One Night Bride: Master Blackwood's Substitute Wife-Chapter 834: Living Together
Ivy Kensington felt even more guilty in her heart. She swallowed and said, "Don’t worry, this wound happened because of me, and I will take full responsibility."
Evan Lowell leaned weakly on her shoulder and hummed in acknowledgment.
"Thank you."
Ivy carefully cleaned his wound again and changed to a clean bandage. The festering wound finally looked a bit better, not so terrifying anymore.
"If you feel any discomfort later, you must tell me immediately."
Ivy threw the last piece of bloody gauze into the trash can and softly reminded him.
At this moment, Evan suddenly clutched her slender wrist tightly.
"Ivy, why don’t you move in and live with me?"
What?
Ivy was taken aback, completely stunned by his words.
Move in together...
She had never really thought about this, despite them being in a relationship akin to an unwed couple.
Evan looked at her seriously and explained, "I don’t have any other intentions. It’s just that you said you wanted to take care of my injury. If you keep running back and forth every day, I really can’t bear it. Moving in together would be much more convenient."
Ivy remained silent, staring blankly at his freshly bandaged wound.
Should she really move in?
Seeing her silence, Evan gave a bitter laugh, "Forget it, Ivy. Just pretend you didn’t hear it. I know you don’t want to, and I don’t wish to force you."
That dejected tone...
Ivy felt as if she was not human anymore, as if it was her fault he was injured, and yet she was unwilling to carefully take care of him.
Biting her lip tightly, Ivy said, "I’ll think about it."
Hearing this, Evan reached up and gently stroked her soft hair, "Ivy, thank you."
"You should get some rest first. I’ll come by again tomorrow."
Saying that, Ivy got up and left.
"I’ll see you off."
Evan said, catching up to her leaving figure.
Watching Ivy’s gradually receding back, Evan’s smile slowly faded away. Moments later, he gave his assistant a call.
"Is that person taken care of?"
He wouldn’t be so stupid as to let that kidnapper stay well in Celestia.
Even though Celestia is vast, if one day, Ivy and that person happened to meet, and the whole thing comes out, everything he’s done would be in vain.
He would never allow such a thing to happen.
The assistant replied, "Eldest Young Master Lowell, the person has already been deported and won’t have a chance to return for the rest of his life."
Moreover, he won’t have the fate to return alive.
"Good, I know."
Evan nodded in satisfaction.
Knowing Ivy’s softheartedness, it’s likely that in a few days, she will agree to move in!
Everything is under his control.
After leaving Evan’s place, Ivy took a cab to the nearest large mall, intending to buy some gifts for Ronnie tomorrow when she ran into a familiar face.
"With your background, do you deserve these new items? Don’t you even see what kind of person you are?"
A sharp and mean voice came over, immediately followed by sneers from those around them.
"Exactly, do you really think you can still get into our Veridia high-society elite circle?"
"Unlike some people, who don’t even know how many men have played with them!"
Sharon Langley stared expressionlessly at these women who dressed glamorously and prided themselves as socialites, her eyes showing disdain.
These people, even a beggar from the street would have more manners than them!
She was here today to order a suit for Silas Eastwood, as his birthday was coming up. Each time she saw him at work, he seemed to wear the same suit, so Sharon felt a pang of pity and decided to personally gift him a custom suit.
"Get lost, I have no time to waste words with you here."
