One Piece: I'm Destined to Be the Son-in-Law King!-Chapter 173: Beauty Awaits Those Who Can Endure Loneliness
Chapter 173 - Beauty Awaits Those Who Can Endure Loneliness
In the New World, nestled was the Prodence Kingdom.
King Elizabello II possessed the legendary "King's Fist," a skill rumored to shatter fortresses with a single, mighty blow! Whispers even claimed that a direct hit could fell one of the Four Emperors themselves.
Yet, even with such power, King Elizabello was weighed down by worries, his brow furrowed with concern.
The Kingdom was embroiled in a fierce war, facing an enemy that had somehow amassed a frightening arsenal, overwhelming their own forces.
The thought of defeat sent shivers down his spine. The consequences were simply too terrible to imagine.
A visitor arrived at the Royal Palace: Commodore Hina of the G-5 Branch.
Elizabello, seated on his throne, greeted her with a weary expression, "Marine, what brings you to my kingdom?"
"Your Majesty," Hina began, "we're here to offer aid to the Prodence Kingdom. Though, I must admit, I wasn't exactly thrilled to come." A cigarette dangled from her lips, a clear sign of her reluctance.
She detested dealing with these royal squabbles, finding the endless politics and hidden agendas utterly draining.
Strategist Dagama, standing proudly below the throne, scoffed loudly. "Gama-hahaha! Marine, don't overestimate yourselves! We are not so feeble as to require your assistance!"
Prodence was a Member State of the World Government, which meant their relationship with the Marines should be amicable.
However, seeking help would reveal their weakness, a dangerous move that could invite aggression. Besides, wars between kingdoms were considered private matters, beyond the Marines' jurisdiction.
"That's precisely why I can't stand you lot," Hina sighed quietly, unsurprised by their reaction. "I'll cut to the chase. Our Marine investigation has uncovered the source of the Cabel Kingdom's weapons. If you're interested, I can share that information."
King Elizabello and Strategist Dagama were visibly shocked. "What?!" they exclaimed in unison.
The Cabel Kingdom was their sworn enemy!
They had been evenly matched for years, enjoying relative peace. But out of nowhere, half a year ago, Cabel had declared war.
At first, Elizabello had been confident, believing his King's Fist would secure victory.
However, Cabel's military strength far surpassed his expectations, with an inexhaustible supply of weapons that seemed to materialize from thin air.
War was a matter of attrition, a brutal test of resources and endurance.
The Prodence Kingdom was quickly losing ground, its resources dwindling rapidly. At this rate, they wouldn't even be able to afford the Heavenly Tribute in a few years!
That would spell utter destruction!
Elizabello pressed forward, "Commodore Hina, where did Cabel Kingdom obtain these weapons?"
"Dressrosa!" Hina stated bluntly. "That's all I know. The weapons come from Dressrosa, but I don't have the specifics. You'll have to investigate further. I don't have all the details."
Her mission was simply to point them in the right direction. What they did with that information was their own problem.
Doflamingo was one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea and the King of Dressrosa. Without concrete proof, the Marines couldn't reveal too much, lest they provoke a major diplomatic incident.
"Well, then, I'll be on my way."
Hina departed with her subordinates, knowing she had other affected countries to inform. Prodence wasn't the only kingdom caught in this web of war.
As the Underworld's biggest arms dealer, the Don Quixote Family's influence reached even the distant Four Seas.

Meanwhile, on Punk Hazard...
Inside Caesar's Laboratory...
"Bang!"
The source of this c𝓸ntent is frёeweɓηovel.coɱ.
The door burst open with a crash as the Marine Science Unit stormed in, weapons raised and aimed at Caesar, loaded with special Prison Bullets.
Caesar, standing beside his research table, was furious. "What is the meaning of this?!" he bellowed, gesturing wildly.
"Stay where you are! You're under arrest!" an officer stated coldly. Even Caesar, with his powerful Logia-type abilities, couldn't escape the Prison Bullets in this confined space.
"Damn you! Do you know who you're talking to?!" Caesar roared. "Who authorized this?!"
"I did, Caesar!" Vegapunk himself stepped into the room.
Caesar's heart skipped a beat. Something's very wrong, he thought. Still, he questioned angrily, "What's going on here?"
"Caesar, I can no longer tolerate your vile weapon research," Vegapunk replied coldly. "I've decided to expel you from the Science Unit!"
In his opinion, Caesar's experiments crossed the line, violating human ethics. If they were ever unleashed, they could cause untold devastation.
Caesar let out a scornful laugh.
"What a joke! The World Government needs my weapons! I'm on the verge of completing my Ultimate Weapon!"
"That kind of weapon shouldn't exist! Seize him!" Vegapunk ordered.
"Get out of my way!" Caesar shoved aside the soldiers rushing towards him and lunged towards his research table. His eyes fixed on a red skull-shaped button, and he pressed it without hesitation.
"Shurorororo!" he cackled.
"Watch closely, Vegapunk! I am the world's greatest scientist!"
"Protect Vegapunk!"
"Boom!!!"
The Research Institute was obliterated in a cataclysmic explosion, the shockwave ripping through the entire facility.
Punk Hazard was devastated.

At the Marine G-5 Branch...
Inside "The World"...
"Dong! Dong! Dong!"
Roya bombarded the Warship Coating with powerful punches. Each blow resonated with a clear, ringing sound, but it wasn't as loud as Teacher Zephyr's.
Not nearly enough, he thought.
The G-5 Branch didn't have any spare warships for him to practice on, so he was forced to train harder in "The World," pushing his physical limits.
Ten thousand Proper Fists, every single day!
Each punch had to be delivered with maximum force, producing a clear chime from the Warship Coating to count as a valid repetition. Only then was he done for the day. This was his daily regimen.
Teacher Zephyr had told him that the final stage of training had no hidden secrets. Only perseverance.
Roya agreed wholeheartedly.
But it wasn't easy.
Like in the G-5 Base, there were too many distractions, making it difficult to focus.
Even when left undisturbed, his mind would wander. What should I eat for lunch? What are my subordinates up to? What kind of enemies will I face in the future?
Only in the quiet of "The World" could he achieve true, focused training. This indescribable silence was the main reason he could stick to his grueling routine.
It's just a bit lonely, he mused.
Greatness awaits those who endure loneliness.
"Dong!!!"
The ten-thousandth Proper Fist!
"Hoo..."
Roya sighed, ending his training for the day.
"The World" could sustain him for a while, but there was no need to overdo it. Relaxation was equally important.
Roya returned to the dormitory, stood by the window, and gazed at the starry sky.
In terms of training intensity alone, I should have reached 200x the effort of an ordinary Marine by now.
It's time to take the next step towards becoming an "Admiral"!
