Pampered By All In Different Planes-Chapter 263: After Kicking Away the Scumbag, the Aloof Buddhist Son Dotes on His Wife 63
Zhou Mingyu rolled up his sleeves, his brows and eyes lowered as he washed the sheets, removing the blossomed red stain before placing them in the washing machine and setting the timer.
Su Zhiruan clung to the blanket wearily, her snow-white shoulders exposed to the air, rising and falling with her breath.
When Zhou Mingyu came back, he gently lifted her blanket and lay down beside her.
Her breathing was very shallow. She had attended a banquet that evening, and now, after such an ordeal, plus it being her first time, she quickly lay down and fell asleep as soon as it ended.
Zhou Mingyu picked up his phone from the bedside table and lowered the air conditioner’s temperature a bit.
It didn’t take long for Su Zhiruan, who had fallen asleep subconsciously, to automatically snuggle up to him. Zhou Mingyu embraced her contentedly, and they fell asleep together.
But after just half a minute, Zhou Mingyu opened his eyes again. He reached out and gently touched the marks on Su Zhiruan’s body, suddenly feeling some regret for being too intense earlier, which made her so tired now.
He liked Su Zhiruan for who she was and didn’t care whether it was her first time, but still, during the process, when he entered, he had paused for a moment.
Zhou Mingyu’s eyelashes quivered lightly. In the end, he held her tenderly in his arms, not parting for a long time.

Even in her dream, Su Zhiruan saw scenes of Zhou Mingyu doing those shameful things to her.
Her never-exposed snow-white skin, flawless, was revealed for anyone to pluck.
The sky served as the blanket, the earth as the bed.
The mountains, rivers, grass, and trees all bloomed.
She carelessly sank into it, her consciousness scattering.
When she woke up the next day, her cheeks were still a crimson red.
"Ruanruan, good morning," Zhou Mingyu said upon seeing her open her eyes. He rubbed Su Zhiruan’s hair and closed his laptop.
"What time is it now?" Su Zhiruan yawned, but she didn’t get out of bed. Instead, she burrowed into the blanket, leaving only one eye to look at Zhou Mingyu.
Zhou Mingyu picked up his phone to check the time, "It’s still early, 7:30."
"I’m so tired," Su Zhiruan moved inside the blanket and her hand, by sheer coincidence, brushed against his abs.
In an instant, both of them stiffened.
Su Zhiruan quietly withdrew her hand. She looked at Zhou Mingyu’s expression and smiled ingratiatingly, "It’s still early, President Zhou, I’ll sleep a bit more."
Zhou Mingyu watched her little movement and unhurriedly put down his phone. He unbuttoned the first button on his shirt and leisurely said, "Ruanruan, since you’re awake, playing a tease and then running away doesn’t seem to be your style."
"I’m really tired," Su Zhiruan spread her hands out to show how exhausted she was. She yawned again, and tears welled up in the corners of her eyes.
But at this moment, she was completely unaware that the small gesture of spreading her hands had opened a large gap in the blanket. She was not wearing anything.
Zhou Mingyu’s eyes gradually darkened.
"Sleep," he said, getting out of bed. His forehead pressed against hers, he mused, "Conserve your energy, we’ll talk after you wake up, you know your boyfriend is very understanding."
Su Zhiruan: "..."
She couldn’t escape.
She was already lacking in sleep, and after Zhou Mingyu said those words, any remaining drowsiness completely disappeared.
"…Forget it," she conceded, "I can’t sleep anymore, let’s do it one more time."
No sooner had she finished speaking than Zhou Mingyu undid the second button.
What followed was a sweaty morning.

A few days later, Zhou Mingyu formally proposed to her.
Although they willingly loved each other, a proposal was not like a wedding to be announced to the world; it was a romantic moment that belonged solely to the two of them.
Su Zhiruan was invited to travel abroad with Zhou Mingyu, and in the lavender fields of Provence, he proposed to her.
The faint purple of the sky, the beautiful decorations, and Zhou Mingyu on one knee holding a ring for her—it was like a scene from a dream.
Su Zhiruan wore a white dress, and when the wind blew, the hem lifted slightly, making her look like an enchanting sprite amidst the flowers.
"A long time ago, I started to fantasize about this day, after I met you and realized I could no longer live without you," Zhou Mingyu, who had been standing with her, knelt on one knee and took out the ring. "There’s no grandeur, not many sweet nothings, but meeting you was a miracle."
"Marry me," Zhou Mingyu implored, looking deeply into her eyes, unable to bear the thought of anything else.
Su Zhiruan stretched out her hand, smiling as she said, "Yes."
After she put on the ring, fireworks and colored smoke rose in the distance, forming both her and Zhou Mingyu’s names in the sky, while another set of fireworks spelled out their names’ initials with a heart.

Su Zhiruan was curious, and she poked Zhou Mingyu, "What would have happened to the fireworks if I hadn’t agreed?"
"...There’s no backing out," Zhou Mingyu said, taking her hand.
Su Zhiruan clarified, "I definitely won’t back out, but I’m just curious. If I hadn’t agreed, would you still have set off the fireworks?"
Zhou Mingyu rubbed her hand and, after a moment of silence, explained, "I had a backup plan. If you hadn’t agreed, it would have been a different one."
"I want to see it," Su Zhiruan uttered without hesitation, looking at Zhou Mingyu with expectant eyes.
Zhou Mingyu indulged her and pressed another button.
On the other side, a group of crew members looked at the command with some confusion.
The boss had arranged for fireworks for his proposal, directing them to set off one version if successful, and another if not.
But now, having already launched the signal for a successful proposal, he was inexplicably setting off the signal for an unsuccessful one.
This left the crew members somewhat puzzled.
But despite their confusion, they still followed the instructions.
Thus, Su Zhiruan saw the fireworks meant for a failed proposal.
There wasn’t much difference, except that the failed proposal’s fireworks did not have their initials, nor a heart, just a firework shaped like a broken heart that flashed by.
Su Zhiruan laughed.
The two of them snuggled together, watching the fireworks in the sky.
After the proposal, Zhou Mingyu arranged for a meeting between the elders of both families to discuss the engagement.
Su Zhiruan’s parents still found it incredible, even suspecting they were hallucinating due to their old age.
"Ruanruan, are you really going to marry Young Master Zhou?!" Su Zhiruan’s father looked at the contact marked in-laws on his phone, his hand trembling, unsure of whether to add them.
Su Zhiruan picked up a piece of melon with a fork and placed it in her mouth, "We’re going to get engaged now, dad. Go ahead and add them, the Zhou Family is quite approachable."
"It’s not just your dad, I’m also afraid!" Su Zhiruan’s mother looked at the same friend request on her phone, feeling somewhat apprehensive.
Previously, they did not want Su Zhiruan as an object of marital alliance, hoping instead that she would find someone she loved who could take care of her. Thus, they thought to let her marry into a family with a lower social standing, and she chose Jiang Beiyu.
But in less than a year, Jiang Beiyu’s reputation was ruined; their daughter saw the truth, took over the company on her own initiative, and now managed the entire business efficiently and successfully. She even found the only son of the Jinghua Zhou Family, Zhou Mingyu, as her boyfriend, and now, they were already preparing for their engagement!
"Mom and Dad, don’t worry, the Zhou Family is probably more nervous than you," Su Zhiruan confidently comforted her parents as she stood up, "Now, for the sake of your daughter’s future happiness, be bold!"
