Overpowered Wizard-Chapter B4 Ch5: Another Super World
<Your skill, Parasite Phantom +3, leveled up from 70 to 90!>
“Well, well, would you look at that,” Zarian said. “It makes me wonder what you’ll become with the next advancements.”
Would Para evolve again? Taking on a new form?
Once Para finished devouring the entire core, she looked at him, as if expecting him to feed her another one. Wow, what a glutton.
He was about to laugh when the dungeon faded out of existence around them. They were thrust back into the sweaty and claw-heavy Super World.
Instead of letting gravity take over, Zarian flipped up above the canyon of mountainous claws and thick steam blankets. He waved at the hivelings before sending them into the void where they could hang out until he needed them.
The shade spiders glided through the steamy air on inky boards made of their spider webbing. Their mission was never finished, so they saluted their god and goddess as they flew off to the next adventure.
As Zarian and Para floated in the air, the wizard noted there were more changes that the scaly woman was going through. Her scales looked a little more pearly than before. When she wasn’t looking at him, she was staring off into the distance.
Was she seeing things that only she could see?
Zarian knew he had some new gains waiting for him in his notifications. But he wasn’t quick to look at them.
From this point, he might as well stock up on growth potential. By the time the tournament ended, he would get a hell of a lot from the stockpile.
He was already coming out as the fully powered Dark Emperor, anyway. It only seemed fair that he held back from growing too much during the tournament.
As steamy thunder clouds flashed with jagged lightning in the distance, Zarian sat in the air in the lotus pose. Para did the same, her four hands brought together in her lap. She had her eyes closed as she meditated on her own changes.
Zarian kept watching her from head to toe. She had more weight on her now.
Not in just raw power, but in … spirit?
Interesting.
When he checked her position as a skill connected to his soul, her runes were so bright and complex they were actually hard for him to read. She wasn’t as immense as the ultra skills, but she was growing to be something else for sure.
“I think I can be more than this,” Para said, eyes still closed.
“Oh, yeah?” Zarian asked.
“Yes, I’m very certain of it now. The Super Dungeon Core wasn’t just delicious, it was filled with knowledge. The information was strangely easy and satisfying for me to extract, like it was natural for me to consume it. Maybe that’s part of my nature as a Parasite, but instead of eating my host, I’m devouring the tools and powers of the Star System from within.”
After listening to all of that, Zarian wondered if Para’s situation applied to his own life. He even entertained the idea of Para consuming Ariana’s power to weaken The Dragoness.
He soon tossed the idea aside. It wouldn’t work.
Para opened her green eyes. She extended her hand and summoned a few boar monster corpses from her pocket dimension. With a quick application of sorcery and power, she skinned them, tanned the leather, and crafted more proper clothing than Zarian’s rush job.
They both ended up wearing soft-feeling shirts and bottoms. Though in Zarian’s case, he got boots out of the ordeal, and his fit was more modest.
Para left her feet bare and had a large opening that revealed her cleavage.
Zarian narrowed his eyes. “What’s with the hot girl look?”
“Just because I’m uninterested in sex doesn’t mean I shouldn’t conform to promoting this body’s gracious advantages,” Para said, all four hands gesturing at herself proudly. “Besides, if my enemies end up distracted by taking a peek at my fat storages, then they’ll become easier meals to add to said fat storages.”
“You could’ve just said you want to feel hot just for the fun of it,” Zarian said.
“What do you want to do next?” Para asked, changing the subject quickly.
Laughing, Zarian looked up. The First Round was going to end soon. He could just wait things out. He was certain he had more than enough points to make it to the Second Round.
But he had a different idea as per usual.
He pointed up. “I’m getting a tingle from Lion Prince about something in that direction.”
Para looked up. “Want to go there? I sense we’ll end up in another Super World.”
“Why not?”
“Indeed, why not?”
Usually, when Zarian was about to bend and break the rules, the Star System would try to intervene. However, there were three other universal Systems involved, so the Star System kept his blue notifications and red alerts to himself and let the mess happen.
That was how Zarian imagined it as he and Para worked together in wizardry and sorcery, void-magic and gravity-magic, while setting their sights on their next target through their nearly omniscient senses.

Para’s instincts readjusted their aim. Zarian’s intense calculations ensured their next warping adventure would have the power for it.
Then they ripped a hole in the space-time continuum and launched into an entirely new Super World. The feelings of smothering darkness and having their bodies stretched out were fun for them, Zarian more so.
He belonged in these weird physics-breaking spaces that could make the speed of light a joke.
Jumunja, the Super World of Steam, Jungles, and Claws stayed behind. Nimbora, the Super World of Clouds, Bones, and Requiems appeared before them.
Zarian’s dark eyes widened at the mountains of bones jutting toward the cloud-heavy skies. Each cloud differed in color, creating rainbow effects that spanned across the air. There were also low-hanging clouds in the valleys too, though those looked more gray and mournful.
Between the mountains of bone and the myriad clouds of many colors, there were bittersweet songs drifting on the wind that seemed to come from the air itself. There were also weird angel-like creatures, but they had no flesh, and they looked more like bone-winged wraiths than angels.
They were huge, too, each a hundred feet tall.
They reached for Zarian.
Para got in the way. “Be gone, little things. You aren’t even worth snacking on.”
Para swung her hands like she were swatting bugs. Flickers of red phantom energy appeared in the air next to the angels before all of them got smacked away. Hard.
They landed in the bone mountains with clattering crashes that could be heard for many miles.
“Damn, Para. You’re so mean with all that power,” Zarian commented.
“Am I to be kind to those who try to strike at you? Humph!” Para folded all four arms and hovered in the air like an absolute boss, her tail swinging idly behind her. “Also, this is my way of dealing with the berserk power inside of me.”
“Oh, that reminds me.” Zarian gestured casually at Para. “Twenty Master Locks Sealing Style: Unlock Thirty Percent Berserk.”
Two more locks faded from the core of Para’s angry body. The remaining fourteen locks rattled as Para’s rage flared, testing the restraints.
On the outside, Para stayed floating in the air and looking down upon Nimbora with contempt. A low, gator-like growl slipped past her sharp teeth and full lips. Her tail lashed out and cracked like thunder in the air.
Zarian nodded. Para was holding out pretty fine. But he supposed they ought to find some victims for her to brutalize to help bleed the anger out.
Thankfully, it didn’t take long for someone to volunteer themselves. A gray beam shot at them from below. Zarian warped the air with gravity sorcery and forced the beam to bend around them.
Para slowly rotated in the air toward the attacker.
A barrage of gray beams streaked through the air in their direction. More and more streamed out from multiple attackers.
Zarian kept flexing gravity sorcery with his hands in the nice and comfy pockets of his pants. He had to admit, Para could make for a great fashion designer. Bianca would go insane for Para-made clothing, which was strangely fitting to think about.
“Assimilators,” Para said.
“I was wondering when we’ll run into them,” Zarian said, using his devourer trait. “They want me the most. They’re almost as bad as the Enslavement System, but they’re all about being one with their system.”
Imagine getting the isekai-treatment to the Assimilator System? That would suck major balls.
Para’s angry boss-chick appearance morphed into something even scarier. A smile appeared on her lips. Her nuke-lit eyes flashed with interest.
She licked her lips. “It’s as if they want to be me. But they can’t. There can only be one version of me.”
Zarian was going to add another comment when something caught his immediate attention. Lion Prince responded with a metaphysical tug, and Zarian looked toward something very, very interesting that was halfway across the Super World.
That was about it, though. He couldn’t see any further, and it would take another wormhole to make the trip.
“Deal with the assimilators,” Zarian said neutrally.
Para’s attention snapped toward him. Then she nodded once and flew down with a sonic boom.
Zarian turned away from the interesting thing across the world and hovered down casually to watch Para smack around assimilators.
The skeletal mountain range they were on clattered and shook apart as Para rampaged. The songs playing on the wind became more dramatic, as if serving as a soundtrack to the beatdown.
The assimilators responded in predictable ways that were almost like a hive mind. None of them ran. They faced the threat that Para presented and kept firing at her with their boring gray beams.
They looked humanoid. Some more than others. But they had chrome skin and bland expressions on their faces. They also spoke in a mechanical monotone.
“The Assimilator System welcomes you.”
“Be one with the Assimilator System. True power is through togetherness.”
“The weakness of your flesh will fail you. But our magic metal will overcome that for you.”
“Stop resisting. Stop resisting. Stop resisting.”
“Be harder, better, faster, stronger with the assimilators.”
Para darted across the rugged bone-surface of the mountain peak she was on. She planted her bare foot on the chrome-covered flesh of an Assimilator male and gave him the crumpled can experience under her.
She threw her leg to the side and landed another strike with her foot. The kick sent the assimilator flying into others as Para flipped through the air, dodging hundreds of gray beams, like a Jedi up against storm troopers.
Her movements were too fast, and her hits were too powerful, as she darted from assimilator to assimilator and personally punched and kicked them. Better yet, she was holding back still, or she would’ve obliterated the entire mountain range they were on.
Unfortunately, Zarian was feeling the need to move on rather than let Para have her way for a stretch.
Before he said anything, Para snapped her gaze upward to him and nodded. She rocketed into the air, gray beams lancing through the sky around her as she twisted and went further upward. She punched through the rainbow clouds above, exposing the void beyond, before she stopped and looked down.
A request from Para to Zarian came in through their link.
The wizard answered it, flipping Overpowered Times Two from passive to active. Para’s entire existence became 250% stronger.
The rainbow-clouded sky turned red. Phantom energy and void magic twisted through the air. The weakest assimilators fell over dead or became horribly warped, unable to endure the mere side effects of being exposed to such magic.
Then Para formed a face that was reptilian and humanoid made purely of phantom energy and twisted void magic. The face was reminiscent of hers, with a mouth wide enough to eat part of the world.
In one bite, the assimilators were consumed along with multiple mountain ranges. Zarian was certain that other contestants were caught in the cross-feast and became accidental meals to Para’s hunger.
Then Para returned to him as normal. She was back to folding her four arms in front of her chest and floating like a boss. Behind her were large ravines made from her teeth marks that went as far as the horizon.
She licked her lips. “Hm. Barely an appetizer.”
Zarian snorted. They got to working together and created another wormhole that was more short ranged.
It was faster this way than taking a trip through Void Paradise, even though the magic involved was more complicated. After a quick hop, skip, and jump, they ended up in another section of Nimbora.
Whatever was drawing Zarian’s attention made him feel more amped up.
