One Piece: Alucard the Immortal-Chapter 499 - 498: All on a Whim

Cavendish pulled out a chair and sat across from Loli A. Removing the red rose pinned to his chest, he sniffed it with a flourish of vanity. "Allow me to reintroduce myself. My name is Cavendish, the man destined to become a global superstar."

"That’s what everyone calls me."

Loli A’s lips curled upward. "Alucard."

Cavendish’s hand jerked, the sudden force snapping the red rose in two. The bud fell to the floor, but Cavendish didn’t care. He slammed his hands onto the table and shouted, "Hey! If you’re going to use a fake name, at least put some heart into it! Isn’t that the name of one of the Yonko?"

"Hahaha..."

Loli A let out a soft chuckle, not bothering to offer him any further explanation.

"Cough, cough."

Cavendish coughed twice, struggling to regain his facade of refined elegance. "Because of the sheer destructive power of Dragon’s battle, I had no choice but to temporarily retreat to avoid the brunt of it. Unfortunately, I didn’t see who his opponent was. It couldn’t have been you, could it?"

Pere pere pere...

Just as Cavendish finished his question, the sound of a miniature Den Den Mushi drifted from Loli A’s white coat pocket.

Ignoring Cavendish’s question, Loli A took out the phone and answered. Sitting opposite her, Cavendish’s eyes twitched, his composure on the verge of total collapse.

"It’s me. I’ve already delivered the Swap-Swap Fruit to Ivalis and the others. Can they be the ones to send it back?"

Law’s low voice emanated from the Den Den Mushi, his eyes taking on his trademark "dead fish" look.

"From your tone, you seem to be in quite a hurry," Loli A said with a faint smile, showing no intention of refusing Law’s request.

"Crocodile was the first person since I went out to sea to give me a taste of defeat. Unless I take him down, my heart will never find peace."

Across the table, Cavendish’s pupils shrank at the mention of "Crocodile." He thought to himself: Crocodile... isn’t that one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea?

"Since you have no objections, I’ll hand the fruit over to Ivalis and be on my way. That’s all..."

Law prepared to hang up, but before he could, Loli A spoke: "Wait. Tell Ivalis and the rest to take the Swap-Swap Fruit to Human Auction House No. 1 and let Doflamingo’s subordinates keep it for now. Tell Ivalis to come to Niflheim; there’s an interesting brat here I want them to pick up."

After a period of silence, Law said, "I will definitely defeat Doflamingo as well."

"Tell me that when you’re actually capable of it," Loli A mocked before pressing down the snail’s shell, ending the call.

"What was that call all about?"

Cavendish looked at the girl before him, his expression tense. A few short sentences had just involved Crocodile of the Warlords, Doflamingo, and Ivalis of the Golden Hair Pirates, all of whom were legendary figures far beyond his current reach.

Just who was this little girl...?

"Keep at it, brat. I’m sure things will get interesting in the future." Having said her piece, Loli A’s body dissolved into dark shadows, vanishing into the corner of the bar.

"Hey! Don’t call me ’brat,’ you brat!"

Cavendish flared up again. Recalling the girl’s words, he muttered to himself, "Wait, she said ’the brat in Niflheim’... was she talking about me? Don’t be ridiculous! I’m leaving tomorrow. How could I stay in a place that’s basically the ’front of the front’ of the Grand Line? I’m going to be a superstar!"

As he spoke, Cavendish began to act out two roles at once:

Standing on the shore of the Sabaody Archipelago, Ivalis held the receiver while surrounded by the crew of the Golden Hair Pirates.

"It was a decent fight. Did Garp not stop you?"

Beckman’s expression twitched. Ivalis gave him a knowing look before signaling to Alucard that they accepted the order and hung up.

Loli A poured red wine into a glass by the railing and looked up at the blue sky. "Is my next opponent Garp? I’m afraid even he has declined with age."

In the stables of the inn where Cavendish was staying, he was currently locked in a "battle of wits" with his beloved horse, Farul.

"Farul, why won’t you move? We’re supposed to leave this city today!"

Cavendish was on the verge of a breakdown. He had planned to set sail today, but for some reason, Farul refused to budge from the stable. No matter what Cavendish tried, the horse wouldn’t come out. Finally, he could only scream at the sky in grief and indignation:
