Chapter 344: Chapter 328: A Different Kind of Romance

On both sides of the Silvan River, there are many famous spots like The Louvre, The Grand Palace and Petit Palais, The Orvelle Museum, The Lumeria Cathedral, The Aerodyne Tower, and so on.

A boat ride is a classic project for touring the Silvan River, and the entire journey takes seventy minutes. The night view of the Silvan River is beautiful, but the most captivating is the tower at night. The gently flowing waters of the Silvan River carry the boat slowly forward, and the brilliant tower seems right in front of you, as if you could reach out and hold it.

Most girls love the romantic symbol of The Aerodyne Tower, and Sienna Thornton is no exception. In front of the sparkling tower, she strikes various lively and adorable poses, all captured frame by frame in Simon Forrester’s lens.

After the boat ride, Simon Forrester held her hand as they got off the boat.

It was a bit late, and the air had grown cooler.

Sienna Thornton wrapped her coat tighter, her lower face tucked into the collar, and clung to Simon Forrester’s arm, excitedly asking, "Where else are we going to play?"

Late at night, Lumeria’s public safety wasn’t ideal, so Simon Forrester wasn’t keen on lingering outside much longer; therefore, he said, "Heading home!"

"We’re going to The South of France tomorrow, let’s walk around a bit more? I want to take more pictures."

At this moment, a taxi happened to pass by, and Simon Forrester raised his hand to hail it, wrapping his arm around her as they got in: "Come on, here’s your chance to practice speaking."

"Oh." She then used the French she learned during the day to give the driver their destination.

The car drove onto the main road, and Simon Forrester wrapped his large hand around her small one, gently caressing it, and said, "We’re going to The South of France the day after tomorrow, let’s stay one more day in Lumeria tomorrow, and spend the night there."

Hearing that they wouldn’t be staying at Sylvia Langley’s place, Sienna Thornton cheered, "Yay! Let’s stay near the tower, okay?"

"Sure, we’ll stay in a room with a view of the tower." Simon Forrester looked down at her, and with a gentle tug of his arm, she leaned against his shoulder.

Leaving the bustling and busy city center, the car sped toward the suburbs, leaving the luxurious nightlife of Lumeria far behind.

Sienna Thornton leaned on Simon Forrester’s shoulder, one hand holding his, the other arm wrapped around his waist: "When I was in college, I read a novel, and that was my first experience of feeling a different kind of Lumeria romance from a book."

"What was written in the book?"

Her face flushed, she pursed her lips, and softly said, "The male lead and female lead stayed in a hotel room with a view of the tower..."

The Straight Man Forrester: "What did they do?"

Candy Thornton blushed, lowered her head, fiddled with her fingers: "Just... some stuff..."

After a moment of silence, The Straight Man Forrester suddenly chuckled lowly, leaning down to her ear and whispering, "You read these kinds of novels?"

"Every girl reads them..." Candy Thornton’s face reddened like it was about to drip blood, "I’ve read a few."

The Straight Man Forrester let out a deep "hmm": "When we get back tonight, look up that novel online and bring it with us to the hotel tomorrow night."

Candy Thornton covered her face, her face as hot as a freshly made pancake.

.

Back home, Sylvia Langley wasn’t asleep yet; she was sitting in the living room watching TV with a face mask on.

The house was warm from the heater, and Sienna Thornton let out a sigh of comfort as she entered from the near-freezing outdoors.

Sylvia Langley noticed her normal complexion and smiled, "You didn’t drink tonight?"

Sienna Thornton sat down, a bit embarrassed, and politely said, "Good evening, auntie. I just had half a glass today, but it was a white wine from 1847."

Saying so, she gestured to indicate the amount of wine with her thumb and forefinger.

Sylvia Langley chuckled, "Did you guys have dinner at ’La Tour d’Argent’?"

"Yes! The duck blood there was delicious!" Although Sienna Thornton didn’t drink much, she was a bit tipsy, and clearly more talkative than usual.

"Jules and his father both love the duck blood and wine there," Sylvia Langley said, "I knew Jules would take you to eat there."

Sienna Thornton gave a thumbs up, "Auntie, you can really foresee things!" She laughed as she said it.

After changing into slippers, Simon Forrester, carrying a pair of ladies’ cotton slippers, walked over to help Sienna Thornton, slumped on the sofa, switch pairs. After the change, he patted her arm, "Alright, go take a bath! Why do you talk so much?"

He said, helping her up.

Sylvia Langley chimed in, "Hey, let Thornton keep me company for some chatting! Why go up so early? If you want to bathe, go by yourself first!"

Knowing she noticed Sienna Thornton had been drinking and wanted to pry, Simon Forrester said nothing, lifted Sienna Thornton under her arms, and carried her to the second floor.

.

In the room, Simon Forrester set the face-covering Sienna Thornton down on the foot of the bed, braced his hands on either side of her, leaned down, and stared into her eyes, his deep amber eyes fixing on her.

Being gazed at like this, her initially slightly tipsy mind became even more dizzy, her cheeks instantly flushed a deep red. She giggled foolishly, hooked her hands around his neck, and softly asked, "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"I suddenly remembered, yesterday at Montparnasse Tower, you said something? — To live healthily, no more meat?"

"Huh?" Sienna Thornton withdrew her hand, laughing dryly, "How could I make such a vow? What’s the point of life if you don’t eat meat?"

"So, you mean to say I’m bluffing?"

"You must be trying to trick me into eating greens with you," she started digging into his pocket, "Did you turn on the recorder on your phone? Let me see..."

The girl’s soft and boneless hand rummaged through the big man’s pocket, causing Simon Forrester’s jaw and gaze to instantly tense up. He pressed her hand, took the phone out from the other pocket, and waved it in front of her: "No recording."

"Oh..." She sheepishly withdrew her hand, avoiding his eyes, "Anyway, I didn’t say it, and I don’t eat greens, I only eat meat!"

She was clearly a bit tipsy, speaking without reason.

Simon Forrester chuckled and tapped her forehead, "I knew you’re all talk, okay then, starting tomorrow, less meat and more veggies! I’ll keep an eye on you."

At this, she was a bit dispirited at first, but the next moment her eyes suddenly widened as she looked at him, her small hands cupping his face as she giggled and asked, "Are you meat?"

He was slightly taken aback, silent for a moment.

She pursued in a soft voice, "Are you meat? Are you?"

He couldn’t help but laugh, pinched her plump cheeks, "You win." He said, holding her as he stood, and kissed her wine-flushed cheek, his voice hoarse, "Time to bathe first..."

.

After a bath and some playful banter, Sienna Thornton felt thirsty, and Simon Forrester went downstairs to pour her some water.

Passing the study, he noticed the light was still on, and he knocked before entering.

With reading glasses perched on her nose, Sylvia Langley was behind the desk, pressing on a calculator. Hearing the knock, she glanced up and seeing the water in her son’s hand, smiled, "So considerate to bring in some water for me?"

"Not for you," Simon Forrester said, taking a seat in the leather chair in front of her.

Sylvia Langley feigned annoyance, taking off her glasses, "I kept the jewelry you bought for Thornton safely stored, I’ll bring it out when you propose at her parents’ house."

"Alright, it’s not good to carry so much jewelry while traveling around Europe, so it’s better off with you. But inside there are a few watches, I’d like to take two tomorrow."

"Sure," Sylvia Langley replied simply, though her mood seemed slightly off.

Simon Forrester, sensing this, hoped to avoid a lengthy conversation with her, glanced at the statement in her hand, and asked bluntly, "When will you reimburse me for the jewelry?"
