Chapter 302: Chapter 295: Night Out Partying (Part 2)

Perhaps when it comes to that point, Zane Forrester, who doesn’t want Sylvia Langley to take half of the family’s estate, will find a way to stabilize the marriage.

Simon Forrester found it feasible, so Sienna Thornton instructed Rochelle Linwood to prepare the proxy agreement, to be mailed to Sylvia Langley in The South for signing and returning.

On Friday, Old Master Forrester suddenly called, saying Zane Forrester had already returned to the United States, and the old house felt lonely, so Simon Forrester should bring Sienna Thornton back to the old house for the weekend.

So, on Saturday morning, Simon Forrester and Sienna Thornton packed some simple change of clothes and headed back to the Forrester family’s old house.

In the northern city in June, the sky was a clear blue.

In the courtyard of the quadrangle, the artificial mountains and the pond were abundantly clear, surrounded by jujube and persimmon trees, symbolizing "early blessings and everything going smoothly."

The summer breeze blew from the outer courtyard into the inner courtyard, bringing a touch of coolness.

Sienna Thornton wore a white round-neck sleeveless shirt and a royal blue silk long skirt, looking elegant and very graceful.

She carried the fruit she brought for Old Master Forrester, while Simon Forrester held both their luggage bags as they walked towards the inner courtyard.

Old Master Forrester was sitting in the living room watching TV, and upon seeing them from afar, he hurried out, warmly greeting them, "Ah, Thornton is here! Please come in, come in!"

Saying this, he stayed by Sienna Thornton’s side without even glancing at Simon Forrester.

Simon Forrester, following behind, asked in dissatisfaction, "Hey, Grandpa, why didn’t you greet me? Have you forgotten who I am or something?"

Old Master Forrester turned his head and gave him a disapproving look, "Did you greet me?" He said this angrily while on the other side his face turned to Sienna Thornton, laughing kindly.

Simon Forrester continued his protest from behind, "At my age, not greeting you usually means I don’t want to trouble you. But at your age, if you don’t greet me, I get worried about your health..."

His implication was that an old man who doesn’t greet his grandson might not be in his right mind.

Old Master Forrester caught his meaning, and as he was stepping up a couple of steps, he turned around angrily and slapped Simon’s shoulders hard twice.

Simon Forrester was standing two steps lower, and after this beating, he dared not complain further, rubbing his sore shoulder as he followed them, looking indignant.

Old Master Forrester turned again and laughed at Sienna Thornton, gently patting her hand, saying helplessly, "Living with my unruly grandson must be hard for you, right?"

Sienna Thornton was about to reply, "Yes, he has such a sharp tongue, often making me so angry," but then she thought, this wasn’t Old Master Forrester genuinely criticizing his grandson.

This was clearly him being too shy to praise, so borrowing her words to do so.

With this thought, the words she was about to speak quickly swallowed down, and she said instead, "Not at all, he’s very nice, and I’m very happy and blessed to be with him!"

The grandfather and grandson both heard this and their faces beamed with joy.

It was Sienna Thornton herself who ended up feeling a bit bashful.

.

Simon Forrester played chess with Old Master Forrester while Sienna Thornton watched TV on the side.

At twelve o’clock, a servant came to say lunch was ready, and the three moved to the dining room.

The long dining table for entertaining guests was filled with over a dozen dishes.

In the center stood a charcoal copper pot with boiling water inside, next to it was a plate of paper-thin sliced mutton and two or three plates of sauces.

And at each place setting, there was a set of golden gilded silver bowls. Below the bowl was a small tray of the same material, covered with a metal lid of the same material, concealing what was inside.

On the table were also crystal pig’s knuckles, crispy fried fish fillets, sautéd shrimp with oil, and a few dishes of seasonal vegetables.

Looking at this table filled with sumptuous Old Northgate dishes, Sienna Thornton asked in confusion, "Are there other guests?"

Old Master Forrester laughed heartily, "No, it’s just the three of us enjoying the meal together!"

Sienna Thornton helped Old Master Forrester to the main seat, then sat next to Simon Forrester, smiling, "It feels like a celebration, thank you, Grandfather, for the hospitality."

Old Master Forrester laughed too, "My Forrester family’s granddaughter-in-law comes home for a short stay, isn’t it a celebration?"

His words elicited laughter from Sienna Thornton and Simon Forrester.

Old Master Forrester invited everyone to eat, and Sienna Thornton removed the golden lid beside her, revealing the dish of braised shark fin.

The soup was golden, thickened, and the shark fin was in strips, releasing a fragrant aroma as the lid was lifted.

Sienna Thornton picked up the accompanying gold spoon and tasted it, finding the soup rich, fresh, and smooth, melting in her mouth.

"This soup is delicious!" Sienna Thornton whispered to Simon Forrester.
