Operation Honey Trap vs The Emperor of the Apocalypse-Chapter 123: I’m a Lonely Boy
As Magnus had flagged, their routine was very basic because they truly did have some fellas with two left feet.
It involved simple dance moves, if they could be called dance moves, like playing air guitar, pumping their fists in time and walking from left to right.
Even that much was beyond Wolf, Baer and Niko, who went the wrong way on numerous occasions, and ran into each other, causing the girls to laugh hysterically and the boys to up their antics.
Brenner did a good version of The Black Keys’ lead singer, mimicking his Ohio twang, with, Alton had to reluctantly admit, a half decent voice.
When it got to the second verse, the dancers among the men, Brenner, Han, Kai, Cormac and Magnus, upped the skill levels a notch, and they performed the horse riding-style dance known as Gangnam style, while the three non-dancers pumped their fists in the background; something they could easily manage, though not in time with each other, or with the music.
The girls were thrilled, and the level of screaming increased.
Alton had to chuckle. He’d never seen anything like it. It was like he’d gone back in time to an old-school rock concert with all of the girls screaming and crying at the pop stars.
In the next chorus, the men all turned their backs to their audience and ripped open the studs on their shirts, throwing them aside. Some of them landed on the heads of other men, and there was some clumsy scrambling while the girls wolf whistled.
Lili was particularly enthusiastic, Alton saw, leaping out of her seat and whooping with delight.
The men turned back to face the audience, Brenner singing; "I got a love that keeps me waiting".
Okay, Delphi had to admit it was a pretty hot view, all of these cute shirtless men with fit bodies, six packs and big biceps. What’s not to like?
Lili was jumping up and down on the spot clapping and cheering. She didn’t know where to look, as her eyes drank in the sight of all the cute boys. She felt like she’d opened a box of her favourite assorted chocolates and couldn’t choose which one to eat first.
Delphi suddenly noticed that Brenner was singing the words of the song directly to her, looking straight into her eyes with a teasing look; "I got a love that keeps me waiting, I’m a lonely boy".
How could he possibly be a lonely boy? she thought. He must have girls flocking him at home.
She had to admit he looked pretty damn cute in those jeans with no shirt on, and a man who looked like that and could dance too, well... she wasn’t made of stone...
She got a prickly feeling that made the hairs on the back of her neck stand up, like there was an unseen watcher. She didn’t dare look back at Alton, figuring he was the likely cause.
As it came to the last chorus, the men again turned their back to the girls, and Delphi noticed Winter rubbing her hands together with delight.
Now the men ripped their jeans, and they came away in their hands. They must have had hidden studs down the legs, Delphi realised, and she laughed, looking over at Winter, who had clearly helped with the props.
The men danced forward in their boxers. Winter had found them literal ’boxer’s boxer shorts,’ like a pro-fighter would wear in the ring.
The men all came dancing up to the woman of their choice, the obvious ones; Han to Winter, Cormac to Lili, Magnus to Ruby, Niko to Indy, Baer to Loveday, Wolf to Arrie, then Kai danced up to Feifei, and Brenner to Delphi.
The men did a stripper-like pelvic thrust for the women, turning a full circle in front of them and giving them a close-up eyeful of their fit bodies.
Alton was standing up now, seething with anger, but unsure if he should intervene.
The men ended the song by throwing themselves onto the women’s laps.
Lili was hysterical with laughter, wiping the tears from her eyes and giving Cormac a passionate kiss.
Arrie groaned under the huge weight of Wolf on her little five-foot frame. He was pretty cute; she realised for the first time.
Ruby blushed bright red, holding the half-naked Magnus, and Indy fell off the bleacher on top of Niko when he plonked his full weight onto her lap; he was a huge unit after all.
Loveday shook with the effort of holding up Baer; she looked across at Arrie and mouthed, ’sorry’, raising her shoulders in a gesture of helplessness. Arrie smiled and winked at her.
Brenner grinned his cute smile at Delphi. Okay, okay, she thought, you’re hot and you know it, don’t lay it on too thick. She gave him a direct stare in return, which made him laugh out loud.
"Is that a challenge?" he asked her.
"Who’s the winner General?" puffed Arrie with what little breath she had left after holding Wolf’s weight for so long.
"The girls’ of course," he growled. "What’s this stripper nonsense. Enough already men!"
He started to make his way down the bleachers, intending to pull Delphi out from under that half-naked clown.
"Woo hoo! The girls are the winners! Victory lap time," called Brenner to the other men.
He looked up and saw General Meyer descending the bleachers towards him and he jumped off Delphi’s lap, snatching her up before the general could take her from him. He was onto him now, and knew they were love rivals.
Brenner grabbed Delphi in a ’front carry’, so her chest was pressed to his and she was forced to wrap her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck like a koala, to stay up.
This left her face inches from his, and his previously cute grin disappeared, replaced by an intense look she recognised all too well.
"You look good enough to eat in that outfit Delphine," he said to her, looking down at the vast amount of her bosoms that were overflowing from her bustier.
"They don’t look as good without a bra to hold them up, trust me," she joked.
"Let me check, and I’ll tell you if I agree with you or not," he deadpanned.
