Origin Court: Accepting Disciples With A System-Chapter 271 Issuing A Mission
Yang Lujia was told that the Adventurers' Association was actually a huge organization that had branches scattered all over the regions, except for the backward Third Region. The head of their association was especially disdainful of erecting a branch in that place… or he might have an unpleasant memory of the place—or so the rumor says as the young lady told him.
"Oh, so that's why." Yang Lujia felt enlightened after gaining new knowledge. "Alright, returning to issuing a mission. How was it? How am I going to do it?"
The young lady then searched behind her for a paper and gave them to Yang Lujia. "This is the Mission Issuance Form. You just have to pay for it by giving us spirit stones as a reward with the addition of the issuance fee. Preferably, the spirit stones should be middle-level and above."
"Mission Issuance Form? Issuance Fee?" Yang Lujia was slightly taken aback. "How much is the issuance fee, though?"
"It depends on what mission you will issue, I mean, the difficulty of achieving it," the young lady said, having a mischievous smile on her face. "If it's something very difficult to achieve, it is naturally something that needs a high return."
"No need to waste any time. I just want to issue a mission. Can you feel in the Mission Issuance Form for me? I might make any mistakes during the process," he replied and put on a stoic face.
The young lady just nodded subconsciously and even took the initiative to take in the paper she gave to Yang Lujia. "What kind of mission do you want to issue?"
Yang Lujia sighed as he said to the lady, "It's actually quite complicated as I only have a lead of one person and her entire clan."
Hearing the "her" in his statement, it was as though all hopes went off her heart. It seemed like this young man in front of her already had someone in his heart. Nevertheless, she remained steadfast and replied with a stern expression, "No, you don't have to worry about it. To tell you the truth, there are only 1 out of 10 missions that our association cannot solve. Pray, tell yours, Master Yang."
"Actually, this friend of mine went inside a mysterious space and she went out after the first year we went in because she seemed to have received dire news from her clan. My subordinate said that her eyes, at that time, were full of worry and apprehension. I don't know what exactly happened but I'm now here to find out the truth and am hoping to help her out of that predicament if I can," Yang Lujia elaborated. "Can you help me on this, young lady?" f𝘳e𝒆w𝗲𝐛𝘯𝐨νe𝚕.co𝓶
"No problem!" the young lady suddenly replied vigorously.
It startled Yang Lujia a bit and just let out a light cough while staring at her. "What shall I do then? Would you not fill in the details in the Mission Issuance Form?"
"Ah!" The young lady tremblingly and immediately wrote the details on the form. "Wait, what exactly do you want the adventurers to do?" She realized that the information was still lacking and asked Yang Lujia about the specifics.
"Her name is Lan Mingyue. She seems to be from the Lan Clan, from one of the Sacred Cities—"
"Her?" The young lady's eyes went as wide as saucers and looked at Yang Lujia, dumbfounded. "She is actually your friend?"
"Oh?" Yang Lujia was intrigued by her sudden reaction, causing one of his brows to rise. "You know her as well?"
The young lady stabled herself and talked to Yang Lujia more seriously. "I see. So, she was the one you are trying to find information about. It's not that I know her a lot but I know that she's in the Top 25 of the Top 100 geniuses in the four regions.
"At such a young age, she had achieved high cultivation, enough to parry those at the top of the food chain in the Second Region. But I knew that this only happened because she was stimulated by something that happened to their clan. From then, news spread that she fled from her clan and made her own name in the backward Third Region.
"I only know her as an impressive peer, but recently, I heard the news about their clan. Do you want to hear it? Of course, if you want to, I would like to be the one to accept the mission you will issue."
Yang Lujia was surprised by this unexpected situation. The way he saw things from his perspective… turned out to be smoother than he thought it wouldn't be.
Seeing her smile, Yang Lujia knew he had to pay a hefty price for it. But he did not lack money, so he did not see any problem regarding it.
"So, when do we start?"
"Preferably, now." He smiled.
The young lady was once again dumbstruck by this beautiful and incomparable smile. She unknowingly blushed which made Yang Lujia feel strange.
"You kept on getting red," he innocently said.
'Does she like me?' he thought. 'Well, if so…"
"Lady, you don't need to be shy. I just want information. That's all," Yang Lujia teased.
The young lady got flustered and hurriedly said in a trembling tone, "N-No, w-who said I'm shy!"
A roar of laughter came out from Yang Lujia's mouth as she froze while reveling the laugh she heard from this young man. It was so pleasant that she immediately wanted to kneel for him. That peal of laughter was seriously the prettiest one she had ever heard for the record.
If that 'man' could laugh, however, it would also be the same as this young man in front of him. And there was no way they were the same person.
Both had completely different personalities.
"Forget about it. Now, tell me about it. Lan Mingyue and her clan's demise."
The young lady decided to set aside her feelings for now and concentrate on what Yang Lujia asked. She had to act as though he was only a client to her and not some crush she found in the corner.
Lan Mingyue was a renowned young lady of the Lan Family who was believed by many that she could clear a transcendent-level Sacred Area. However, ever since that incident happened in their family, she ran away while still young and forcefully built her own force.
The matter of clearing a transcendent-level Sacred Area was no joke, but people truly believed it. Thus, when Lan Mingyue decided to leave her clan, the latter had become somewhat remote, because she was the only one who could let the clan outshine the others in their Sacred City.
After several years, there was no news from the clan. It was like they were a clan that was forgotten by everyone. It turned out, however, that there was a larger secret they held inside.
"Her father, the clan head, their clan's patriarch, has been poisoned by someone. As for what kind of capabilities this person had, I am not certain yet. Nevertheless, it should be because of his affair with another woman."
She did not mean Lan Mingyue's mother. She meant the one who Lan Mingyue had caught with her father having some warm bedtime. After he got sick then, this woman did not reappear in their eyes and seemed to have gone into thin air from the northwest part of the region.
"There must be something more than what she sees," Yang Lujia commented. "Whoever schemed this must be a very interesting person. Does your association know who he or she is? Or any leads on the woman who had an affair with Yueyue's father?"
"Yueyue?" The young lady blanked out.
"Hmm?"
"Nothing." She sighed and continued to brush the weird feeling she had inside her heart. "Anyway, I don't have any leads yet. However, some say that that woman was someone who could change into someone else. That was the intel our association had grasped and she was still currently within the Sacred Region. Also, I have news you might want. It's also somewhat interesting."
"If she's still within this region, I might have ways to find her. On the other hand, I am quite intrigued by your last two sentences. What kind of news do you have in store for me?"
"Consider it a deal and I'll tell you. Adding to the mission I completed earlier for you, it's 5,000 spirit stones… high-level ones…" She touched her lips with her forefinger and looked at him seductively.
Yang Lujia was quite surprised. "Do you have a habit of licking your own fingers that you use when you wash your ass?"
The young lady almost vomited what she ate in the morning after hearing what he said. It wasn't vulgar. It was just too direct for her to take, but seeing his innocent eyes, she could really not tell or distinguish whether he really was innocent or not.
