Otome Game no Heroine de Saikyou Survival-Chapter 97
Reunion in the Royal Capital
“You know me…”
Feld, who had suddenly come to stop the altercation, looked at my face as I had unknowingly called out his name, and after a few seconds, he huffed and clapped his hand.
“Ah, you’re the young but strong adventurer I met in the capital before! It’s been a long time, and you’ve gotten a lot stronger since then. I’m uncertain whether I’d be able to fight you anymore, can I?”
The first time we met, he was wearing the kind of leather armor you could buy anywhere and carrying a large sword.
The second time we met, he was on his way to escort the royal prince around town and was wearing well-dressed light armor.
Today marked our third encounter. Although he was carrying a large sword, the clothes he was wearing were the kind that were sold everywhere, but the high spirit overflowing from his entire body was plainly visible to everyone, and the surrounding adventurers began to murmur at his statement.
“Still not as good as Feld…”
That big back leaving behind in dusk was my goal; I thought I had become a little stronger now that I was Rank 4, but that back was still a long way off.
[Feld] [Race: Human ??] [Rank 5]
[Magic Power: 215/225] 30Up [Strength: 357/370] 20Up
[Total Combat Power: 1494 (With Physical Enhancements: 1908)] 116Up
His combat power had increased considerably from three years ago. Judging from the increase in value, it was likely that the average values of his combat power and status had increased due to the increase in the Level of his magic power.
Feld’s appearance was the same as three years ago. He originally looked older than his age, but come to think of it, he was 20 years old three years ago, so we should assume that he had become stronger in order considering his age.
“I don’t think so either… So what was the cause of the altercation?”
“I will explain that to you.”
Feld’s face turned a little grim at the sight of the fallen adventurer and me, and the receptionist who had been assigned to me interrupted.
“Aria-sama was entangled with the man over there and fought back. It is true that it was Aria-sama who made the first move, but there were some inciting remarks, and since it is recommended that disputes within the guild be settled between adventurers, the guild will consider it a caution to Aria-sama, and there will be no further problems.”
“I see…”
Since the guards could not handle a tussle between adventurers with high combat power, if both were adventurers, it would be a good thing if they could settle the matter themselves without making it a big issue.
Of course, the guild would act in the case of malicious behavior, such as entangling with an obviously inferior adventurer and wounding him or trapping him in a group. What more, the guild would even cancel my registration and charge me with a crime, but since I was still in my early teens on the registration, they judged that the entanglement was malicious.
I was a bit short-sighted too. If I had fought back after he had properly attacked me, this level of retaliation would have been tolerated without a warning.
As I was giving a cold stare to the man who still could not get up after getting hit, Feld muttered my name.
“Aria… I’ve heard of you somewhere…”
“Oh, that.”
“Oh, you! You’re the swordsman of the [Rainbow Sword]! Do you know this little brat? You can’t be serious!”
The receptionist’s attempt to answer Feld’s question was interrupted by the scout, who had regained his consciousness and suddenly raised his voice.
Rainbow Sword…? Feld?
“Oh, I remember now! It’s you, Viro’s apprentice, who was going to join our party. I wondered what kind of person he was introducing, since he bragged a lot about his disciple, but with your fighting skills, I’m convinced.”
“Huh?”
He laughed as he glanced at me.
“You, if you can’t use your appraisal, use your appraisal crystal and look at her. Then you won’t even think of getting involved.”
“No way…”
Feld took no offense. Perhaps this scout held admiration for [Rainbow Sword].
The adventurer was stupefied after he had appraised Aria with an appraisal crystal because he had judged her only by her appearance, and felt depressed when Feld declared him stronger than me.
“Is Feld going to join us?”
“Apparently so. Nice to meet you.”
*
Feld was a member of Viro’s party [Rainbow Sword].
The other members were Viro, the scout, and Mira, the elven spirit-user I had met earlier, and Dalton, the dwarf leader. These two were apparently the first batch members who had founded [Rainbow Sword] with Samantha.
After all, without a sorcerer, our tactics lacked versatility. The question was how the spirit user and my dark magic could compensate for that.
“Still, Dalton decided that if we had members who could use light magic, we would be able to operate rather well. So, I trained my Light Magic and Fire Magic, which were Level 1, up to Level 2, but there are still some spells I can’t use, and to be honest, I’m glad that Aria is here to help me.”
“I see…”
“Aria’s fighting style seems exceptional for Viro’s apprentice, but I see that Aria found a Master in magic as well, and I’m looking forward to seeing the Level 4 dark magic, which Samantha couldn’t use either.”
“Yeah…”
I was now walking with Feld through the streets of the Royal Capital.
I had unintentionally met one of the members, but Feld, who had come to the guild to check if any additional information had been received from Viro, had unexpectedly met me, a new member, which was also one of his objectives, so I also went along with him for my rank update.
As I should have expected, Feld remembered meeting me in the Royal Capital, but he did not recall that the vagrant he had met on the street before was also me.

I pretended to be a boy then, and now my appearance and age were so different that it was partly inevitable, and I did not plan to tell him either.
Now that my outward appearance had grown-up to resemble a commoner in their adulthood, and I was officially in his company, Feld treated me not as a child, but as an adult.
Feld was good-natured enough to teach a stranger how to live without any hidden intentions, and I trusted him as a person as much as I trusted my Masters.
Perhaps that was why I disliked being treated like a child because I didn’t want him to know that I was the child he had saved that time.
By using [Illusion], a Level 4 dark magic, to make it rain indoors, I became [Rank 4] without any hitch, and the Adventurers’ Guild tag was changed to an almost pitch-black magical iron tag.
Normally, it would take a few days to make a magical iron tag, but apparently Viro had contacted them in advance and had it made. Viro was really capable. But from a child’s point of view, he was a useless adult.
Afterward, when I told him that I was going to Gelf’s store to adjust my armor, Feld agreed to guide me, who was still unfamiliar with the geography of the royal capital, and the three of us headed there together.
“You think so, Mira.”
“Yes, Aria has joined us, and we are looking forward to working with you and our beautiful future together.”
Mira, an elf spirit user, gave me and Feld a smiling, mild-mannered smile and nodded. She had also come to the guild out of curiosity, but we bumped into her outside the guild, and she agreed to accompany us straight to Gelf’s store.
The men walking down the street were attracted to Mira, a prideful elf, but not too sharp, and a beautiful woman of about 20 years old.
Surely, this kind of woman was popular with men.
“What’s up? Aria.”
“Yes? Mira is beautiful… isn’t Viro’s girlfriend Mira?”
“No, no, that’s not true.”
Feld denied it with a strange look on his face, but then he sneaked a look at me, who was more than 30 centimeters shorter than him, and told me.
“Mira is an elf, so she looks young on the outside, but in reality she’s the same age as Samantha. And to be frank, inside she’s just a regular old lady.”
“Many guys come on to me because of my looks, but they usually leave me after three days.”
“…I see.”
Apparently, her mild personality was not because she had rounded out after living in human society for nearly a hundred years, but because she had become an aunty.
Come to think of it, even though she looked young, even her master calls herself an old woman…
“You’re going to get lost if you keep thinking like that.”
“Yeah…”
It seemed I had stopped dead in my tracks as I was thinking about it. The Royal Capital was so crowded compared to other cities that I reflexively fingered the edge of Feld’s clothes when he told me I would be stripped off.
“Oh, hey?”
“Yeah?”
I tilted my head and wondered what was wrong, and for some reason, Feld’s gaze swam slightly.
“…No, it’s nothing.”
I held on to Feld, who for some reason had become less talkative, and we arrived at the Gelf’s store, the Dwarven armorer.
“Gelf, are you here?”
“Oh, my, it’s Aria and Mira. And you’ve got a nice guy with you.”
Gelf, dressed as usual in a tight-fitting leather outfit with lots of skin showing off, one eye with long, neatly trimmed eyelashes.
“Gelf, I’m having trouble moving my hips and chest. Can you do something about it?”
“…Your reactions are as nonchalant as ever, girl. Oh well, I thought it was time for you to grow up, so I made you some new clothes. Show me what you’re wearing.”
Apparently, Gelf had made me new armor, having anticipated my growth. He pulled me to the back again, collected my current gear as he handed me my new gear.
“This one has been taken care of, but you’ve been in some pretty tough fights. A self-healing Armor sure could protect you, but not in every situation either, so you need to take care of yourself.”
“Yeah, sorry.”
“This new gear is more defensive to match your appearance. The shape won’t change much, but it’s a more mature design.”
…What defenses?
The new armor was still the same black sleeveless one-piece with a stuffed collar, but it had been made more fireproof and water-resistant to adapt it to the harsh environment.
In terms of shape, the slit on the left side of the skirt had been deepened, and the skirt itself had been lengthened from above the knee to below the knee, making it easier to flip around for ease of movement.
“Yeah, that’s nice!”
“Yeah, it’s easy to move in and light.”
For some reason, Gelf and I felt like we were complimenting different things, but since we both liked it, it didn’t matter.
Mira’s eyes lit up when she saw me enter from the back of the store after I had finished changing.
“Gelf indeed, Aria, you are so cute!”
“Is it?”
I didn’t really understand it myself, but if Mira said so, then it must be so. Feld looked away slightly as she pulled the knife out of the deepened slit, as if to check its usability.
“Feld?”
“Oh…yeah, it’s fine, isn’t it?”
It was somewhat reassuring to hear Feld say that. For some reason, I felt an unconditional sense of relief that he would be okay with this outfit, even as I unintentionally grabbed his clothes.
“Oh, well…” I suddenly realized.
“Feld makes me feel safe when I’m with him.”
“Oh, yeah?”
“Yeah, he’s like a father.”
When I said this honestly, Feld stiffened and Gelf and Mira started laughing at my words.
…Was there something wrong?
