Out of Control: Into Your Everything-Chapter 150: The Apartment Has No Soundproofing
She blinked, her heart beating fast, her breath intense beyond measure.
"Julian Ford."
"Hmm?"
Scarlett Shaw climbed onto him, held his face, and pinched it, "I’ve realized that in certain ways, you’re quite cute too, just a little less than me."
Julian Ford clasped her waist in response, "Since you remember my birthday, from now on you have to celebrate it with me, only you know this date."
The word "from now on" carried a hint of promise.
Scarlett Shaw was stunned, "Don’t your parents know it too?"
"They don’t care."
Julian Ford answered nonchalantly, as if he were an outsider discussing someone else’s matters.
A pain arose in Scarlett Shaw’s left chest, and her brows furrowed slightly as she heard Julian Ford calmly say, "In the future, no matter what happens, no matter how angry you are with me, you’re not allowed to block me again."
Scarlett Shaw guiltily replied, "This habit isn’t really good, but what if I can’t help it?"
"Even if you can’t help it, you have to."
"..."
Scarlett Shaw originally thought that this guy would at least say something nice to make her nod, but unexpectedly he didn’t, acting all bossy instead.
"No matter what, you must ensure that I can always find you. You can be angry, but you can’t disappear, otherwise, I would worry about you, got it?"
Julian Ford’s immediate words made Scarlett Shaw’s feeling of disdain for him disappear instantly.
She looked into his eyes and nodded seriously, "I won’t do it again."
Julian Ford glanced out the window, "The meteor shower is over, how about your wish?"
Scarlett Shaw: "I’ve already made it secretly when you were making yours."
"What was your wish?"
Scarlett Shaw’s eyes flickered, "To get rich soon."
"Being with me, haven’t you already gotten rich? Your wish is even less practical than mine."
Julian Ford stared at her for a moment, seeing no wavering on her face, then thought for a bit and asked:
"Did you make another wish you’re not telling me about?"
Anticipating he would see through her, Scarlett Shaw didn’t deny it, saying, "Saying it out loud means it won’t come true."
Her attitude was firm, and she refused to reveal a single word.
Julian Ford saw in her eyes a steadfast belief in that wish, which not only made it impossible for him to see through it, but the conviction in it was even deeper than when she told him seriously that she liked him.
He couldn’t help but furrow his brows, "Are you hiding something from me?"
"What about you, are you hiding something from me?"
Scarlett Shaw steadily looked at him, her tone light and seemingly offhand.
She didn’t seem to expect an answer from him, and the corners of her beautiful lips quickly curved into a sly smile, saying:
"Being in a relationship doesn’t mean you have to tell each other everything. You and I are both independent individuals; we both have things we don’t want to tell others. Who said this? It seems to be some guy named Zhou."
"..."
Being boomeranged by her words, Julian Ford wasn’t upset. After a moment of contemplation, he rationally analyzed, "It seems your wish is very important to you."
Scarlett Shaw: "Yes."
The moment the words fell, her body was lifted.
She was suddenly picked up by him, his hands hooked under her knees as he stood up. Scarlett Shaw was almost hanging on him, having to clamp her legs around his waist, holding him tightly as her body trembled slightly with his steps, finally being pressed against the large floor-to-ceiling window.
"More important than me?"
He looked up, his eyes darker and more intense than the night behind Scarlett Shaw.
Affection arose, and possessiveness was rampant.
Wanting to coax his girlfriend, Julian Ford showed too much softness and vulnerability to Scarlett Shaw, making her almost forgetful of her high and mighty boyfriend, who apart from emotions, was in control and domineering in everything else.
He could be vulnerable, but much more often, he was controlling and oppressive.
The spring tide surged.
With her back against the cold window, Scarlett Shaw hugged Julian Ford tightly, bit his firm shoulder, buried into his arms, and said dully:
"About the same."
The answer was clearly not enough to satisfy the man.
The consequence of dissatisfaction was naturally being tossed around in different places and different positions until dawn broke, and Scarlett Shaw could escape, collapsing exhausted onto the bed in the bedroom to sleep.
When she woke up, the sun was nearly setting.
Julian Ford, in a shirt and trousers, elegantly sat on the rattan chair by the window. Hearing the movement, he looked at her smooth, pale shoulder and asked, "When will you move into that apartment?"
Scarlett Shaw paused, "Do I have to move?"
She was currently living in her small apartment, which was actually quite nice.
Julian Ford stood up, his long legs striding over to her, bending over to encircle her in his arms, "The walls in your apartment are too thin. Are you sure you want others to hear you?"
This kind of suggestive topic, coming from someone else, would be either ambiguous or vulgar.
But at this moment, Julian Ford, neatly dressed, looked calm and composed, his voice even, with no trace of last night’s savage oppression.
Scarlett Shaw, clutching his shirt, buried her head and said nothing.
Only the revealed tips of her ears were completely red.
Before last night, she might have talked back.
But Julian Ford’s words accurately brought all the memories of last night flooding back into her mind. Remembering the things she begged him to say and do, Scarlett Shaw blushed to the point of bleeding.
"I’ll move."
She said dully.
Julian Ford found it amusing to see her tuck herself into his arms like a turtle, "It’s not like it’s your first time; isn’t your shy reaction a bit delayed?"
During their first night back then, although she was much more inexperienced than now, her reaction afterward was exceptionally calm.
Scarlett Shaw couldn’t help but find her boyfriend annoying again, "Last night was our first time after getting together."
All those past times were just about completing a task, incomparable to when feelings were aligned.
Moreover, last night they had just poured their hearts out. Although not pledging eternal love, with deeper emotions, naturally came a more passionate response during intimacy.
However, Scarlett Shaw still felt a bit regretful.
She seemed to have been a little too into it, babbling recklessly, saying all sorts of things without shame.
Of course, the one with even less shame was now impeccably dressed, showing no trace of embarrassment.
"Give me a time to move." Julian Ford brought the subject back, "If you find it troublesome, I’ll arrange it."
Scarlett Shaw thought for a moment, "Next Saturday?"
Julian Ford paused at her words, "I have something on Saturday, I can accompany you on Sunday."
Scarlett Shaw: "What is it?"
Julian Ford raised an eyebrow, "Is this an interrogation?"
Scarlett Shaw: "You could say that."
Julian Ford: "I have a prior engagement with Josiah."
Scarlett Shaw responded with an "oh," and seeing that Julian Ford didn’t seem willing to explain further, she didn’t ask more, simply arranging with him to move on Sunday.
On Saturday, Julian Ford went to the hospital.
As Josiah Sutton accompanied him to the neurosurgery department, he suddenly remembered something and curiously asked, "Ryder Bell asked me a while ago who your girlfriend was. I didn’t even know you were dating. Is it Scarlett Shaw?"
Julian Ford: "Yes."
Although he’d had a hunch, Josiah Sutton couldn’t help but be surprised.
"When did that happen?"
Julian Ford glanced at him but didn’t hide it, saying candidly, "New Year’s Eve."
"The day you passed out?"
Josiah Sutton was momentarily stunned, then couldn’t help but marvel:
"But before that day, hadn’t you just started pursuing her? This girl is too straightforward. You didn’t even do anything, and she agreed to date you."
A vague thought flashed through Julian Ford’s mind, but before he could think about it further, Josiah Sutton’s arranged neurosurgery expert was already at the hospital, waiting for his consultation.
Not saying more, he took long strides into the examination room.
Neurosurgery wasn’t Josiah Sutton’s expertise, and with a surgery scheduled for later, he didn’t join in, turning back to his own department.
However, what Josiah Sutton didn’t expect was to find Scarlett Shaw sitting on a chair outside his office.
Sitting there obediently and quietly, her eyes slightly lowered, who knows what she was thinking.
