" from Su Jianteng.
So, despite marrying him, the man was wary of her all along.
Thinking of his actions, Mrs. Su felt a chill engulf her, goosebumps rising instantly.
After sharing a bed for years, she thought he had some genuine feelings towards her, but in reality, it was a colossal joke.
Squeezing the report tightly, she crumpled it in her palm, realizing that under the current circumstances, she couldn’t confront him. Mrs. Su suppressed her anger and returned the report to its original place.
Leaving the study, she appeared disoriented, devoid of spirit.
In the hallway, Mrs. Su saw the housekeeper standing aside, her gaze icy, "What did you see just now?"
The housekeeper, sweat beading on her forehead, hesitated, her mind racing before stammering in reply, "I... I didn’t see anything." Mr. Meng forbade anyone, even Mrs. Meng, from entering his study, something every servant in the Meng household knew.
"Smart of you." Mrs. Su cast a sidelong glance at the housekeeper, muttering coldly.
With her head lowered in fright, the housekeeper replied, "Madam, you handpicked me, and I naturally follow your lead in everything."
