Overlord Tamer: All My Pet Monsters Have God Potential-Chapter 129: Mr. Sirius Ravenstar (3/4)
Chapter 129: Mr. Sirius Ravenstar (3/4)
The three appraiser Emperor-rank Tamers looked at the orb and inspected it using their soul sense as well as ocular-type skills to see more. freёnovelkiss.com
Naturally, many more were checking out the orb with various skills from their booths.
All Emperor-rank Tamers in the VIP booths had extended their soul sense and were checking it out with their skills.
The results were evident.
"There’s no doubt that the energy potency of this orb is of Sovereign-rank or more likely, above it."
The first appraiser spoke, his tone holding certainty in his words.
"The attributes...I feel the distinct aura of both life and death, and more, which I cannot identify properly. But given its energy level and these properties, I think this should work as said by Mr. Sirius."
The second appraiser spoke before giving a nod to the lady.
"The item is genuine in its potency and attributes. For the last verification, we can just have Mr. Sirius swear a soul oath that its effect is indeed as amazing as he said."
The third appraiser spoke and looked at Mr. Sirius.
John smiled and readily swore a soul oath in front of everyone as all people saw the soul oath contract forming over his head.
In the next second, it dispersed into motes, indicating that what he said was true. If it were false, his soul would have scattered. Dead.
But with this verification, there was no doubt anymore in anyone.
"Give it to him. We accept that orb as the buyout price for the Soul Milk Dew."
From the VIP booth number 6, a feminine voice rang out in a crisp and clear manner.
The booth belonged to the Razorshade Syndicate, the organization whose people found the Soul Milk Dew.
It was clear they had found more of it, perhaps a total of ten drops, but decided to auction five drops.
And they truly found good value because the Death Reversing Lysteron Orb was clearly more valuable than the milk.
The red-haired lady smiled and struck the hammer three times upon hearing Razorshade Syndicate’s decision.
"Congratulations to both. The bid for the Soul Milk Dew is concluded."
John put the Soul Milk Dew in his storage. Of course, he wasn’t going to let Volfure Terrorcaster Dragon drink it. It was actually for Azelis when she decided to break through to Sovereign-rank, which wasn’t too far off since she was over halfway to the peak of Emperor-rank.
Suddenly, a clear voice rang out from the Blazebound Sect’s VIP booth with a curious tone as John was about to sit.
"Mr. Sirius. I wonder if you have one more Death Reversing Lysteron Orb? If you have, we would like to buy it."
Immediately after that, other forces also showed their interest as they spoke up.
In response, John chuckled and sat down in his seat as people in the VIP booth saw him nonchalantly waving his hand in response.
"I am a merchant of a large organization and we have some strict merchant principles as the way we work is a bit different. The items I sell are not fixed, and even I don’t know what I will sell. But since I am welcomed nicely here, I shall open my humble shop in this city for a short duration."
"That’s wonderful news, Mr. Sirius. How about we give you a small land to set up your living and shop in the Nexus city for however long you are here?" Razorshade Syndicate’s Emperor-rank Tamer spoke.
John laughed. "No need. My shop is where I am. I am also searching for an apprentice, hence my journey. Now, let us cease the further talk. I am here to check out this auction out of curiosity. For business dealings, we can talk later."
"Very well. Please continue the auction, sister Maiyin."
The red-haired lady smilingly nodded. "Let me introduce you to the next item without further ado."
Time passed as items got auctioned one by one.
There were some Emperor-rank items near the end of the auction, an hour later.
For the last item slot, it was another Sovereign-rank item.
A Sovereign-rank Spirit Ore of an advanced attribute termed—Hailsteel, a supposed variant of Metal and Ice.
The large piece of ore weighed 0.8 tons, and all big forces fought fiercely for it since it had multiple uses, except for the main use, which was using it to craft an item, since there was no one in the Nexus city who could craft armor or weapons using Sovereign-rank materials.
Still, the piece of ore had concentrated Sovereign-rank potency spirit energy of Hailsteel attribute. Both Tamers and Monsters could benefit greatly if they refined and utilized it for their personal growth, and if not for that, the ore could still be used to craft an Artifact with a single-type inclusion effect by using the ore alongside other materials.
Artifacts held activation effects and there were people who could craft them, but there was no one capable enough to mold them into proper weapons and armor. Some tried, but due to a lack of knowledge and mastery, the items usually broke due to mishandling of the material. This was one of the reasons each force only had a single set of Sovereign-rank Armor and Weapons, given to them by their higher-ups.
In the end, the spirit ore was obtained by the Dreamforged Guild.
People began leaving the auction while the red-haired lady was a bit speechless since John was sleeping.
Or rather, pretending to be asleep.
When he saw that all the people had left, he opened his eyes and saw the red-haired lady still in the stadium.
"Apologize. I was not much interested, so I decided to take a nap," John said with a light chuckle as he stood up.
"Understandable, Mr. Sirius. I was waiting to inform you that some people are waiting to meet you. Please allow me to lead you to them as they are in a room nearby."
"Sure. Let’s go. Let’s do some business."
John followed the red-haired lady, going past the curtains behind the stage. The auction building was rather large, with another hall behind the main auction hall that led to four corridors with rooms.
Entering one of the rooms, John saw eleven people at the table, with one or two people standing behind each of them.
He recognized a few of them.
One was Executive Rudh, who was here representing the Ouroboros Hall. He had the other two executives standing behind him.
The other ten were also acting heads or representative of their respective force, but all of them were at the peak of Emperor-rank, the strongest under the Sovereign-rank.
’That little shit is also here?’ John glanced at Rakin Lokham who was standing behind his father alongside his uncle Jerry Lockham.
"It looks like you are eager to do business, eh?"
John chuckled and sat down in the only empty seat at the table.
[ Jibril: So none of them are Sovereign-rank Tamers? ]
[ Azelis: Nope. Sovereign-rank Tamers don’t attend auctions most of the time. They are usually on a mission from the higher-ups and training by finding a special dimensional island at the center of the archipelago, and competition there is fierce due to Sovereign-rank tamers of Brelial city. Most importantly, the faster they reach the peak of Sovereign-rank, the earlier they can leave for the world of those higher-ups. Now that I think about it, each major force always had one Sovereign-rank Tamer. Even when a second Sovereign-rank Tamer appears, that person disappears shortly.]
’It looks like for the higher-ups, this is merely a cultivation ground of sorts to get Tamers as well, just like how their branches here are doing it to the people of this world.’
[Azelis:...yeah, I am connecting many dots thanks to the various information you revealed.]
[ Jibril: Going to the world of those higher-ups, huh? I am so curious, but we won’t find out that anytime soon, I guess. ]
Outside, the first one to speak was Stormjade Pavilion’s acting head.
"Mr. Sirius. Your presence and your background have piqued our interest. Since you are a merchant, we would indeed like to do some business."
