Pampered By My Fake Boyfriend's Brother-Chapter 10 Sister-in-law
Chapter 10 - 10 Sister-in-law
Jiang Keke and An Yin, led by a waiter, found a corner and sat down, feeling a little anxious.
Even though Jiang Keke was Bao Cheng's girlfriend, she had never met his friends before. This was her first time integrating into Bao Cheng's social circle, making her very nervous. After all, the people in Bao Cheng's circle were either rich or noble, and to Jiang Keke, they stood at the top of the social pyramid.
Soon, the waiter brought desserts, fruit wine, and various delicate snacks.
Neither of them had eaten dinner, so they were a bit hungry at the moment.
Jiang Keke glanced at a distance, watching Bao Cheng blending in with those friends, feeling a hint of loss in her heart. She casually picked up a pretty-colored drink and took a small sip.
"Yinyin, this is so good," Jiang Keke exclaimed with her eyes lighting up.
It had a kind of fresh fruit flavor that he perceived as juice.
An Yin watched as her friend took a few more sips and nodded uneasily.
From the moment they stepped into the private room, she felt completely out of place.
An Yin's life had always been orderly, and she had never been to places like karaoke bars and nightclubs. Occasionally, when she heard others mention them, she always considered these places disreputable.
As she grew up, she gained a new understanding.
Not all entertainment venues are dangerous.
Just as An Yin was silent and looked nervous, Jiang Keke, beside her, picked up a small piece of cake, "Yinyin, try it."
An Yin couldn't bear to refuse her kind gesture.
Just as she was about to take the cake, the door of the private room was pushed open. A pair of long legs strode in with a casual swagger, and from afar, the man gave off an impression of elegance and charm.
Jiang Keke and An Yin sat in the corner, and the lighting was slightly dim, making it unlikely for others to notice them without looking carefully.
Once the man entered, he walked straight towards that group of rich kids.
After the man entered, everyone put down their wine glasses and stopped their noise.
"Yue Ge..."
"Yue Ge..."
"Yue Ge..."
The men and women gathered together instantly stood up properly, calling out respectfully, indicating that the man known as "Yue Ge" had an unusual status and position.
"Don't hold back, eat and drink as you please," Lin Yue said with a smile, glancing over the group of unruly youngsters and letting his gaze fall on Bao Cheng, continuing, "Acheng, the new store is good, keep up the hard work."
He had the demeanor of an elder.
"Thank you, Yue Ge, for the compliment," Bao Cheng's eyes filled with a smile as he heard his words, and then looked inquisitively behind Lin Yue, hesitatingly asking, "Is my brother... here too?"
Lin Yue naturally knew who Bao Cheng was referring to by "brother."
Bao Shaojin.
In the Bao Family, only Bao Shaojin could exert an invisible pressure that made people dread his "name."
"In the private room next door," Lin Yue replied in an unassuming tone.
Bao Cheng's face lit up with joy, and he was about to go over to say hello when Lin Yue stopped him, "You take care of your business."
Bao Cheng's smile froze, and he didn't ask further, nodding, "Alright, enjoy yourself with my brother."
"Mm," Lin Yue said flatly, "Your brother said he's picking up the tab for all the expenses today."
"Alright, thank my brother for me," Bao Cheng didn't hesitate either.
Just having Bao Shaojin appear here already gave him immense face, and Bao Cheng knew that well.
And his club's association with Bao Shaojin's presence would bring numerous unseen and intangible benefits, something Bao Cheng, being part of the Bao Family, was well aware of.
"Carry on," Lin Yue said to everyone, looking at them.
A few who were bold and had drunk too much couldn't help but shout, "Yue Ge, take care."
Lin Yue maintained a persistent smile, nodded, and as he turned to leave, he caught a glimpse of a petite figure in the corner, obscured by the lighting. He didn't pay much attention, thinking she was just someone's date.
In the corner, An Yin didn't dare breathe heavily. Just now, the man not far away had looked over in their direction, his gaze filled with inquiry. Fortunately, he left the room quickly. Even though she didn't know him, An Yin felt uncomfortable under others' scrutiny.
In another private room.
As soon as Lin Yue stepped in, he felt a chill.
He shivered and teased the man sitting at the center of the sofa, "Being young really is something!"
That bunch of young people had been having so much fun, whereas the atmosphere in their room was even duller than a gathering of old folks.
Lin Yue's words carried a trace of melancholy. After speaking, he walked to the bar in the corner, picked up a glass, and took a drink in one go.
"Are you sure you like 'young people'?" Bao Shaojin's dark eyes were calm and profound, and his words were highly incisive, particularly the last three words.
Sure enough, upon hearing him, Lin Yue only felt as if he had swallowed a bone stuck in his throat.
The one who backstabs you must be the one who knows you best.

Only a few people knew Lin Yue's hidden secret.
Unluckily, Bao Shaojin was among them.
Lin Yue simmered for a moment and asked the question gnawing at him, "Why have me show up to support your cousin?"
"Noisy!" Bao Shaojin casually rested his arm on the back of the sofa, sounding tired.
Lin Yue understood.
It turned out he found that bunch of brats too noisy, so he had himself make an appearance instead.
Lin Yue didn't mind and furrowed his brow, "Acheng opening a club is enough for you to personally lend support? This isn't like you."
In their circle, Bao Cheng wasn't the only one opening clubs, and usually, he didn't see his friend show up.
If something's abnormal, there's sure to be something fishy!
Lin Yue leaned against the wall, cigarette in hand, skillfully lighting it. As he exhaled clouds of smoke, he cast his gaze at the man opposite him.
Bao Shaojin didn't speak. He held a cigarette too, but didn't smoke it. The cigarette slowly burnt out until he felt a slight tingle of heat at his fingertip. Only then did he flick the butt into the ashtray.
Having known each other for many years, Lin Yue still couldn't decipher his friend.
He wanted to say something when his phone suddenly started vibrating with a "buzz, buzz."
Lin Yue took out his phone and, upon seeing the word "Sister-in-law" on the screen, his usual nonchalant face became abruptly serious. Taking the call, he turned away at once, his tone indescribably apprehensive and gentle.
Bao Shaojin lifted his gaze at that moment and, seeing Lin Yue acting so theatrically, was filled with disdain.
It took less than a minute before Bao Shaojin saw Lin Yue hang up the phone.
"Cough, cough..." Lin Yue feigned a cough, trying to cover his embarrassment, "Got something to do, I'll head out first."
Bao Shaojin's deep eyes met his.
Lin Yue, feeling guilty, bowed his head and walked briskly towards the exit.
Just as his hand touched the door of the private room, a casual voice drifted from behind, "The 'young people' calling you?"
Lin Yue's face turned dark as he slammed the door and left.
What kind of friend is this, always poking at others' sore spots!
Is he even human?
Break ties, must break ties!
The vast private room was exceptionally quiet with Lin Yue's departure.
