Pampered By My Fake Boyfriend's Brother-Chapter 464: Do Not Covet
In order not to delay her studies, An Yin only stayed in the hospital for two days before firmly insisting on being discharged.
Since that first night when Bao Shaojin appeared in the hospital, Assistant Lin has been the one staying at the hospital thereafter.
These days, Bao Shaojin has been taken by the old madam to the Bao Mansion, ostensibly to discuss her birthday banquet, but everyone knew her true intentions.
Assistant Lin didn’t reveal a single word of these matters to An Yin.
Regarding Miss An’s request, Assistant Lin informed Mr. Bao, and after receiving the response of "may discharge," An Yin completed the discharge procedures early the next morning. However, she still needed to take some medication prescribed by the doctor in the following days, which was not a difficult task for her.

Bao Mansion.
In the lush back garden, the greenery was sprouting with vibrant green buds, symbolizing the revival of all things and exuding a vigorous youthful energy.
Housekeeper Liu carefully supported the old madam, her steps very slow.
Behind the old madam, a tall figure gazed at everything in the garden with cold eyes slightly narrowed, as if the splendid scenery was insignificant in his view.
"The birthday banquet need not be too grand, just a family meal is enough." Perhaps the steps taken were a bit too many, and the old madam’s breath was slightly erratic. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
Housekeeper Liu understood tacitly and helped the old madam towards the pavilion to let her rest for a while.
"Grandson will handle it." Bao Shaojin’s voice was not too high nor low, adding a hint of calm to his elegant demeanor.
"I’m assured with you handling it," the old madam nodded in satisfaction, "These past few days having you by my side, do you begrudge me?"
Under the thick ink-like eyebrows of Bao Shaojin, his deep eyes reflected a chilling coldness, "No, I don’t."
"That’s good," the old madam leisurely uttered, "The women outside are just for amusement, do not become infatuated with them."
The old madam abruptly dropped this sentence, causing Housekeeper Liu standing to the side to pause briefly, unable to resist glancing toward Bao Shaojin.
"Grandma, with your birthday approaching, there’s no need to worry about some matters."
On Bao Shaojin’s aloof face, a hint of coolness was faintly emerging.
This remark clearly showed his dissatisfaction with her meddling too much, making the old madam’s eyes turn cold, her face brimming with wrath as she looked at her grandson before her, "You..."
"Old madam, look who’s here," Housekeeper Liu’s eyes fell not far away, timely interrupting.
The old madam hadn’t finished her sentence before being interrupted, having no outlet for her inner anger. She was just about to scold Housekeeper Liu, though unspoken words remained so. Following Housekeeper Liu’s directed gaze, a familiar silhouette inadvertently caught her attention, instantly dissipating her anger without a trace.
On the serene path, Lin Lin walked in high heels, wearing professional attire that highlighted her curvaceous figure. Her delicate face, with her beautiful eyes glancing around, a smile rippling in her gaze, made her entire countenance appear so gentle and agreeable.
"Grandma Bao, Mr. Bao!" Lin Lin arrived under the corridor, her face brimming with a smile as she looked at the old madam, then momentarily hesitated when addressing Bao Shaojin, after all, his expression seemed terrifyingly somber.
"Lin girl, come over here." The old madam beckoned Lin Lin over.
Lin Lin approached slowly with a smiling face.
The old madam took Lin Lin’s hand, her gaze shifting back and forth between her and her grandson, then said, "As I said, just call him Ajin, ’Mr. Bao’ is too distant."
Lin Lin snuck a glance towards Bao Shaojin, seeing that he hadn’t cast a glance at her from beginning to end. Her heart grew cold, yet she still slightly curled her lips, smiling as she responded to the old madam, "Alright, Grandma Bao."
"Good girl," the old madam praised. When she saw her grandson displaying a stoic expression, her brows deeply furrowed, then she cast a glance at Housekeeper Liu.
Housekeeper Liu’s eyes fleetingly showed a complex emotion, then he spoke up, "Old madam, usually at this time you’d go to the Zen Room."
"My memory, almost forgot." The old madam feigned a face of realization.
"I’ll help you over." Housekeeper Liu extended a hand.
"Alright then." The old madam stood up and, after taking a step, looked at the two standing at a distance. Her tone gentle, she said, "Ajin, take Lin girl for a stroll in the garden."
The old madam’s intentions were transparent; Bao Shaojin frowned, coldly stating, "Miss Lin has been coming to the house more often than I have lately, surely she hasn’t not toured the garden."
"Ajin!" The old madam reprimanded sharply, preventing the opposite party from continuing with abrupt words.
Lin Lin stood by the old madam, listening to the gunpowder-laden conversation between the two. She swallowed her inner soreness, then strolled in front of the old madam, softly saying, "Grandma Bao, Ajin has many things to busy himself with every day. In rare moments of leisure, let’s not impose, let him be for a while."
Upon hearing Lin Lin’s words, the old madam was full of comfort, "I really didn’t misjudge you, you’re a sensible girl!"
The old madam’s words did not elicit a trace of joy within Lin Lin; she had been closely observing Bao Shaojin’s demeanor, a man whose aloofly proud face remained expressionless the entire time. As if to him, she was but a stranger; Lin Lin concealed her inner bitterness, respectfully gazing at the old madam, feigning a bashful call, "Grandma."
"Since Ajin wishes to be alone, you can come with me instead," the old madam’s gaze softened as she looked at Lin Lin.
"Alright." Lin Lin’s eyes moved slightly, her face revealing a hint of joy.
In this circle, there were not many women who could win the old madam’s favor, and even fewer who could be brought around by her. After all, this represented a kind of recognition.
"Let’s go." The old madam cast a glance at Bao Shaojin, then left along the pebble-paved path with Housekeeper Liu’s support.
Lin Lin intentionally waited until the old madam had taken a few steps before turning to face Bao Shaojin, "Ajin..."
"Miss Lin, please respect yourself."
The man’s eyes, sharp as an eagle’s, landed on her, and the words he uttered were exceptionally piercing.
Lin Lin felt embarrassed after hearing this, "Grandma Bao said I could call you that." She stubbornly brought up the old madam.
However, the man sneered coldly, "Since you’re willing to be a pawn for both families, I won’t stop you, but you’ll also have to bear the consequences."
His long narrow eyes gleamed with a cold, quiet light.
His words conveyed another meaning, encouraging her to rethink and to not be a pawn for the Bao and Lin families.
Transparent as Lin Lin was, how could she not understand the underlying meaning in the man’s words. However, with certain matters, once she made the choice, she had no room for regret; behind her, besides herself, lay the interests of the entire Lin Family. She couldn’t afford to lose! Besides, for now, the old madam was still her backing.
