Stan Sol was familiar with this sound, a look of surprise crossing his face.

This expression indicated that Stan Sol was utterly taken aback by the approaching menace; he had no way to defuse the current crisis.

"Hide!" All Stan Sol could do was shout, warning his companions about the impending danger.

Before Igor and the others could react, the red-glowing object from afar had already swiftly flown past them. As it streaked by, Igor felt a strong pressure. These flying creatures seemed to be testing them.

"What on earth is this?" Kadi cried out. He'd been struck by one of the black creatures, leaving a bleeding gash on his face.

Upon seeing the blood on Kadi's face in the firelight, Stan Sol immediately went on high alert. He then yelled out, "Sharkmon, go!"

Sharkmon transformed into a cape and swiftly flew to Kadi, enveloping him securely.

Before Igor could marvel at what had just happened, the swarm of probing creatures launched another attack. This time, their target was Kadi!

ZZZOO-OOO— The black flying creatures initially planned to attack Kadi, but Sharkmon protected him, preventing the creatures from reaching their target. After tearing at Sharkmon a few times, they flew back into the air.

In the meantime, Stan Sol tried using a fire attack, but it had no effect.

Igor was bewildered. The Blood-Sucking Worm problem had just ended, and now they were immediately facing an invasion of these unknown flying creatures. The pace was much faster than before.

Igor felt completely lost, unsure what to do.

"What's going on?" Igor couldn't help but voice his confusion during a brief lull. But, unsurprisingly, no one could answer him.

The situation was tense. The slightest careless move might result in an attack by the swift flying creatures, and no one could afford to be distracted.

Seeing this, Igor gave up pursuing an answer. He couldn't just rely on others to analyze the situation for him. Everyone needed to keep their guard up at this moment; otherwise, the outcome could be grim.

Igor realized he was unfamiliar with these unknown entities; compared to him, Stan Sol seemed much more mature...

But there was no room for self-pity under the current circumstances. These flying creatures were relentless, relentlessly pursuing Kadi, as if something unique about him was attracting them.

If it weren't for Stan Sol's Sharkmon, Kadi would probably have been torn to shreds by now.

Using his Battle Pet's flames as a source of light, Igor scrutinized the situation. He couldn't protect himself like Stan Sol was with his Battle Pet. His only choice was to identify weaknesses in the attackers through analysis.

With careful observation, he was bound to discover something. Sharkmon effectively shielded Kadi, but the flying creatures kept trying to break through its defense. However, they completely ignored Igor, Stan Sol, and the still-dazed Hustace.

This gave Igor a strong sense that there must be something special about Kadi attracting these flying creatures.

What's more, the flying creatures were about the same size as rats, and closer inspection showed that they looked like bats...

Wait a minute. Blood-Sucking Worms... Kadi... A connection sparked in Igor's mind.

Could these be the legendary Vampire Bats? Igor grew anxious.

Igor recalled the probing assault not long ago, where Kadi seemed to have been scratched, leaving blood on his face...

Igor gasped as a realization struck him.

Those red eyes... they had to be Vampire Bats!

Vampire Bats enjoy feasting on blood. They were obviously attracted by Kadi's blood.

Vampire Bats were notorious for attacking in swarms. If surrounded, escape was nearly impossible, as most attacks were useless against these peculiar creatures. Swords, knives, fire, or water—nothing could drive them away.

Once these creatures fixated on you, you were virtually doomed. They wouldn't leave until they'd drained all your blood.

Typically, they worked in tandem with Blood-Sucking Worms.

The Blood-Sucking Worms take over a person's body, providing blood for the Vampire Bats to feast on...

This hidden enemy's strategy was vicious, almost overwhelming Igor.

No wonder Stan Sol had immediately summoned Sharkmon to protect Kadi. If it weren't for Sharkmon, Kadi might have already been drained dry by the swarm of Vampire Bats...

Poor Sharkmon, selflessly enduring the black Vampire Bats' frenzied attacks...

There were very few effective methods to deal with Vampire Bats. Igor knew of only one effective method against these creatures: Soundwave Attack. However, very few people in this world had mastered such a technique.

It seemed the previously hidden adversary—though calling it 'hidden' was no longer appropriate—had revealed itself. The once-elusive shadow now hovered in the air.

Despite the darkness enveloping everything, Igor and his comrades could still see a silhouette.

This adversary is likely a Dark Beast Trainer, Igor thought. How else could it constantly unleash these strange black creatures on us?

Though Igor had discovered what was attacking them, he still had no idea how to repel these strange creatures!

Even if he were to activate his Scale of Faith, he wouldn't be able to defeat these Vampire Bats.

Igor felt helpless, still clueless about what to do.

What should I do? Igor sank into deep thought.

Just as Igor was agonizing over what to do, an eerie sound suddenly resonated through the air.

ZZZ... It sounded like a low hum, almost like someone singing.

Before Igor could figure out what was going on, the swarm of Vampire Bats, as if they had encountered their natural enemy, flew off Kadi in a panic.

Igor was taken aback. Could this be the legendary Bass Wave Attack?

Igor wasn't sure, but seeing the Vampire Bats fleeing frantically in all directions made it hard for him not to believe what was happening before his eyes.

But who launched this attack? Igor wondered.

Before Igor could fully process this, the low sound pulsed through the air again.

This time, whoever was using the Soundwave Attack seemed to increase its power, dealing a heavy blow to the Vampire Bats. Most of them began to fall to the ground, lifeless.

Who on earth could use a Soundwave Attack? The question weighed heavily on Igor's mind.

Could it be the Little Black Hands? Igor's thoughts instinctively turned in that direction.
