One Night Bride: Master Blackwood's Substitute Wife-Chapter 879: Just Sign It
At this moment, her assistant, face flushed with urgency, rushed in and shouted, "Miss Langley, something terrible has happened! Mr. Langley didn’t make it; he’s gone!"
What?
Sharon Langley’s expression froze in shock, staring incredulously in the direction her assistant had rushed in from, her face pale.
How could this be?
A few days ago, the doctor said that with proper follow-up treatment, he could be saved. How could it suddenly be that she’s told he’s gone?
Sharon couldn’t believe this reality; how could her father be gone? Impossible...
Her lips quivered, and the tears that had just welled up in her eyes suddenly fell, catching her off guard.
"Sob sob..."
She covered her mouth, choking with difficult sobs.
Silas Eastwood was originally furious about her insistence on aborting the child, but at this moment, seeing her so distraught, his anger turned into heartache.
"Sharon."
He walked over, instinctively wanting to hug Sharon Langley’s shoulders, but Sharon raised her eyes and flung herself into his arms first, crying out loud.
"What do I do? I don’t have a father anymore, the father who loved me the most is gone..."
Sharon clutched Silas Eastwood’s shoulders, crying until her eyes were swollen, her broken voice completely unintelligible.
Silas furrowed his brows tightly, feeling sorry for her, and raised his hand to gently pat her shoulder.
"Sharon, you still have me, I’m here..."
"Sob sob..." 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
Sharon buried her head in his broad shoulder, already heartbroken beyond measure.
With a deep breath, Silas didn’t know how long they held each other. After thinking for a moment, he was about to speak when Sharon suddenly pushed him away.
The woman had already wiped her tears and regained her composure.
"Leave."
She spoke to Silas in a calm voice.
Silas’s previously calm demeanor suddenly turned cold.
This woman, did she really just use him and then discard him?
Sharon continued, "The matters ahead no longer concern you. If you want me to keep this child, then divorce sooner. Otherwise, if you don’t sign the divorce papers, I will find every way possible to abort this child."
Her tone was cold, and each sentence was filled with calculation!
Silas’s dark pupils sank abruptly, a chilling aura spreading throughout him.
Fine! Very fine!
To force him to divorce, she even brought up the child in her womb. It’s unbelievably good!
Silas swallowed hard and, when he spoke again, his voice was deep and low, "You want a divorce, huh? Fine, I’ll grant you that!"
He agreed to the divorce.
Sharon’s hands hanging by her sides clenched unconsciously, her manicured nails digging into her flesh with a cold sting.
Taking a deep breath, she instructed her assistant, "Go get the divorce papers."
The assistant, looking at the two of them, dared not say more. Upon hearing this, she quickly went to fetch the divorce papers.
"Miss Langley, here you go."
Before long, the assistant returned and handed the divorce papers to Sharon Langley.
Sharon had already signed them, so she didn’t even look as she handed them directly to Silas Eastwood.
"Sign it."
Silas’s hawk-like sharp eyes stared fiercely at the woman, trying to discern any emotion in her gaze. However, Sharon Langley’s expression remained calm, without reluctance or any ripple.
