Chapter 204 - 204: Battle on the Black Crow Deck
"Hey."
Hearing this, Poken grinned and sneered, but did not reply. Instead, he clenched his fist, and with terrifying speed, he lunged forward. His speed was so intense that Mio nearly lost sight of him, as if he had blinked into existence right in front of him.
Then came the punch—fast, fierce, and full of destructive power.
Mio had been alert the entire time. His Observation Haki was spread throughout the battlefield, and his body was tense. Reacting instantly, he clenched his right fist. Armament Haki and the demonic power within him surged and wrapped around his arm in an instant.
"Roar of the Fire Dragon!"
A low shout burst from Mio's lips.
Flames gushed from Mio's fist, turning it into a blazing weapon of destruction.
Rumble.
His punch launched forward, colliding directly with Poken's attack.
The ground beneath them split and caved in from the terrifying impact, cracks spiderwebbing outward.
For a moment, they appeared evenly matched.
"Get lost!" Mio suddenly growled, and with a surge of power, he released the full force of his demonic energy. Corrosive flames burst out along with his Haki, overwhelming Poken's fist, even weakening the Armament Haki it was coated in.
Poken's expression changed, and he was forced to retreat to avoid further impact.
At the same time, his eyes narrowed. The brief exchange had revealed something critical—this "newcomer" who had broken out of Impel Down and made headlines across the sea was no ordinary pirate.
This was a monster.
At least among the newcomers of recent years, Mio's strength was monstrous—completely out of league with what one would expect from a rookie.
Facing Poken, Mio grinned, his demonic energy still surging wildly as he laughed. "Don't you run away later, Poken!"
As his words dropped, so did a wave of intense fighting spirit. A powerful Conqueror's Haki burst from Mio's body, sweeping across the area. Pirates nearby who had just regained consciousness collapsed again under the sheer pressure.
"Hmph," Poken snorted, his face darkening. He said nothing, but his aura also surged. He wasn't afraid—not due to ignorance, but due to pride.
A newcomer?
That was a joke.
"If you want to die, I can grant your wish," Poken said coldly before vanishing.

In the blink of an eye, he reappeared in front of Mio and threw another punch. The air trembled around his fist, which carried the weight of explosive power.
Mio's demonic energy surged again. The power he had been accumulating within him erupted, manifesting a massive crimson skeleton that wrapped protectively around his body.
With a wave of Mio's fist, the crimson skeletal giant followed.
Their fists collided.
Again, they were evenly matched.
But around them, the battlefield was changing.
Several of Poken's subordinates drew their weapons and charged toward Mio.
They weren't weak. Each one of them was strong enough to cause chaos in the New World.
One of them pulled out a long rifle and aimed at Mio's head, despite it being protected by the crimson skeleton.
Bang.
A special bullet burst out of the barrel.
But before it could hit—
Swish.
A katana, glistening with Armament Haki, slashed through the air and split the bullet in half.
Erica stood with one hand on her blade, staring calmly at the sniper. She said nothing, but her expression was cold, and the killing intent around her had already locked on her target.
"It's best not to interfere with the gentleman's battle," Lilith said with a bright smile. "Otherwise... people will die."
As she raised her right hand, a pair of radiant wings emerged from her back. Wind blades began to condense around her.
Boom.
A loud crash followed.
Mashi pulled back her fist, wings unfurled behind her. At her feet lay a man she had just flattened with a single blow. Without a care, she smiled confidently. "If it's a fight you want, I'll be your opponent!"
She waved her fist again, flames licking her knuckles.
"Damn brat, go to hell!" A furious shout came from behind her.
One of Poken's men had snapped. Seeing his comrade fall to Mashi's punch, he lost his cool and charged at her from behind, his bulging muscles taut with energy. His punch glowed with Armament Haki, aimed directly at the back of Mashi's head.
But—
Boom!
Mashi spun around mid-step and launched a punch of her own. Flames roared outward.
The next instant, the attacker flew backward like a ragdoll, his body bouncing along the ground and leaving a deep groove behind.
"So weak!" Mashi scoffed, dusting her palms and showing no hint of restraint in her contempt.
"Damn... that kid." Another of Poken's subordinates tensed up. He finally realized that none of the Black Crow crew were ordinary fighters. "They're all monsters..."
Then his eyes shifted toward Robin—quiet, cautious, always standing close to Erica.
A weak point?
He recognized Robin's face. That must be Nico Robin. He thought he'd found the crew's weak link.
He smiled coldly. If he caught her, maybe the Black Crow Pirates would be forced to surrender.
Just as that thought entered his mind, he moved—like a bullet from a cannon, he shot straight toward Robin.
But—
Lilith's smile faded.
"I warned you... someone would die," she said softly.
Her eyes turned sharp as blades. She flicked her hand.
The wings on her back trembled, and in a flash, hundreds of wind blades formed and vanished—only to reappear in front of the charging man.
Puff.
Puff.
Blood spattered.
Dozens of gashes appeared on the man's body. The cuts were deep, exposing white bone. In mere seconds, he was left bloodied and frozen mid-charge.
He stopped, trembling, his face pale with terror as he stared at Lilith.
She wasn't just scary—she was terrifying.
"I said someone would die," Lilith repeated, her tone icy. "So you must die."
She waved her hand again.
The wind blades reappeared.
Puff.
More wounds opened up across his body. Even with Armament Haki protecting him, he couldn't withstand the barrage. He couldn't even tell where the blades were coming from.
The sky above the Black Crow's deck grew darker.
And for Poken's subordinates, death had already arrived.
