At the very top of Skull Castle, Roya and Yamato were sharing some sake.

"Wahaha, I'm so incredibly happy!" Yamato exclaimed, her cheeks flushed and her beautiful eyes shining with joy.

She had never felt so free and light. It wasn't just because she'd finally taken off those cursed handcuffs, but because she'd finally released the heavy weight that had been crushing her heart.

From now on, I can truly live my own life!

"Roya, I'll catch up with you later," Yamato said, hoisting her Wolf Fang Club over her shoulder with a playful giggle. "There's some troublemaker causing problems down below, and I'm going to go teach him a lesson!"

"Alright, I'll be waiting," Roya replied with a warm smile.

Inside Skull Castle, chaos reigned as flames danced wildly through the air.

"Crush the intruders!"

"Ooooh!!!"

The Beasts Pirates roared in unison, a relentless wave charging towards Ace. They knew that if Onigashima Palace were destroyed, Kaido would show them no mercy.

"Damn it, this is never-ending! I'm here to find Kaido!" Ace shouted, leaping into the air and throwing a powerful punch.

"Fire Fist!"

"Boom!!!"

A dozen pirates screamed as they were consumed by roaring flames!

"Stop right there!"

Just as Ace was creating more fiery chaos, Yamato descended from the sky, rushing towards him. Her Wolf Fang Club collided with his blazing Fire Fist in a burst of raw power!

"It's Princess Oni!"

"Take him down, Princess Oni!"

"Let Fire Fist taste true power!"

The Beasts Pirates roared their approval. They were confident that as long as Princess Oni took action, this "Fire Fist" wouldn't stand a chance.

"Boom!"

The force of the impact sent both Ace and Yamato flying backwards, creating some distance between them.

Yamato slammed her Wolf Fang Club into the ground with a resounding thud and shouted, "That's enough! Just leave!"

"Who are you?" Ace asked, his brow furrowed in confusion.

From their brief clash, he could feel the incredible strength radiating from the woman before him.

"I am Yamato!" she declared proudly. "Are you here to challenge my father, Kaido? He's off on an expedition with the Executives right now, so you're wasting your time here!"

"So he's not here!" Ace said, his frown deepening.

He had already suspected that Kaido was absent; otherwise, he would have made an appearance after all this commotion.

"Captain!"

His subordinates rushed towards him, followed by a group of young women and children, all of them tributes sent by Orochi.

"Captain Ace, we've rescued all the kidnapped villagers!"

"Get them out of here immediately!" Ace ordered, stepping in front of his subordinates, his eyes warily fixed on Yamato.

He was worried that she would try to stop them, but to his surprise, she didn't interfere at all. Instead, she cooperatively cleared the way for them to pass.

"Hurry and get them home safe," she said.

"Thank you!" Ace replied, bowing his head slightly in gratitude.

Since Kaido wasn't here, he had no reason to stay any longer.

Wait!

Just as Ace was about to leave, a realization struck him, and he looked at Yamato in shock. "You're Kaido's daughter?"

"That's right. Is there a problem?" Yamato replied, her brow furrowing. She hated being recognized as Kaido's daughter; she wanted nothing to do with that monster.

Ace grinned, flames flickering around his fist.

"You're strong. Let's fight!"

"Okay, I'm bored anyway," Yamato agreed with a shrug.

"Follow me, let's go somewhere else. This place can't handle any more of your destruction!" she said, already moving.

"Alright!" Ace replied, following close behind.

Under the watchful eyes of the Beasts Pirates, Yamato and Ace left together.

Soon, they arrived at the vast platform atop Skull Castle.

Ace was brimming with fighting spirit, but when he spotted Roya casually drinking sake nearby, his smile instantly vanished.

I need to get off this island as soon as possible!

Almost instinctively, Ace turned around, ready to flee as quickly as possible. All thoughts of a duel were forgotten.

"Yo, Ace," a familiar voice called out from behind, laced with laughter.

He found me!

Ace stopped walking, his body stiffening. He slowly turned around to face Roya, forcing a smile that looked more like a grimace.

"Roya, what are you doing here?"

"What do you think?" Roya replied with a chuckle, raising an eyebrow.

Ace almost burst into tears.

Does this guy have a personal vendetta against me? How persistent can he be, chasing me all the way to a Four Emperors' base?!

"This is bad," he muttered under his breath.

Yamato walked over, and when she saw Ace chatting with Roya, she exclaimed, "Oh, right, you two are partners!"

"Yes, we are," Roya replied with a smile, his eyes fixed on Ace. "So, have you made a decision yet?"

"I..." Ace began, but the painful memories of their previous encounters flashed through his mind, and his confidence wavered.

This guy beat me like my grandfather used to! He could beat a person to death!

Ace took a deep breath, trying to compose himself under Roya's gaze. He forced a calm expression and said, "Roya, I need more time to think about it!"

"Alright, I'll give you a few more days," Roya said, unconcerned.

Ace's attitude was much improved compared to their last meeting; a few beatings had clearly made a significant impact.

I'll just have to beat him again next time.

Yamato tilted her head, confused by the relationship between Ace and Roya. It didn't seem like they were true partners.

Never mind.

Yamato raised her Wolf Fang Club, pointing it directly at Ace.

"Let's duel!"

"Okay!" Ace braced himself, trying to look confident. His eyes darted nervously towards Roya, who was casually observing the situation, and his heart was still filled with unease.

What if he changes his mind...?

Roya noticed Ace's anxious expression and reminded him with amusement, "Don't get distracted, Yamato is strong!"

Of course I know that!

Ace roared inwardly, finally focusing his attention on Yamato. He saw the lightning crackling around her Wolf Fang Club and sensed the raw power building within her. The hairs on the back of his neck stood on end.

Danger!

"Ooooh!!!"

Yamato charged forward with incredible speed, instantly closing the distance between them. She roared as she swung her Wolf Fang Club, pouring all the pent-up frustration and negativity from the years into this single strike!

I'm going to break free!

"Thunder Bagua!!"

The pitch-black Wolf Fang Club appeared before Ace's eyes!

Imprinted on it was the kanji for "Death"!

"Boom!!!"

The blow landed!

Ace's eyes rolled back as he was sent flying through the air, his body a speeding projectile leaving a trail of turbulent air in its wake.

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

Rock, trees, small mountains!

Everything in his path was obliterated!

A massive cloud of dust rose thousands of feet into the air!

Roya stared at the dust cloud in the distance, cold sweat breaking out on his forehead.

"Hey, isn't that going a bit too far?!" he muttered. "You're just sparring, not fighting to the death!"

"Ahhh, this is terrible!" Yamato exclaimed, finally realizing what she had done.

She had been so caught up in the joy of freedom, so focused on saying goodbye to her past self, that she had subconsciously gone all out.

I even subconsciously imagined that Ace was my father, Kaido!

"Ace!" Yamato cried out, running towards the cloud of dust in a panic.

If I killed Ace, I'd never forgive myself!

Roya sighed, his brow furrowed.

Poor Ace.

He hadn't even planned to attack this time, but he still couldn't escape this disaster, and now he'd taken a Thunder Bagua!

I wonder if that counts as lucky.

That kid has a strong life force. He should probably be alright, right?
