Chapter 33: Chapter 33 Clearly Very Low

Early the next morning, the man drove away directly and returned to Yun City.
On the way, Gu Jingchen received a call from Rong Hao.
"Boss, those two. What do you plan to do with them?" Rong Hao's voice carried a tone of inquiry.

"Hmm, how are they now?" Without Rong Hao needing to elaborate, the man knew exactly who he was referring to. His pale fingers rhythmically tapped the steering wheel as a calm, cold expression lingered in his dark eyes, and he asked.
"Boss, to put it very bluntly, the effects of the drug are quite strong. This Li Chengxi and Hu Ye are probably completely finished. The scene was utterly atrocious at the time. I sent you a video on your phone for your review," Rong Hao continued to report respectfully.
"Hmm, alright."
After hanging up the phone, Gu Jingchen's slender, fair fingers pressed play on the received video.
Just as Rong Hao described, the two men were groaning in agony. When the drug effects surged, their red eyes desperately sought each other out; when the effects wore off, their faces were twisted in torment, crying and howling terribly. Their bodily waste scattered across the KTV private room, it was revolting beyond words.
Even without needing a doctor's diagnosis, Gu Jingchen could already tell: these two were utterly ruined.
"Rong Hao, release them. Dump them out the back door."
Shaking his head, the corners of Gu Jingchen's mouth curled into a faintly icy arc. For a man with mild germophobia, the thought made his stomach churn, but anyone who dared touch his beloved little woman deserved nothing less than this punishment.
Thinking of this, a faintly steely chill crossed his lips, and a biting coldness resided in the dark depths of his eyes.
The man raised his firm arm and glanced at the diamond watch wrapped around his wrist. It was still early, and his beloved little woman was likely not awake yet. The corners of his lips tugged upwards as he revealed a gentle, faint smile. He then turned the car around and drove in the direction of Yun City University.
On the way, the man passed by a flower market.
"Calla lilies?" Gu Jingchen's lips pulled into a faint smile. He parked his car by the roadside, took long strides, and walked over to the display of calla lilies.
"Sir, are you looking to buy calla lilies? They're the best flowers we have! Beautiful yet solitary and elegant—it's a flower with a refined charm. It's perfect for gifting to a girlfriend, symbolizing courage in love and unwavering persistence. How many would you like to buy?"
The vendor, noticing the refined and handsome man standing before her, welcomed him with a bright smile.
"Alright, I'll take eleven." The man said mildly.
After paying, the man took the bouquet of eleven calla lilies and returned to his car. He lifted them to his nose for a soft inhale, savoring the delicate fragrance that almost made him dizzy. Gently placing the flowers on the passenger seat, he drove towards Yun City University.
Despite it being just a single day since he last saw his beloved little woman, the man would never admit how much he longed for her. Sitting in the car, his deep black eyes gazed at the second-floor dorm room where his little woman was. An overwhelming sense of tranquility and happiness welled up in his chest. Gu Jingchen glanced once more at the calla lilies beside him. Freshly picked that morning, each flower was at its most radiant and tender, just like his beloved—so delicate it seemed she could drip with sweetness.
Time slipped by unnoticed as the man sat there, watching her dorm room. Any little connection to her filled Gu Jingchen's gaze with unmistakable affection and yearning.
Until finally, the three girls finished getting ready and came downstairs.
"Brother Jingchen, what are you doing here?" Seeing Shang Xixia, the man, who had been sitting in the car, opened the door and took long strides towards her, standing directly before the young woman.
"Oh, well, I stayed with Jingyu yesterday. This morning, I stopped by the flower market and picked these for you. Calla lilies suit you very well."
The man sounded casual, but for once, the usually composed Gu Jingchen felt an unexplainable nervousness rise every time he saw his beloved little woman. Pressing his lips softly together, his coal-black eyes darted to the side in an effort to appear calm. Then, with his long, elegant fingers, he extended the flowers toward her.
"Oh, thank you, Brother Jingchen." Shang Xixia's stunning face held a trace of doubt as she nodded. Just like last time, the young girl wondered to herself—there's no morning market near here, is there?
Nonetheless, she accepted the flowers.
That aside, Brother Jingchen must really love Yun City University—he always seemed to appear here, even sitting in on classes.
"Gu Jingchen, your little "white lies" may be well-intentioned, but they're downright lame," Gu Jingchen muttered inwardly with a hint of self-deprecation as he lowered his head, his lips forming a faint, resigned smile.
But he couldn't take his eyes off the little girl before him. Today, she wore an asymmetrical dress, her figure exquisite and mesmerizing. Her skin was as smooth and white as snow, radiating a natural translucence. Even her calves seemed to gleam like they carried their own soft lighting. Her long hair was tied up into a simple bun, elegant yet playful. The sweet curve of her neck along with her delicate collarbones gave rise to endless thoughts.
"You girls are up so early. Where are you off to?" Gu Jingchen mustered all his self-control to remain composed as he asked the question.
"Boss Gu, we're going to grab breakfast, then heading to the conservatory. Xixia teaches piano to little kids, but our department doesn't have any pianos. So we're just taking advantage of the university's conservatory before formal classes start to get a few rounds of practice in."
Yu Tingting, brushing off her reverie, responded to him directly.
