Chapter 63: Chapter 63 Threat?

Inside Jiezhi Space, the battle had entered a fever pitch right from the start. Captain Hu and Pei Yan were swiftly separated by the enemy. Led by Zou Changxing, three men cornered Captain Hu to one side. Flames and ice shards intermingled, steam rising, making it momentarily impossible for outsiders to see the four figures.

"Can’t we talk this over?" Pei Yan looked at the seven people surrounding him, snapped open the revolver’s chamber, and twelve bullets shot out from his body, landing perfectly into the cylinder. He closed the gun with a smile and asked.

The young man called He Yue by Zou Changxing opened and closed his hands. As he did, transparent threads became more apparent, finally gathering into a large net between his palms. He smirked coldly, "But that’s not exactly the gesture of someone who wants to talk!"

As soon as he spoke, he waved his hand, and a massive net descended upon Pei Yan. Instead of retreating, Pei Yan fired bullets at He Yue and his surrounding comrades, as the roaring motors of his mechanical legs pushed him straight towards He Yue.

"Boom!" A muffled thud echoed throughout Jiezhi Space as the rapidly advancing Pei Yan crashed hard into a stone wall shrouded in azure-gray internal power, countless cracks spreading from the point of impact.

Bang, another crisp explosion resounded. Amidst flying debris, Pei Yan burst through the wall, only to be met with another massive net and over twenty steel pipes wrapped in pale white internal power.

It was too late for Pei Yan to dodge. The earlier net rose into the air, blocking his retreat from behind. Sandwiched, he was directly captured within the net. Over twenty steel pipes pierced through the mesh to firmly pin the net to the ground, as five or six pipes struck Pei Yan’s iron body with resounding thuds.

"He hasn’t reached the level of external internal power release. Just trap him with a confinement ring to seal off his abilities and take him away," He Yue said, disdainfully dusting off the flying soot on his coat as he looked at Pei Yan trapped in the net, and ordered his subordinates on either side.

Pei Yan frowned at the hovering confinement ring closing in step by step. "You guys even have something like this?"

"Kid, our equipment and forces are far greater than you can imagine. Just obediently come with us; good days lie ahead for you," said He Yue, crumpling the tissue in his hand and casually tossing it aside.

Just as the three Divine Desire People manipulated the confinement ring, about to touch the iron net, a roaring sound erupted once again. Pei Yan’s arms transformed into chainsaws, slashing to the sides, breaking the net and sending steel pipes flying. With a swing of his right arm, he aimed a chop at the shoulder of the closest Divine Desire person.

Yet this determined attack did not achieve the expected result. The rapidly descending chainsaw was tightly tangled by an iron whip thrown sideways.

Pei Yan understood now that any object covered by an enemy’s internal power couldn’t be absorbed until the internal power was shattered.

"External internal power release, power!" Pei Yan muttered reluctantly under his helmet, but he had no better option and thus activated the high-speed operation of the chainsaw again.

Seeing the iron whip binding him buckle under strain and about to break, He Yue’s body emitted a blue glow and he snorted coldly, "Ground net."

Upon his words, a blue glow spiraled up from his fingertips along the iron whip and tightly bound Pei Yan’s right arm. To Pei Yan’s surprise, this net was entirely different from the previous one, extremely tough and sticky, causing his chainsaw to jam and unable to move.

"Executioner!" Another voice emerged from the wielder of the iron whip. The once-fragile iron whip instantly restored, blue electric arcs flashed along the iron whip, striking Pei Yan’s body.

"Aaaaah!"

He Yue manipulated the ground net with his fingers, watching Pei Yan, who was screaming and struggling to break free. "You refuse a toast only to drink forfeit wine. Put the confinement ring on him."

Without needing instructions, the two men on either side already navigated the confinement ring over Pei Yan’s immobilized right arm. Pondering the agony and powerlessness experienced from the confinement ring in the warehouse, Pei Yan roared and extended his mechanical arm, suddenly biting his teeth and severing his forearm.

"Captain Hu, you said earlier I could kill without restraint, is that serious?!" Pei Yan leapt twice to escape the pincer attack, watching as his right arm continuously vented iron stream to repair itself, he asked bitterly, recalling how just a fraction of a toe being severed turned purple and numb, now he had entirely sacrificed a forearm!

Amidst swirling smoke, following the sound of successive explosions, a charred figure was kicked out. Captain Hu wiped the blood from his face and shouted back, "Of course, it’s true. Don’t worry about the consequences! Attack freely!"

"How childish, getting all riled up in a fight and talking about killing people," He Yue stepped forward, kicking aside the mechanical severed arm. Mockingly he added, "You should understand your current situation, is it necessary to get yourself all battered?"

"Why waste so many words with him!" The young man wielding the iron whip came up, shouting discontentedly, about to charge forward but was stopped by He Yue with an outstretched hand. "Ning Tao, the organization wants an intact person, not a cripple."

Then he turned to Pei Yan once more, "Pei Yan, give up. You can’t escape. Even if you evade tonight, can you run forever? Or do you plan to hide in the investigation bureau for life? What about your family? Your parents run a Northeast specialty farm dining, right? I also heard you have a good-looking sister working in Shanghai?"

"What do you mean? What are you planning to do to my family?" Pei Yan was thunderstruck by these words, loosening his body poised for attack, going about in place, then roaring in anger.

"Nothing much, just wanted to say our organization has never failed at getting what it wants, be it a person or a thing! Pei Yan, don’t wait until it’s too late and lose too much to regret," He Yue saw his words taking effect, pressed forward with subtle hints. freewebnσvel.cøm

"Pei Yan, don’t listen to his deceit. The bureau has always been covertly protecting your family!"

"Captain Hu, you should worry about yourself first! It’s hard to say if your family can survive tonight, yet you’re still thinking of reducing others’ burdens."

"A spark of flame!"

"Freeze three feet!"

Captain Hu and Zou Changxing’s voices came from not too far away, but Pei Yan heard none of it, his bloodshot eyes glaring through the electronic visor at the man speaking confidently in front of him.

"Even with the investigation bureau’s protection, so what? Can they be with your family every moment? There are bound to be lapses, right? Consider it carefully, for your family if not for yourself. If you join us, the bureau won’t harm your family, but if you choose to fight us, we won’t hold back."

"If I stop resisting, you really won’t trouble my family?"

"Of course!"
