Out of Control: Into Your Everything-Chapter 7: May I Borrow Your Honorable Hand
Julian Ford acted gentlemanly, only holding her by the waist, his gaze dropped, catching sight of Scarlett Shaw’s pale complexion.
In a calm tone he asked, "Not feeling well?"
Scarlett’s muscles were still somewhat weak, supporting herself with a chair to sit down, "Maybe, low blood sugar."
She hadn’t slept well last night, and spent the entire day rushing through work with Julian Ford, barely resting or eating, now her lower abdomen was faintly aching.
Julian Ford also thought it was due to the tight schedule.
Moreover, the weather was sultry and humid, easy to fall ill if not careful.
He asked, "Can you still walk?"
Scarlett: "I can."
The consequence of trying to be brave was, she felt dizzy again after barely taking a few steps.
Scarlett leaned against the wall, trembling, looked back at Julian Ford, "President Ford, can I borrow your hand..."
Two words were written in the man’s eyes: speechless.
Scarlett: ...
Ultimately, Julian Ford assisted Scarlett onto the car and took her to the nearest hospital.
The doctor handed the examination report, pushed his glasses up, "Heatstroke and low blood sugar, young lady must rest well. Don’t underestimate this weather, severe heatstroke can be fatal."
Scarlett repeatedly agreed.
Julian Ford, in a well-tailored suit, stood tall and indifferent at the side, checking his phone.
The doctor glared at him unhappily, "Handsome, what’s the point of a good-looking face? Your girlfriend is fainted, yet you’re playing on the phone?"
Scarlett was extremely unsettled upon hearing this.
Worried that Julian Ford might think she was finding an excuse to climb up on him.
"Doctor, he’s not my boyfriend, he’s my boss, kindly brought me to the hospital, he’s a good man." Scarlett quickly explained.
Julian Ford glanced at her indifferently.
Scarlett lowered her head, saw the time on the phone, hurried to get up, "President Ford, we should head to the airport, it’s almost time to board."
Julian Ford put away his phone, ignoring her.
Walked straight out of the hospital.
Scarlett followed closely behind, opened the ride-hailing app, hadn’t placed an order yet, heard Julian Ford’s cold command:
"Get in the car."
Julian Ford walked towards a Mercedes, Scarlett hurriedly got into the passenger seat.
Julian Ford had long legs, walked in large strides, she had to trot to keep up, her body was already weak and broke out in a cold sweat.
Scarlett leaned against the seat, somewhat drained.
While Julian Ford checked the rearview mirror, he caught sight of her heaving chest.
"If you’re uncomfortable, why not say so."
He recalled that she behaved quite well throughout today, not showing any signs of illness.
Scarlett: "Work is important."
Julian Ford: "If something major happens, it’s considered a workplace injury, and the company has to compensate. Losing your life is a small matter, but the company’s reputation would suffer."
Scarlett secretly rolled her eyes, cursed the evil capitalist.
Still appeared respectful, "Rest assured, President Ford, I won’t cause trouble for the company."
Someday when she truly dies from overwork, she’d definitely lie at her workspace and wait for them to collect her body!
Julian Ford didn’t speak further.
They arrived at a five-star hotel.
Scarlett was puzzled, "President Ford, if we don’t go to the airport now, the flight will be delayed."
Julian Ford glanced at her, "If you pass out on the plane, no one can save you, just wait to say goodbye to the world."
"..."
Scarlett was outraged but dared not speak up, was about to open the car door, when a warm flow surged in her lower abdomen.
She froze.
Done for.
Before Julian Ford could get out of the car, Scarlett pulled out some wet wipes, quickly wiped the seat cushion between the gaps in the passenger seat.
Julian Ford noticed a trace of red on it.
Scarlett didn’t notice Julian Ford’s gaze.
She was tired and weak, worried about staining the seat and leaving marks.
This was a Mercedes, a very expensive one, and if she had to pay for it, it would only worsen her already heavy debts.
"Put this on."
A cool, textured high-quality blazer was thrown in front of her, Scarlett looked up in a daze, Julian Ford had already gotten out of the car, walking towards her.
"The car is professionally cleaned, there’s no need to waste your efforts."
Scarlett blushed, took the blazer and wore it, whispered, "Thank you, President Ford."
The night was sweltering, Julian Ford casually unbuttoned his collar, "No need to thank me. The way you’re wiping doesn’t remove the smell, nor is it cleaner than having someone else wash it."
"..."
Julian Ford was nearly 1.9 meters tall, while Scarlett was 1.65, wearing his blazer just covered the stained area.
She walked to the hotel entrance, paused, and changed direction.
Julian Ford noticed, "Where are you going?"
Scarlett answered honestly, "To the nearby convenience store to buy something."
Julian Ford understood she was going to buy sanitary pads, his gaze swept over her.
Scarlett was already thin, and wearing his coat, she looked even more fragile; her face was pale, her lipstick long gone, her lips faint pink, reflecting an unhealthy dullness.
She looked more pitiful than that night.
But somehow, perhaps due to the better lighting, Julian Ford found a hint of allure in Scarlett’s pitiful appearance.
"Go back to your room and rest; you can take the room card from the front desk with my name."
After speaking, Julian Ford got back into the car.
The Mercedes sped away.
Scarlett stood there dazed for a while before following Julian Ford’s instructions, got the room card and entered the room.
She looked at herself in the mirror, the blazer draped over her, and the thought of Julian Ford buying sanitary products for her made her feel extremely incredulous.
That night, she was pinned by him in front of the floor-to-ceiling window.
Stared coldly by him, forced to say many embarrassing words.
Made her certain that he was a superficially gentleman-like snob and a psychologically twisted person.
Yet now the twisted guy was actually buying sanitary products for her in person.
Scarlett felt somewhat terrified.
The sound of knocking at the door interrupted her thoughts.
Scarlett was surprised, didn’t expect Julian Ford to act so fast.
She hurriedly went to open the door.
The gratitude on Scarlett’s face vanished instantly upon meeting Ryan Ford’s cold and deep gaze.
Ryan: "What’s the matter, disappointed to see me?"
Scarlett didn’t want to speak, just wanted to slam the door on him.
Too bad she neither has a guard dog nor is stronger than Ryan.
Ryan placed his hand on the door, easily pushing it open, stepped in, and closed the door behind him.
Scarlett backed away, "Ryan, get out."
Ryan almost immediately after entering, saw the man’s clothes on the bed.
His face turned terrifyingly cold, "Where’s that man?"
Scarlett: "What are you talking about?"
Ryan’s large hand gripped her chin forcefully, causing Scarlett pain, tried to kick him but was pinned against the cabinet.
"Scarlett, just tell me truthfully, who is that man, where is he, and I’ll let you go. Otherwise, you know what happens if you offend me."
